"Did you figure out who our guest is?" Angel said as Cordelia came downstairs, "What kind of trouble she's in?"
"Nope and nope," Cordelia said, "She's determined not to talk, but I'm sure I can crack her. Maybe I can convince her to let me do her nails, have a little wine if she's old enough to drink. Maybe some girl talk will help her."
"She doesn't strike me as the girl talk kind of girl," Angel said, "Do you have any idea how many weapons she had stashed in her jacket and holsters."
"That's just the ones we could find," Wesley said, "Knives, a lock pick kit…"
"Three guns, extra ammo," Angel said, "Pepper spray."
"If you had a goon squad after you," Cordelia replied, "You'd carry a lot of weapons."
"She's a good shot," Angel said.
"Who's a good shot?" Gunn asked joining the conversation.
"Girl that Angel rescued last night," Wesley said, "From vampires."
"After she took out a half dozen humans trying to kidnap her," Angel said.
"We're trying to figure out what her story is," Wesley said, "There's not a single police report or news article about a group of men found dead this morning. We've gotten nothing from her other than an arsenal of weapons, fake ids, and an engagement ring on a necklace. She's not cooperating."
"She has jewelry," Cordelia replied, "Why did no one think to tell me this? Did it have any markings or engravings?"
"We were a little busy making sure she wasn't in danger of bleeding to death, Cordy," Angel said, "Trying to keep her awake in case she had a concussion."
"There were no identifiable markings on the jewelry," Wesley said, "Although the setting was unique. We might be able to trace who she is or her family with it, but…"
"It could also attract the attention of whoever's after her," Gunn said, "Let me see if I can charm some answers out of her."
"No," Angel and Cordy said at the same time, startling Gunn.
"What Angel and Cordy mean is our guest is skittish," Wesley said, "And seems put off by the presence of males possibly because of her ordeal last night or what someone did to her in the past."
"Tried calling Lorne?" Gunn said, "Maybe he can get a read on the girl."
"If we can get her to sing," Angel said, "Somehow I wouldn't bet on it."
"All we can do is try," Cordelia said, "And Gunn, our guest thinks she hallucinated the vampires and we're not correcting that theory until we know more."
"What's she going to think about Lorne?" Gunn asked.
