Ben had turned 12, and his car was finished. Now he can finally go on jobs outside the village. Finally he can see the world and learn more about it. Wendy and the cats will also join the jobs, as they're a team. So he's not the only one who will learn about this world.
"So it's time for you to take jobs outside the village, huh?" Roubaul said.
"We have a deal gramps, don't try and stop me!" Ben hollered.
"I won't. But you know the rules right?" Roubaul asked him.
"Yeah you choose the jobs, one job a week and we start with the simplest job." Ben nodded in understanding.
"Good, and remember to always prioritize your safety over your job." Roubaul was happy to hear this.
"I know, that's the first thing I'll do." Ben agreed with him.
"Alright. Now for your job. It's to catch some bandits in Clover Town. They hide out in the mountain near the town, it's exact location is unknown. They're not mages, just ordinary people, so the job's class is low." Roubaul explained.
"But there could be a mage behind them, right?" Ben asked.
"Correct." Roubaul answered.
"Alright, so we need to track and catch them while being careful of any possibilities that they have mages among them, roger that." He remarked.
Ben took the job from Roubaul before leaving the guild hall. He prepared everything they needed and told Wendy to prepare too. After everything was prepared, they went to their new car.
Ben and the girls put their luggage in the trunk. They then get into the car and Ben inserted the key into the keyhole. He installed a key for safety, and he made it even safer by creating a password so the car would only be activated using his magic power, like a finger print or DNA lock.
VROOM VROOM
"You guys ready?" Ben asked.
"Yeah!" The girls exclaimed.
"Alright, let's go!" He yelled.
VROOOOM!
Team Ben left the village to complete their mission. They passed through the forest among the trees. Even with the uneven ground, the car could move smoothly and didn't jump around.
He raised the suspension because they're on the forest track, which is very uneven. The suspension was made using an air suspension mechanism and can be controlled by the driver. He also made sure the suspension was smooth, so bad roads wouldn't be a problem.
The girls were also enjoying the ride, and they were very excited. They passed by the uneven forest ground smoothly. It's a lot better than their original magic four wheel vehicle. That thing is very bumpy and needed to be driven slowly, unlike this one.
Ben followed the map and used his compass to navigate through the forest. After a half hour, they finally reached the road outside the forest. The road will take them to Clover Town a lot faster.
They followed the road, and Ben lowered the suspension. They passed by many horse carriages on the road, so they needed to drive slower. It's been a few months since Ben's car was invented, so the ones who have it are primarily rich people.
They reached Clover Town within 15 minutes and they immediately went to the mayor's residence. In the town, their car really attracted attention and they were attracted by the town. It was the first time they saw such a big town. They've only seen the village where they purchased milk every week.
"Let's walk around the town after the job is completed." Ben suggested.
"Can we?" Wendy asked.
"Why not? As long as we don't cause any trouble, a little exploration is fine. Or do you want to cause trouble?"
"No." The girls shook their heads.
"Then that's fine." Ben responded.
The girls were happy to explore this new place. But right now they needed to focus, so they went to the mayor's residence. They quickly arrived and saw the mayor's enormous mansion.
"Excuse me, do you have any business with the mayor?" A security guard asked the four.
"We're mages from the Cait Shelter guild. We came here because of the job the mayor posted regarding bandits."
Ben showed them his guild mark on his back forearm.
"Cait Shelter? Never heard of it." The security guard was confused.
"Well sorry about that, we're just a small guild after all." Ben was offended.
"A-ahaha, please come this way." The security guard laughed nervously.
The security guard led Ben to a spot where he can park his car. Then they went to the mayor's office which was located on the 2nd floor of the mansion.
"Cait Shelter?" The mayor asked.
"What? You've never heard of it either?" Ben was now pissed.
"Well, there are a lot of magic guilds in Fiore, and I can't remember them all. Can I see the job request?" The mayor asked for the letter.
Ben extended the letter out and the butler opened the letter before handing it to the mayor.
"Ah, so that's how it is. I understand now. Alright, I've confirmed your guild master's letter. Now I will tell you what the job's details are." The mayor told them.
The mayor then gave them the details of the job and information about the bandits. Their job was basically to search for the bandit's hideout and capture them. Killing them was prohibited, so they should primarily focus on capturing the bandits.
"They always operate on the highway that connects us to other towns in Fiore. However, their operation time is random and the last time they operated was last night." The mayor explained.
"Last night? Then we need to go now so we can track them before their trail disappears. Is there someone who knows the exact location of where they operated last night?" Ben asked.
"Yes, Franklin can show you the location." The mayor pointed at the security guard who escorted Team Ben to the office.
"Alright, we will go now." Ben said.
"I'll leave it to you." The mayor nodded.
Team Ben and Franklin left the room and headed to the location in the car.
"Master, do you think they can do it? They are just children." The mayor's butler asked him.
"Don't underestimate mages, Steve! Even a child mage is stronger than most adults. Furthermore, Master Makarov and Master Bob gave these kids their approval, especially that boy." The mayor shot back.
"MASTER MAKAROV AND BOB!" The butler exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah, so let's just wait and see what they can do!" The mayor yelled.

Team Ben and Franklin arrived at the area where the bandits operated last night. Ben and Wendy immediately searched for a trail on the road.
"Ben nii-san, I found a footprint." Wendy stated.
He went to check the footprint that Wendy found, it was a adult shoe footprint. They looked around the location and found a trail leading to the mountain.
"I think this is their trail. I don't think that any normal person would leave the highway and go towards the mountain." Ben noted.
Team Ben followed the trail with Franklin walking behind them. With Ben's experience in a special military unit, tracking is easy. They followed the trail and it led them to a cave in the mountain. In front of the cave's mouth, 2 people were guarding it.
"What should we do? There are 2 guards here." Wendy asked.
"Hmm. Bella, let's use distraction tactic 1." Ben instructed.
She nodded and went to another location. Bella then emerged from the bush and acted like a normal cat.
"Nyaa." Bella meowed.
"A cat?" Guard 1 asked.
"Hey, that cat's wearing clothes, so it must have an owner." Guard 2 noted.
"So what if it has an owner?" Guard 1 questioned.
"Stupid. That means we can ask for some money if we return the cat." Guard 2 pointed out.
"Really?" Guard 1 asked.
"Yeah, owners that usually lose their cats will post searching jobs for guilds, so if we return it, they will pay us. That means we can get some extra money even if it's not a whole lot." Guard 2 explained.
"Ooh, let me catch it." Guard 1 offered.
The guards then approach Bella and try to capture her. But when they got close to her, Ben suddenly appeared behind them. He grabbed their heads and slammed them into each other. The 2 guards fainted immediately after the impact. Ben's strength wasn't a joke for ordinary people.
"Stage 1 clear." Ben grinned.
