A while back, the gang met a rock band named Blight. Blight has become a real hit that they even have their own tour bus. At the moment, they were traveling through the state of West Virginia at night. Until they arrived at their next concert, the four of them were just chilling.

"Sure looks like an eerie night." White Flash said.

"What's the matter? Scared?" Wind Tiger teased as he tapped his drumsticks near them with White Flash just brushing him off.

"Take it easy. We should be at our next gig soon." Dragon Flame said. "Hey, driver! Any idea how much longer?!" He called to their red bearded driver.

"It might still take a while until we..." Suddenly, they all heard something above their bus. It sounded like something landed on it and was making it's way to the driver. Just then, a creature with glowing red eyes pressed itself against the windshield. It was actually the creature well-known in this part known as...Mothman. It gave the driver a good scare as he lost control of the bus and steered right into a crash.

...

The Gang

"It's going to be great to see Blight again." Erza said as the gang was passing through as well. They became good friends with the Blight from the last time they saw each other.

"I wouldn't know if it's "great" exactly." Natsu said. "They've got good music, but..."

"Don't tell me you're still jealous of Dragon Flame." Lucy said. He tried to deny it, but it seemed like Natsu was. Happy was even offering Natsu a PBJ sandwich.

"If this is your way of saying I'm jealous, I'm not!" Natsu claimed.

"Hey! Hold on! That looks bad!" Gray said as they all looked to see a bus crashed and pulled over. "Come on! We better see if anyone is hurt!" All of them hurried out and made it to the bus with Lucy taking a look as to whose bus it was.

"I don't believe it!" Lucy said. Then, they heard the door opening up and saw Dragon Fire climb out.

"Ooh... I think even my wig is hurting." Dragon Fire claimed.

"It is Blight!" Lucy said with Dragon Fire noticing the gang.

"It's you guys!" Dragon Fire said as he was happy to see them again. They all climbed out of the bus and regrouped with the gang to see how the other was doing.

"It's great to see you guys again. We're lucky it was you coming by." Blue Thunder said.

"What a coincidence. We were actually on our way to see your concert." Erza said.

"What happened to your tour bus?" Gray asked.

"You won't believe it, or you might considering what you guys do." Wind Tiger claimed. "We were on our way to our concert when our bus was actually attacked by...Mothman himself!"

"Who?" Natsu questioned.

"I've heard about him. He's known around these parts." Lucy said. "Mothman is a myth, an enigma, that usually brings some form of disaster. He's been described to have glowing red eyes with a humanoid physique. Still, Mothman is just a myth."

"I wouldn't have believed it myself, but we saw the big freak pressing itself against our bus just before we crashed." Blue Thunder claimed.

"Bad news, guys." Their bus driver said. "The bus appears to be in bad shape. It might be a while before help can arrive and help with it."

"Now what are we going to do?" White Flash questioned.

"I think there's a small town not that far from here. Maybe we can find someone there to help, and maybe get answers to this Mothman." Gray said. "You guys can even come with if you want."

"Thanks, but what about our gear?" Wind Tiger said as they do have some instruments and such to move. It ended up being a pretty tight fit into the Myster-V.

...

The Town

The gang and the band were able to make their way to the town that Gray mentioned. Only, the town was a little less than what they expected it to be.

"Small town? It's a ghost town. There's no one here!" Blue Thunder said as the town was completely deserted. There didn't appear to be anyone around. "Now what are we going to do?"

"Maybe it's not completely deserted." Lucy said as she pointed a diner that had working lights. "Someone must be running that diner. Let's check it out. Maybe we can at least find some food in there." All of them went on inside and had a look at the diner. It seemed like a decent place and there was some good food for them to have.

"Great idea, Lucy." Dragon Fire said as they all helped themselves to what they could. "I just hope the employees don't mind."

"I'm sure they wouldn't if they knew our situation." Lucy said. Those always seem to be good together, but Natsu didn't like it.

"I just got off the phone with our manager and told him what happened." White Flash said. "He said it doesn't look good as Gus Garret hasn't arrived yet."

"Who?" Erza said.

"Just another wannabe." Blue Thunder said as he showed a photo of the guy with a white and purple sports jacket and blonde hair. "He's our opening act, but he's not all that." As they were trying to make the most of their situation, Gray thought something was off.

"Something wrong, Gray?" Wind Tiger asked.

"This is weird. How is it this place seems opened with all this food when there's no one here?" Gray said. "It's almost like..." It was like a setup as that's just what it was. They all heard a smashing sound and saw a window smashed open.

"It's him!" Dragon Fire said as they all looked and saw that it was actually Mothman trying to get in the diner. This didn't look good, but Erza acted fast as she took a can and sprayed something against the monster and got it to freak and back away from them.

"Everyone out through the back!" Wind Tiger called as they all hurried out of the diner and tried getting as far from the diner as they could.

"Quick thinking, Erza. What was that? Bug spray?" Gray asked.

"Hair spray, but it does make good bug repellant." Erza said.

"You're actually the type that carries that around?" Gray questioned.

"I don't want any harm to my hair. It takes a lot of work to take care of." Erza said. They all kept running until they were far enough from the diner and lost the creature.

"Even though I'm sure there's a good explanation, that was really freaky." Lucy said. "Where did that thing even come from?"

"I think we were setup. It's weird how that diner seemed opened when the rest of this place is deserted." Gray said.

"But who would do something like that?" Erza questioned.

"That's what we need to find out. I think we should split-up and try to find who else is around here." Gray said. "The girls and I will take the east side. Natsu, you and Happy check the west side."

"Hey. What about us? We can't go anywhere until the bus is fixed. We might even be able to help, and it could be fun." Dragon Fire said.

"I guess we could use the help." Gray agreed. "Sure. Dragon Fire and Blue Thunder can come with us. White Flash and Wind Tiger can go with Natsu and Happy."

"Wait. You want Dragon Fire to go with my girlfriend?" Natsu said as he didn't like that idea.

"What? Are we not good enough for you?" Wind Tiger said as he and White Flash got their arms around Natsu.

"Come on. It will be fun." White Flash said as the two of them practically dragged Natsu away. He was not looking forward to this.

...

Energize Labs

"Energize Labs? A lab all the way out here?" Lucy said as she and the others found a lab out in the middle of nowhere. "It certainly doesn't look abandoned."

"Let's check it out." Gray said as they all went on inside to have a look around. They all went in and it seems like someone did work there, but they couldn't find anyone around.

"Someone has to be here. I'm getting this...odd feeling." Erza said as she could just feel that there was something wasn't right.

"Erza!" She recognized that voice as it sent shivers down her spine. All of them looked to the entrance and they almost couldn't believe who it was.

"Gabe Logger?!" Erza said. "What are you doing here?! I thought you were locked away after what happened the last time we saw you.

"Technically, I didn't do anything illegal. It was just an experiment gone wrong." Gabe said. "Of course, I can't work for the Navy anymore, but I did work on this place. Now, what are you doing here? Did you miss me?" He said as he tried flirting, but Erza was getting quite uncomfortable.

"We're trying to solve a mystery." Dragon Fire said. "We were just looking around when we saw this was the only place around that appeared to be open."

"You know, I might show you what's going on here for a fair trade. Say like...your phone number, Erza." Gabe said.

"You know this weirdo?" Blue Thunder asked.

"We ran into him in a previous mystery. He's an old friend of Erza's." Gray said.

"Barely." Erza said.

"Erza, maybe you could put on some charm to see what Gabe knows about Mothman." Lucy said. Charm Gabe to see if he has anything to do with Mothman? Could Erza actually do that?

"Nope. Not happening. I rather take my chances with it being a real monster." Erza said as she didn't want to add fuel to that fire.

...

Natsu's Group

Natsu, Happy, Wind Tiger, and White Flash had a look around the town to see if they could find anyone around, but there didn't appear to a soul.

"This place is emptier than my stomach after skipping lunch. There's no one around." Natsu said. "Maybe we should go back and make sure Dragon Fire isn't hitting on my girlfriend."

"Dude, relax." White Flash said. "Yes, Dragon Fire does seem to be a little interested in her, but he's not going to cross any lines. It's all perfectly harmless and he's being respectable."

"So he does want her!" Natsu claimed. This might be a long day with Natsu with Happy trying to there-there him.

"You need to chill more." Wind Tiger said as he used a pair of binoculars and had a look around.

"Where did you get those?" Natsu questioned.

"Brought them with me. I actually enjoy a good bird watching." Wind Tiger said. Redundant since he's named after a cat. He looked around through the place until he could see their tour bus. "Hey! There's a clear open space through the trees that allows me to see our bus. That's weird... It's still there. Shouldn't there be a tow truck or something?"

"What about our driver?" White Flash asked.

"Not there. Where'd he go?" Wind Tiger questioned.

"We could ask him!" Natsu said as he pointed up a building and they saw Mothman came back. Mothman flew straight down at them. All of them ducked down with Mothman landing near them. White Flash acted quickly as he grabbed a trash can and threw it right at Mothman. It smashed against him and allowed all of them to run.

...

Gray's Group

"You really think Gabe has something to do with Mothman?" Lucy questioned as the others walked through town.

"Well, it was his fault when we dealt with the haunted ocean." Erza said.

"Haunted Ocean?" Dragon Fire said.

"Does this sort of thing happen to you guys a lot?" Blue Thunder questioned.

"More often than you might think." Gray said.

"Guys!" All of them looked and saw Natsu and his group running towards them. "We saw him again! Mothman came at us and attacked us again."

"He did?" Erza questioned as she thought it over. "We didn't leave that Gabe that long ago. There goes my theory that he could be the monster."

"Gabe? As in that nerdy guy we met on that Navy ship? He's here?" Natsu said with Erza confirming he was.

"And so is he!" Blue Thunder said as he pointed up at a building and they could see Mothman coming at them again. Mothman jumped off the building and glided down with its wings flapping. All of them ran for it as Mothman flew after them. The gang and the band kept running and ended up going in different directions on the road, but Mothman landed on the ground and chased after Blight.

"Look! Mothman is going after the band!" Lucy said.

"Come on!" Gray said as they hurried to help them. Blight kept running from the monster with it chasing after them. They needed to think of something fast.

"Anyone got any ideas?!" Wind Tiger said. Dragon Fire looked around and spotted a building that looked to be in a bad shape.

"Let's literally bring down the house on this guy!" Dragon Fire said as he pointed to the building. The four of them ran into the building with Mothman running after them. When he was inside, the band each smashed against a support beam and caused it to break apart with the whole place coming down. When Mothman saw that, he hurried out of there in the opposite direction as the band managed to get out.

"Guys!" Gray called as the gang managed to catch him. "You all okay."

"Yeah. We managed to give bug face the slip." Wind Tiger said.

"And we gave a new rock style to bringing the house down." White Flash joked.

"But the bug crawled away again." Blue Thunder said.

"That was a little weird." Lucy said. "Why did Mothman run after the band instead of flying?"

"But didn't he fly earlier?" Dragon Fire questioned.

"More like gliding until he landed on the ground." Lucy said. "On top of that, it looks like this moth is only after the band. Why would he only go after you guys?"

"I think it's time we catch that bug." Gray said. "I've got an idea that will help us do that."

...

Later

In order for Gray's plan to work, they needed the band's equipment. The band was set in the middle of the road and looked like they were about to perform.

"Since Mothman is after the band, you guys play your music to lure him in." Gray said. "Once Mothman shows up, we throw the net on him and we've got ourselves a moth."

"No way! We don't want to be live bait!" Wind Tiger said.

"Come on, guys. It makes sense since we're the ones this thing is after." Dragon Fire said.

"You're crazy." Blue Thunder said.

"Uh... Would you guys do it for fishy treats?" Lucy offered, but they all thought she was crazy now for offering them cat food.

"I say we do it. Otherwise, this thing is just going to keep hunting us." Dragon Fire said. The rest of the band went for it as they started playing their music. They were going to perform like usual, but that didn't happen as Mothman showed up and smashed through the amps.

"Now!" Gray said as the gang threw the net right at Mothman, but Mothman grabbed one of the amps and used it like a shield from the net.

"What's Plan B?" Lucy questioned.

"The old fashion one: run!" Gray said as they all ran from the Mothman, but he was going after all of them now.

...

Chase Scene

Natsu and Happy ran into the diner for cover. They dived behind the counter when Mothman came running in. Just as he did, the two of them shook pepper on him. Mothman had a big sneeze that actually blew him away.

Blight tried running from Mothman as they ran through the woods. Mothman glide around from one tree to the next. When Blue Thunder saw him coming, he took a rock and threw it right at Mothman. It hit and knocked him right out of the tree.

Erza and Lucy ran into an old hair salon. When Mothman came running in, they both acted like they worked there as they took him by the arms and placed him in a chair. They actually applied some make-up to Mothman before he got up and ran off.

Gray tried running into a hardware store with Mothman chasing after him. As he was, Gray pushed a shelf down and squashed him like a bug before running out.

Natsu and Happy tried sneaking out of the diner, but Mothman came back for them. As he tried attacking them, they both squirted whip cream in his face before taking off and Mothman chased after them.

Natsu and Happy ran into a power plant, but that power plant surprisingly still had some power to it. They ran through one part of the plant, but Mothman ended up getting shocked for some reason. All of them regathered as they saw Mothman get electrocuted with the back blowing up and he was knocked down to the ground.

...

"Look! His wings are a motor! That's why he couldn't just fly after us!" Gray said as they could all see the motor underneath the costume.

"Let's see who this really is." Lucy said as he reached down for the mask and pulled it right off.

"Our bus driver?!" The band said with shock.

"Not exactly." Lucy said as she could see the beard hanging on one side. She reached down and pulled off a beard and a wig to show his real face.

"Gus Garret?!" All of them said. This is a celebrity story that is sure to be interesting.

...

The Town

After unmasking Mothman, they got Gabe to be a part of this as well because Gabe actually did have a part in this scheme.

"Gus took on the position of your bus driver because he wanted to make sure you guys missed your concert." Lucy said. "Gus didn't want to be the opening act, he wanted to be the main attraction. He took on the disguise as Mothman to help make it happen, and he had this motor built by Gabe at the lab to help. It was designed to give the illusion that the Mothman could fly when he was really just gliding around."

"But he was on the bus with us when Mothman first attacked." Dragon Fire pointed out.

"That's because it was Gabe in the costume that time." Erza said.

"But he didn't expect us to come by to help you guys out." Gray said.

"So he put on the costume himself to try and keep Blight from getting to the concert." Natsu said.

"And if weren't for you meddling fans of these punk posers, I would be the one in the spotlight." Gus said.

"Punk posers?! We're the real deal compared to you." Blue Thunder said as he wanted to throttle him, but Dragon Fire stopped him from doing anything.

"Well, Gus is going to have his name known...as another celeb that got arrested." Gray claimed.

"Gabe, didn't you learn your lesson after last time?" Erza said.

"A celebrity asked for my help. Isn't it cool that he did, Erza?" Gabe said in another desperate attempt to impress her, but Erza was not.

"Well, I still win. You guys won't make it. You're bus is totaled." Gus said.

"Actullaly, there is still one way. It's just going to be a tight fit." Dragon Fire said as he might have an idea.

...

The Concert

Blight was able to make it to to the concert after all for they arrived in a style no other rock band has. They came up to the red carpet in the Myster-V. They arrived and walked right out of the van with many people getting tons of photos.

"Hey! Over here, Blight!" A photographer called.

"Only if you get the best mystery solving gang, who are equally great friends, in with us." Dragon Fire said as they all gathered together for a photo. There are benefits to being friends with a band and being friends with one of the best mystery solvers there is.
