Several blocks away, Kellie made her way down the streets. She was almost to the bus station when she saw Ethan talking to the local cops.
Kellie quickly turned around and ducked down an alley way, making it to another street. She stayed on alert for any tails or indications Ethan had noticed her.
Seeing a band loading and unloading behind a club, she ran and hid behind the van to catch her breath.
"Are you okay, miss?" Oz asked when he and other band members came out to get more equipment.
Kellie held her hand up as if to tell Oz to wait and looked down the alley, seeing Ethan and some of his men. Oz tracked Kellie's gaze and noted her distress.
"Is that guy bothering you?" Oz blocking Kellie from anyone else's view. Kellie jerked back from Oz.
"You're with band for tonight," Oz said, "Let's get you inside."
Kellie looked suspiciously at Oz.
"Crowded club with lot of people," Oz said, "I doubt he'll will try anything."
Kellie looked down the alley, at Oz, and at the club. Then nodded at Oz.
"Try anything, I will hurt you," Kellie whispered.
"She speaks," Oz said, ushering Kellie inside the club.
Backstage, Oz asked, "Is there anybody I can call for you?"
Kellie shook her head, muttering, "I just need out of town and for that jerk to die."
Oz pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number, "Hi Cordy, I've got a new friend that needs some help. Can you come down to the club? Maybe bring her a change of clothes and a wig."
Kellie groaned, "This Cordy, doesn't happen to work for some guy named Angel."
Oz nodded, "Cordy, have you or Angel ever made the acquaintance of a female in jeans and a leather jacket with.."
"With an unholy number of weapons," Cordelia finished.
"I was going to say running from some stuffed suit," Oz said, "I can't speak for the weapons, though she did threaten me."
"That sounds like Kellie," Cordelia said, "Angel and Lorne are out looking for her. I'll let them know, so they can pick her up. Is her psycho stalker hanging around?"
"Possibly," Oz said, "It looks like he lost her when she disappeared in the alley behind the club where I found her."
"One less thing to worry about," Cordelia said, "And one more thing, she doesn't know what Angel is or about anything about vampires, werewolves, etc. Her whole problem is strictly human. And tell her…."
Oz shrugged it off, "Noted."
Then he hung up before Cordelia could continue.
"Cordy is sending Angel and Lorne to come get you," Oz said.
Kellie buried her head in her hands and groaned again.
Oz went to work helping the band set up the stage. Eventually, Oz went back to the alley and came back with Angel and Lorne.
Kellie glared at Angel who handed her a thumb drive.
"What's this?" Kellie asked.
"I asked a friend to work her computer magic to see what she could find on this Ethan creep," Angel said, "She found information that should help you do exactly what you've been wanting to do, get him indicted and hopefully convicted on federal charges."
"It's not exactly usable for law enforcement," Lorne said.
"Not yet," Kellie said, "But if this checks out, I can work with it."
"How's Willow?" Oz asked.
"Good, it seems like," Angel said.
Kellie looked at Oz and Angel confused.
"Willow's the computer expert," Angel replied, "And Oz's ex."
"So where to next, Nightingale?" Lorne asked, "Bus station, airport?"
"I tried the bus station already," Kellie said, "That's where I saw Ethan and he was I'm assuming asking the cops in the area about me. I can't exactly afford airfare right now."
Cordelia came running in from the front of the club, "We have a problem. Psycho stalker walked in the front."
"We'll get the crowd going," Oz said, nodding towards the stage.
"We'll get Kellie out the back," Angel said.
"If that's what she wants," Lorne said.
"I'm sorry and thank you," Kellie said, "All of you."
"We have two more shows and then the band is headed to the east coast," Oz said, "We could drop you off wherever you want along the way. You could avoid bus stations and airports."
"I just need out of here, not sure where yet," Kellie said.
"Swing by the hotel after the show," Angel said, "We'll discuss it. That should give Kellie here a chance to verify the information we have."
"Move, outside, now," Cordelia said, grabbing Kellie to go out the back door.
Angel and Lorne followed them out as Oz and the rest of Dingos Ate My Baby took the stage. Meanwhile, Ethan looked for Kellie with no success as the crowd danced.
