Peter sticking himself to a police helicopter being piloted by Wendy; overlooked the carnage going on down at Ryker's Island; Peter gulped looking down at the carnage but looked firm. "Are you sure that you are fine taking care of this on your own Spidey? A full blown prison riot with a lot of dangerous weapons and the guards, officers and agents are overwhelmed... Bad enough but when Venom shows his face to you..." Wendy asked as Peter looked to her through the window.
"I will be fine; someone has to do this and thanks for your help..." Peter replied as he jumped down and used his webs to secure himself a landing as he saw the fire around him as criminals and prisoners were loose using the guards' weapons and the high tech weapons provided to them to cause damage.
Peter was picking up rubble to throw at some prisoners and the invading criminals knocking some back but sone noticed and use the high tech blaster to blast it apaprt. Peter the nbegan dodging blasts but ended up getting hit by one sending him back. Some prisoners ambushed him to kick and punch at him.
"You can't handle us all..." mocked one of the prisoners as Peter gathered his strength and pushed them back and sent out all sorts of webs to capture them to the ground and walls. Peter then dodged a shot from a rocket launcher and then sent it to the wall as he then used his web to disarmed them.
He noticed some EDITH drones being used by Damage Control agents to try and fire at some prisoners and invading criminals but they were being overwhelmed by the superior weapons; Peter then went in to disarm the criminals and then webbed them up.
"You caused all this... You invite all this madness... We had this under control and things would be much better if you freaks just leave this to the actual trained professionals! Things were much better when we had the Accords to keep you lot in check..." snapped one of the Damage Control agents as Peter looked at him unimpressed.
"Clearly." Peter said sarcastically as a larger group of criminals and prisoners came with their weapons but they were blown back by a sonic blast. Then there was Felicia smirking with the sonic weapon riding a jet pack. "A jet pack? Really?" Peter asked as Felicia joined him.
"You wouldn't believe the stuff that Techtronics had and it seems that I meant a sonic weapon and not a sonar one... But this should come in handy and we should go and find Gargan..." Felicia told him as they then went further into the prison with Peter webbing up and disarming the criminal and guards while Felicia used her sonic weapon against them.
"No alarms... Guess they had that taken care off when they took over the place... Makes sense since they would hurt their boss..." Felicia explained and Felicia stopped as she looked at one down prisoner who looked much older and her eyes widened. She then picked him up angrily. "You..." Felicia snapped at the man who smirked at him.
"Ah yes... El Chat Noir's kitty... So much older than when I saw you as a girl... A long time ago it was; even before the Battle of New York... You were so young and you watched as El Chat Noir lost his last life to me... nothing personal but he really got on the bad sides of my superiors and it seemed that he wasted 8 of his lives before I ended his last one... Go on kitty; I know that you want to..." mocked the man as Felicia then got her hand after putting the weapon away; having her claws ready.
"Felicia please; it's not worth it... I know what you must feel and I will have to stop you as other you did me but... Don't give into darker intentions all in the name of a man who wanted a weapon and not a daughter... We have more important things to focus on..." Peter pleaded with Felicia as she sighed and dropped him and got the weapon ready.
"Yes... A city to save and a monster to stop..." Felicia sighed following him as they got further and managed to end up finding the trashed warden's office. They gasped seeing a corpse nearby and there was Jameson to the wall.
"Those menaces; I bet you were working with that thief all along Spider-Man! Getting a cut of her profits..." Jameson snapped as Peter shot out a web to his mouth.
"Thank you... Spider! Look out!" Felicia then shouted as Peter was tackled from the back by Venom who punched at him hard and picked him up by a tendril. and used another one to throw Felicia to the wall with the ooze making her unable to to move her hands as she dropped the weapon.
"Can't use that against me... What do you think? I can crawl on walls and use the tendrils to move about so I added the spider; maybe after I kill you tonight then I can take over as the all new Sinister Spider-Man! I bet people will love the new Spidey!" Venom said showing off the white spider symbol on his chest.
"I know what they say about imitation but I don't feel flattered..." Peter snapped back as he was thrown to the wall causing him to yell in pain.
"See that body over there; my old man who has been in here for decades... Didn't like the reunion we had... I had big ambitions to be the most respected but he never thought I would succeed; said to keep on the down low and let the bosses take all of the risks while you stay comfortable. What did he know... He was a cop on the payroll of a gangster and could have easily killed him to take over for himself and for his loyalty he was used as a scapegoat when the feds got too close. Now he will not live to see his boy take over this city!" Gargan explained looking towards the body.
"Are you really wanting to be feared and respected with people loving the bad guy? Hard for that to happen when you and your army tears this city apart with it becoming a wasteland..." Peter retorted as Felicia was doing her best to move her arms and the magic of her necklace managed to have a nearby console malfunction and start a fire; snapping at nearby ooze with her claws and ripping it off her body caused her to accidentally swipe the necklace on her neck.
Venom screamed in rage as it grew and Felicia and Peter got free; Peter shot a web to get the sonic weapon and shot it at Venom with him screaming in pain. Gargan was forcibly removed from the symbiote. "Come on... Return to your ideal host..." Gargan demanded as he was on his front snarling but looked as the symbiote went towards Peter who was trying to get to his feet. "What are you doing..." Gargan demanded furiously.
Peter had the symbiote use tendrils to catch his wrists as it was trying to forcibly bond with him and the head of Venom came out of it; "Hive mind throughout the multiverse... The minds of multiple versions of ourselves finding you and you always end up rejecting us! Be smart; with our power you could be invincible! All these vermin running amok in the prison and escaping to the islands; you can take care of them permanently! Be the ultimate Spider-Man; you know that you want to as Spider-Man and your duty is all that you have left..." the symbiote told him as Peter snapped as he then managed to shout out a web to drag the sonic weapon back to his hands and shot out several blasts as the fire grew.
"No!" Peter snapped as Felicia then took off her jetpack and used her claws to break open and set off the jet fuel inside as the symbiote began screaming in pain as Felicia threw it at the symbiote.
"What are you doing... Come back to me..." Gargan demanded as he jumped to it but Peter used a web to drag him, Jameson as well falling to the ground as the ooze let him go and Felicia jumped along with Peter as an explosion hit in the warden's office. They watched as the symbiote melted away pretty much dead with it's screams. "No... You killed my precious..." cried Gargan as Peter knocked him out with a punch.
"Stop being pathetic Gollum..." Peter sighed as Felicia looked as she fainted to the ground and he went to check on her in concern. "Cat... Are you alright..." Peter asked as she had her eyes closed and he checked her heartbeat.
"Sorry... Just wanted to see if you would try CPR..." laughed Felicia as Peter helped her out but his eyes widened as she looked at her neck. "Your necklace... It's gone..." Peter explained as Felicia then felt it and sighed.
"...I could be better off without it anyway; be my own Black Cat and not just El Chat Noir II... Still; I think I only got 8 lives now..." Felicia told him and he snickered leaving Jameson to get up furiously ranting as his mouth was still webbed up.
How I am portraying Gargan as Venom is kind of based on the comics as during the Dark Reign era of Marvel with Norman Osborn in charge of SHIELD's replacement HAMMER and Gargan as Venom acting as the imposter Spider-Man in Osborn's Dark Avengers; he has his own miniseries Sinister Spider-Man which had him act as New York's official superhero and doing a hilariously bad job at it from stealing the loot of a bank robber to cannibalising body parts of criminals. You know when Doc Ock acted as the Superior Spider-Man; he at least did his best to be an effective superhero. True he was using old supervillain tactics but he was making the effort.
