Ben successfully motivated the students to train and learn magic more seriously. His method was not the best for the kids, but it works, so it was fine.

After all that training, he allowed them to rest so they could regain their magic power for the next lesson. Wendy went with the students to play with them while they rested. Carla followed her while Bella stayed with Ben.

While they rested, Ben went to the headmaster's office to talk with the old man. He had another reason for this being a weekly job.

Knock knock* Ben knocked on the door of the headmaster's office.

"Come in!" The headmaster said.

Ben opened the door and walked into the office. He saw the headmaster and Raul inside. Ben knew Raul from the picture he saw when he took the job.

"You've done a great job, Ben. We've seen your training with the students just now." The headmaster said.

"Thanks. I taught them what I usually do when I train." Ben explained.

"Little Ben, I have a question for you." Raul stated.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Why did you teach them to use their magic right away rather than telling them the theories behind it? If they don't learn it, they won't understand the principle behind their magic." Raul answered.

"Do you seriously expect them to understand some difficult words that we read from a book?" Ben questioned incredulously.

"No." Bella remarked.

"That's your answer." He replied.

"Eh?" Raul blinked.

"These kids aren't the best when it comes to using their brain. But they aren't stupid, they just need a different method to learn. They learn by doing and watching, not by hearing or reading difficult theories." Ben commented.

"But magic is usually learned from books or notes, so won't they need to be taught with that too?" Raul asked.

"Book, boring, difficult." Bella had a displeased expression on her face.

"You're right, but not at the moment, maybe in the future though. They're still learning the basics now, so there's no need to make them do something that they aren't capable of. They won't stay this way forever, and as a teacher, your priority is to make them understand. What's the point of having a teacher if they can't understand anything?" Ben pointed out.

"Useless teacher." Bella muttered.

"!?" Raul started to have a realization.

"A teacher's job is to help their students learn something they can't learn, not something they can. If they can't understand theories, then it's your job to make them understand. But rather than keep trying to put those theories into their heads by talking, show them how to do it!" Ben hollered.

"But other teachers do it like that and it works for their students. Is it really impossible to use it on these students?" Raul asked with some uncertainty.

"Just because it works on others, doesn't mean it will work on them. A teacher shouldn't stick to just one method, you need to rely on different methods. Every student is unique and you need to know how to teach them properly based on that." Ben advised.

"Hmm, different methods, huh?" Raul pondered what he was hearing.

"Just like how useless it is to teach math to an artist because they don't really need it and are not interested in it, there's no teaching theories to these students that don't like to hear theories. Children their age like to play, so you need to make it fun for them." Ben told him.

"So I need to show them magic is fun and make them motivated to learn it, huh?" Raul questioned.

"Yeah, basically you need to show them that magic is not difficult to learn. But they also need to know that they need to work hard to reach a high level with it." Ben responded.

"Hmm, I will look into it deeper. Thank you, little Ben. Headmaster, I will take my leave to learn about this more thoroughly." Raul mused.

"Alright, I expect great results from you, Mr. Raul." The headmaster said.

"Yes." Raul nodded.

He left the headmaster's office while thinking about how he needs to change his teaching method.

"That guy isn't so bad." Ben noted.

"Yes, he is passionate, but he is too stiff and strict. As you just said, he is relying too much on theories. Well, he is new and has only been teaching for 1 year with easier students, so he lacks experience with students like these." The headmaster explained.

"Then why don't you ask other teachers to teach these kids?" Ben questioned out loud.

"Other teachers don't want to do it and they might do worse than him. Mr. Raul really wants to teach those kids because he believes in their potential. But he doesn't know how to do it." The headmaster added.

"Those teachers want to stay in their comfort zone, huh?" Ben noted.

"You're right. Anyway, what made you come to my office, Ben?" The headmaster asked him.

"Ah, that's right, Headmaster. I want to gain access to your school's library." Ben answered.

"Library? Alright, you're also a teacher here so I will allow it. I'll also give you full access as thanks for helping Raul and those kids. This is my biggest problem right now, after all." The headmaster commented.

"Ooh, thanks then." Ben was grateful.

That's right. The other reason he took this job was to have access to the library. He needed more knowledge about magic and a magic school's library was the best way for him to obtain it.

Even though a magic school like this doesn't have rare magic like guilds, their collections are vast. Magic Schools are made for children to learn magic, so their magic collections are usually just beginner magic spell theories.

However, teachers have access to more knowledge and higher-grade spells. Every school wants their teachers to be competent after all.

Furthermore, Magic Schools are owned by the Kingdom. So their collection of magic books is vast. Even if all these collections aren't something like Lost Magic or ancient spells, there's still some high quality magic knowledge.

Ben returned to the class after getting permission from the headmaster. In the class, the kids were resting while talking to each other about their previous training. He smiled hearing them evaluate their own mistakes and trying to find solutions for them.

"Good, they're not wasting their time. Instead they're using to learn from their mistakes. Your last mistake is your best teacher after all." He pointed out.

Ben entered the classroom and the students immediately stood up and saluted him.

"WELCOME, COMMANDER!" The students shout.

"Yes, good job." Bella returned the salute.

"It's not for you, Bella." Carla told her.

"Bella is commander." She insisted.

"Whatever." Carla sighed.

Ben ignored the cats and took a seat in the teacher's chair.

"You can ask anything before we start the next lesson, starting with Ron." He told the class.

After Ben said that, the class began to ask him about the problem's they've uncovered. They've already asked Wendy, but she could only answer a few questions.

Ben easily answered all of their questions because they were rather simple. He answered their questions for a half hour before beginning the next lesson.

"Alright, now I'll teach you how to raise your magic power capacity. You can train it while training your control, so it can save you time and make your progress faster." He told the class.

Ben taught them how to raise their magic power capacity, which is just to keep using their magic until their magic power was depleted.

"So we need to use magic every day to learn the control and raise our capacity?" Cya asked.

"That's correct. It will also raise your magic mastery and make your spells stronger. Basically, if you want your magic to be stronger, you need to keep using it for training. So this will be your daily task for now on." Ben instructed them.

After that, he took them to the training area again and taught them hand to hand combat. They can train their magic at home by themselves. He'll just teach them something that they can only learn in school and need his guidance. That's how he thinks a school should be.
