After dinner, Ben used A.I Chip to scan the spell books that he purchased. With more samples, it will be easier to create new spells. A.I Chip worked using data, so Ben had to collect it. With more data, A.I Chip can make better spells or improve his own spells.
"You're really my good luck charm, A.I Chip." Ben said.
[Glad you understand it.]
"You're a good luck charm, but you sure are irritating sometimes." He muttered.
[A.I Chip is a personalized computer system, so my personality is yours and made to be compatible with you. So the irritating side is learned from you.]
"...Let's just continue our work, shall we?" Ben insisted.
He was irritated, but at least he didn't have a boring robot assistant. He put the thought aside and continued scanning the spell books. He can't scan them all tonight, only 20. He needed to scan every page to get all the data, which would take time.
Ben continued scanning the book the next day. He also acquired Roubaul's spell collection that was gathered in a single book. Surprisingly, the book was the same size as a ordinary thick book, unlike the last one he gave to Ben.
"I thought it would be another thick one." He commented.
"Well, I don't have that many spells actually, because I was more focused on the knowledge of magic itself. Without a lot of spells to learn, I can improve my existing spells a lot." Roubaul confessed.
"That's alright. Your improvement method on spells are better than the spells themselves." Ben grinned.
"I know you will think like that." Roubaul smiled.
He took the book and left to continue scanning it. He finally finished scanning every book that evening, including the one from Roubaul. A.I Chip processed the data and stored it in it's database, but didn't transfer it to Ben's brain.
Ben realized that he doesn't need to take everything A.I Chip had. He just needed to know what was important, and let A.I Chip handle the details. He could always access the data from A.I Chip whenever he needed it.
"A.I Chip, try to formulate a defensive spell for AOE attacks." Ben said.
[Understood. Task time emulation: 12 hours.]
"Alright, let's check it out tomorrow." He suggested.
The next day...
Ben decided to check the list of spells that have been scanned by A.I Chip. He tried to find an interesting spell that he might want to learn. He scrolled through the spells and read their description.
"Hmm, transformation magic. It's a common magic, but it seems to be very useful and can help in a number of situations. There are 3 stages: basic, intermediate and advanced. Okay, let's learn it." He said.
Ben decided to learn transformation magic while he waited for A.I Chip to finish the new spell. Transformation magic will be useful in a number of situations, especially infiltration jobs. He can also use it to fool his enemy if necessary.
There was an even more advanced level of transformation magic, known as Take Over magic. However, Ben didn't plan on reaching that level. He planned to learn this magic up to the advanced level, but not Take Over.
Take Over required someone to understand the creature they want to transform into. It will also allow the caster to use that creature's magic. Normal advanced magic just changed the appearance and physical traits, not magical traits.
So Take Over magic was for those who wanted to specialize in transformation magic. However, Ben has his own magic, so he doesn't need magical creature's magic. What he really needed was the physical transformation for jobs.
"Bella, go play with Wendy and Carla, okay? I want to try out a new spell." Ben told her.
"Okay." She went to play with Wendy and Carla.
Ben read through the spell's information and it was pretty simple for a basic spell. He tried it out, but failed with his first attempt. He tried again and was finally successful with his 3rd attempt. He's still on the basic level, so it wasn't that hard and he understood it after 2 tries.
'Hmm, the basic level will just change my appearance, not clothes or voice. Intermediate can change clothes and voice. Advanced can change all physical traits to be the same as what I transform into.' He thought.
Ben currently transformed into Roubaul, but his clothes and voice didn't change. He then tried to transform into a bull, and the only thing that changed was his skin. He is not as big as a bull and he was still standing on 2 legs. He's basically part bull, with the size of a 12 year old.
"It's like wearing a bull skin in a game." Ben sweat dropped.
"Strange bull!" Bella exclaimed.
"You look like a monster." Carla pointed out.
"Hi hi hi hi." Wendy giggled.
"These naughty kids." Ben had a tick mark on his face, but he ignored them.
He kept using the transformation magic and tried to reach intermediate level. It's not as easy as the basic level, but it's not that hard either. Ben successfully reached the intermediate level after 20 tries, which wasn't bad.
He can now transform into Roubaul, complete with the clothes and voice. But when he transformed into a bull, he was still a humanoid bull. Although his body is big and he wasn't wearing clothes.
"It seems the intermediate level can't give me 4 legs like a bull, so it's a humanoid bull, but the size is that of a bull. Hmm, I look like a Minotaur now." Ben remarked.
Ben continued trying to master the spell and reach the advanced level, but it's not as easy from basic to intermediate. However, he's lucky that A.I Chip's able to scan it. A.I Chip scanned the transformation and identified the problem, making it easier to improve. After numerous attempts, Ben successfully turned into a bull.
"Ben bull!" Bella exclaimed.
"Amazing, you really look like a bull now." Wendy told him.
"Ooh, this is great but also uncomfortable. Humans are 2 legged creatures after all. I need to get used to this form." He noted.
Ben walked around on 4 legs to get used to the feeling. But suddenly, the 3 girls jumped on his back and rode the bull.
"BULL, GO!" The girls yelled.
"OI!" A tick mark formed on his face.
He was a little pissed, so he decided to prank them. He walked faster then ran wildly like a real bull.
"KYAA!" The girls screamed.
They held onto him tightly, so they won't fall off. Ben finally stopped after 5 minutes and the girls got down dizzily before falling on the grass.
"He he he, you shouldn't mess with a bull." He chuckled.
Ben had gotten used to being a 4 legged creature. Now he wants to try to become a flying creature. He transformed into a eagle, then tried to fly with his wings. However, it wasn't easy to fly even with wings. Ben kept trying to fly and was successful after 5 minutes.
"Hmm? It's easier than I thought. Once I get the hang of the feeling, flying is very easy." He remarked.
Ben flew around the training field for a few minutes. Down below the girls were looking at him and Bella joined him in the air. Wendy was jealous as Carla couldn't fly and accompany her. Carla wasn't strong enough to carry Wendy and fly right now.
"Do you want to fly too?" He asked, descending to the ground.
"N-no, I'm okay." Wendy tried to hide it, but she wasn't that good at lying.
"Then how about this?" Ben asked
His legs changed into those of a reptile's and his hands into bat-like wings. His neck was elongated, his body was covered in black scales and his blonde hair grew from his head to the back of his neck. He also grew a long tail and with a dragon-like head, he transformed into a black wyvern.
"I want to transform into a dragon, but that's too hard. The most I can do right now is this small wyvern. Turning into a dragon requires a lot of magic power after all." Ben noted.
He was small for a wyvern. His body length from head to tail was 3 meters. His wing span is also 3 meters. That's very small for a wyvern in the forest. They've seen a wyvern that was 10 meters long before, after all.
"It's okay, Ben nii-san. Even transforming into a wyvern on your first day is amazing." Wendy happily said.
"Climb on then! We'll fly around the forest." Ben told them.
"Okay." Wendy nodded.
She then climbed onto his back and the 2 cats also climbed onto his back.
"You guys too?" Ben asked.
"We don't have enough energy to fly around the forest by ourselves." Carla informed him.
"Tired!" Bella exclaimed.
"Okay, okay, just hold on tight so you don't fall off." Ben ordered.
He lifted off the ground and flew into the sky with his 3 passengers. He flew to the forest at a rather high altitude, so they can see the trees and animals below. Ben flew faster and the passengers became excited.
"Well, it seems the hard training with my magic paid off already." Ben smiled.
They flew around the forest for 2 hours before returning to the village. This was a really fun day.
