The rain pattered outside the window. Pucci and Dio looked to the door, taking a moment to realise what had happened.

"That was quite foolish of me." Pucci stepped out of Dio's arms. Blushing and unable to hide it. "I'll try to be more careful in future."

"What are you talking about? It's not foolish. If it were someone other than you then it would be." Dio left his arms open. Maybe wanting Pucci to return to them. Maybe wanting to hold the only two he'd ever cared for in a warm, protective embrace.

"I told him. About how I feel and how you feel."

Dio lowered his arms.

"I know my feelings won't be returned but know I'll always stay beside you. even if you find others you like more."

A silence. It hung in the air. Awkwardness? or fear?

"I. I only need you and Jojo. No one else could come close." Dio gently forced Pucci into a hug. "Don't best friends still hug?"

"I thought you knew, having so may growing up."

"I had none."

The rain broke the silence. Pucci returned the hug.

"Jojo wore the clothes I gave him."

"They suit him."

"I thought they would bring back old memories."

"Maybe those memories have been left behind?"

"Maybe. He left them behind. But it seems I cannot."

"How long are going to hug?"

"Till we get our fill."

"I could never have my fill."

Pucci sunk into Dio's arms, further and harder than before.

"You knew I felt for you in this way?" Pucci stuttered as he buried his face in Dio's chest.

"It's obvious."

"I'll be more careful with my feelings from now on."

"If you feel this way, so be it. It isn't hurting you, is it?"

Pucci looked up at Dio. "I guess I want what you and that-" Pucci gripped Dio's chest harder. Trying to conceal his anger at the thought. "-that walking corpse have!"

He collapsed back into Dio's chest stained with tears of anger.

"If he wasn't Jonathan, would you still love that thing?"

"It would never have been created, being its only purpose to give Jojo's head a home." Dio spoke in such neutral tones, yet melancholy filled his lungs.

"You're not mad at me? for acting this way?"

"no."

The rain breaking the silence once more. Dio stood silent as he let Pucci cry into his embrace.

Jonathan happily sprung down the hallway. a confidence in his actions that was so sure. He hadn't felt such a thing in a very long time.

Pet Shop was at the end of the hall. Preening as he sat on Horus. He looked up. Jojo cautious; began walking towards him. Secretly trying to find another hallway to go down.

He stopped. All eyes locked. Horus looked up at Jojo and gave a little wave. A cemented smile through his open mouth.

Jojo gave a little wave and a little smile. Pet shop nodded.

"So, Pet Shop, isn't it? Nice to actually get to meet you." Jojo bowed hesitantly.

Pet shop bowed his head in return. 'Seems this freak is well mannered. And respectful. If master likes him...' pet shop wondered as he and Jojo could only stare at each other.

"Have you seen Ice around here? I need to speak to him."

The bird pondered for a moment. 'If I take him to ice, he'll get... but that loony might.'

Pet shop screed as he flapped such majestic wings. He flew around Jojo and tugged his shirt.

"Ok, ok I'll follow."

But Pet Shop sat upon his shoulder and used his wings as arms to guide the way.

"I guess you didn't want to fly?"

A small nuzzle up to Jojo's chin. Jojo blushed a little.

"You're not as bad as you seem." a small tickle under Pet Shop's beak. he embraced it. "Just like Dio."

A distant blast. A 32-bit jingle. The bright TV light giving life to the next room down the hall.

Jojo and Pet Shop approached slowly as the noise and light feared and intrigued them.

And round the door was a man. Hunched over holding some sort of plate with buttons on it. He pressed them furiously as pictures on the box moved.

Jojo was entranced. He couldn't help but glare from the controller to the tv screen. Unknowing of what these things where.

Pet Shop was repulsed by such amusement. The sudden loud noises, the bright screen. Things that prevented birds from their beauty sleep.

And yet Jojo couldn't help but wander into the room, standing behind the man as the colourful pixel characters moved around the screen.

"Excuse me?" Jojo knelt down to tap the man on the shoulder.

"Excuse me?"

The man turned and grunted. "What?" He went back to his game, realising not who was kneeling behind him.

"I don't think we've met? What are you doing?"

"What does it look like? I'm trying to beat this level."

The man grunted more as he pressed the buttons frantically. His stand coming to help, but he refused such help. "I told you I need to do this on my own."

The health bar depleted and text displayed as he dropped the controller. 'You Loose: Retry? or Quit'.

"I hope interrupting me was worth..." The man turned to Jonathan. His anger dropped at a hat as he realised what he was looking at.

Pet Shop eagerly awaiting him to make a move. but the man was frozen. Then stunned. Then looked back to the screen. Then back at Jojo.

"What did you say your name was?" The man was unable to look at Jojo yet still encouraged him anyway. Those eyes from pet shop wouldn't stop glaring at him.

"My name is Jonathan Joestar, but please Jojo is fine. What's your name? Sorry for a poor introduction."

The man dared to look at Pet Shop again. But his glare was enough to know his intent.

The man cleared his throat, still refusing to look at Jonathan. "Terence D'Arby. I'm my master would have informed me of any uninvited guests." Disgust filled his voice, only coming as soon as it left after Pet Shop was right at his feet. Eyes piercing his soul.

"I though Dio would have told his friends about me? Maybe not. Doesn't matter anyway."

"You know him personally?"

"Long story short he brought me back to life because he missed me. I'm his brother." Jojo 's voice trailed off as the light from the hall landed directly over D'Arby's eyes. Staring up at him.

"Is that so?"

A sudden sharp spear of ice pressed against D'Arby's throat.

"I see."

"Pet Shop could you not threaten him?"

But bird shot Jojo a glance before returning to his soon to be victim.

"You're rather polite for brute looking creature."

Jojo hesitated to respond. "I know."

"I just wanted to know what you were doing with this thing?" Jojo picked up the controller. rather small for such 'brutish' hands.

"I'll tell you, only if you tell me what you know about Dio and your relationship with him. Will you?"

A slither into his mind.

"Ok."

"That's it? So willing?"

"You live with Dio so maybe it'd be fun for you to find out new things about him?"

But D'Arby now already knew something new. One quick glimpse into Jojo's mind; one thought. That D'Arby reminded Jojo of a younger Dio.
