The day after the robbers were taken away by the Magic Council, Ben headed to Oshibana Town. He wanted to know more about the race. He needed to know what kind of race it was. Was it a road race, rally or drag race?

Ben took Wendy and the cats with him like he normally did. They would have a little holiday now since it was a Sunday while Ben gathered information.

In Oshibana, they searched for information first before walking around. It was better for them to finish their business before playing around.

Ben headed to Joseph's merchant company. He was the client who changed the package delivery job to a human delivery job when his son was about to get married.

His son, Arthur got married shortly after that job. Ben and co were invited, but they didn't attend because the wedding took place around the same time they started the teaching job at the magic school.

Team Ben then entered the building and met up with Joseph. He looks calmer and more relaxed then when they met him before Arthur's marriage. It's like a lot of weight was lifted from his shoulders.

"Oh, it's you guys. It's been a long time." Joseph greeted the four.

"Yeah, it has been. You look a lot better than last time, old man." Ben smirked.

"You're right. Many problems were solved after that, so my stress level has gone down. I can enjoy my life a lot more without too many worries." Joseph said.

"That's good then. Hmm? What happened to the other guard?" Ben asked after realizing there was only 1 guard present.

"He was the spy sent by my brother. He disappeared after my brother's arrest, and we later discovered he sided with my brother. He now has a 100,000 jewel bounty on his head." Joseph sighed.

"100,000? Is he that weak?" Ben asked nonchalantly.

Joseph and the sole remaining bodyguard have dark expressions on their faces. Sure that mage wasn't strong among other mages, but he wasn't that weak. However, only having a 100,000 jewel bounty meant he was weak in Ben's eyes.

"Anyway, let's stop talking about that. I've come here for another reason. Do you have any information on the race being held in the capital?" Ben asked.

"Race, huh? A magic guild should know more about that then a merchant like me. Why don't you ask your guild master?" Joseph suggested.

"If that old man knew, I wouldn't have come here to ask you. We're a small guild located deep in the forest, so news doesn't reach us most of the time." Ben informed him.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. Well, I know a little. I have a connection with the Kingdom, so I have some information." Joseph stated.

He then went on to explain that the race won't be held on the circuit. It has a route going through the forest, desert, road, mountain or any place that the Kingdom chose. It's never held on a circuit because they don't have one.

Surprisingly, the race wasn't limited to four wheel magic vehicles. It allows 2 wheels, 3 wheels, or other types of magic vehicles. There was no size rule either, so they can use small or big vehicles.

Ben knew the reason was because they still allowed the old model of vehicle as a standard. The old magic vehicle's speed was decided by a mage's magic power. So if a mage has low magic power, their cars can't go faster.

Ben grinned as he knew this. His magic card had a high capacity lacrima, and it had a very efficient energy usage. His car can get 10 times the speed and distance with the same amount of energy used by the old model.

As for speed, he wasn't too worried. His car has high performance and it's top speed was 373 MPH. He tested it in a wide, empty area after all. It's a lot faster than the fastest car on Earth.

That speed was possible even though his car's basic weight was a lot heavier than something like a Bugatti Chiron, because of the fuel and magic. Ethernano is a lot more effective and efficient to be used as fuel.

He also uses magic to control some important aspects like it's aerodynamics, down force, etc. He also added some magic that will allow his car to go faster with Roubaul's help. Normal car logic doesn't apply to a magic car after all.

His car was also ready to be used on any track. So it seems he doesn't need to prepare a whole lot before the race. He just needed to do some normal maintenance to get his car in perfect condition.

Joseph then explained that in order to participate, Ben needed to register a week in advance before the race. He didn't need to pay because the Kingdom made it free for the competitors. It is free so many mages can participate and make the race merrier.

Ben was a lot happier now that he could register for free. Even if he had a lot of money now, he still liked free things. His poor soul just can't leave even when he's rich.

After Joseph gave him the date for registration and the race, Ben and the girls exit the building. Preparing for the race didn't seem to be a problem for him. He just needed to train before the day of the race.

He never raced before, so this was a new experience for him. Even if he knew his car would be faster than the other cars, they had more experience.

In a race, the vehicle's speed wasn't the only thing that was important. Racers needed to have skill. Even if he had a very fast car, it wouldn't matter if he couldn't control it well, then he wouldn't be able to win against more experienced racers.

Ben shook the thought out of his head and focused on his task. It was to accompany the girls walking around the town and buy a lot of things.

Ben and the girls walk around the town and visit a lot of places. They went to a small park and a zoo, bought things from shops and finally, went to a public pool. They have a lake in the village, but this pool had some attractions that prompted the children to visit it.

'Maybe we need to build a play place on the lake like a slide or paddle boats. Hmm, I'll ask Gramps to consider making this kind of stuff. The guys in the village have a lot of free time. So it was better for them to do this.' Ben thought.

Ben and the girls enjoy the pool and play until 4pm. Then they return to the village and the girls fell asleep in the car. They were exhausted after playing most of the day and having fun.

Ben smiled and drove slowly to avoid waking them up. This was a really good day for them. He decided to do this more often when they had the time.
