"Uuuungh…"
"Really? I thought for sure a Megalixer would work." Sora rubbed his head, grimacing after Chiaki puked in a bucket.
"How often do you drink anyway?" Strange asked as he had come over to check on her.
"Uuungh, not very often… usually when I go on dates with Hajime, I usually just have one glass of wine and call it good…" Chiaki mumbled. "Not always wine, sometimes it's water or soda…"
"It's true." Hajime nodded. "She mixes it up all the time."
"Mhm… and how many glasses of sake did you have?"
"Oh… how many did I have… two?"
"Two and a half. You ordered the third one, but I stopped you midway before it got really out of hand." Hajime pointed out.
"Yet you lost track of your girlfriend and she drunkenly got a tattoo on her upper back." Mythra pointed out, while Pyra fed Yusuke some of her food to get him back to speed.
"She's not wrong." Kairi said as Yusuke slowly rose.
"I've been revived by the miracle of life! Thank you very much, Pyra."
Pyra sweatdropped. "Miracle of life…?"
"Guess I really wanted to drink my sorrows out…" Chiaki mumbled. "Ugh, I want to drop this whole Twilight Chiaki thing but I can't get her out of my head, even when hung over…"
"I guess you really care about this… but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do and just… let her do what she does like the power hungry bitch that she is." Iris said.
"Should we though? …Mmmm…" Chiaki moaned again. "Someone just kill me please…"
"I got this." Strange said, using his magic as an aura surrounded Chiaki.
"Wh-what are you…?"
She immediately fell unconscious.
"Zzzzz…"
"That just put her into a deep sleep. It'll wear off as soon as the hangover effects disappear."
"Thanks." Hajime smiled, picking up his girlfriend. "Hey… do you mind if we hung out at your place for a while?"
"Oh, of course. My door's always open. You're welcome to crash there. Heck, Ruby sometimes crashes there herself." Nyx smiled.
"Thanks." Hajime nodded.
"Hey, do you still have that simulation room or did Futaba have that Ken doll get rid of it?" Ryuji asked.
"His name's Ambrosius, and yes, they actually do." Futaba responded. "I was gonna Ambrosius get rid of it, but Nyx thought it'd be best if we kept it."
"Yeah, if you think about it, it's great for training exercises." Nyx said. "Not to mention it helps me set up traps for if anyone wants to spar~" She giggled. "I've already got Mario figured out."
"Is it just for traps?" Ryuji sweatdropped.
"Nah, we do it to enhance our powers." Xena said.
"Ghost busting on my end, I just turn on the ghost mechanic and proceed to suck in ghosts to my heart's content while said ghost fights back. …That said, Meta Knight is still mean even as a ghost." Jade shuddered.
"I just do it normally. Sometimes Rantaro tag teams." Iris said.
"You still have Twilight Chiaki enabled in there?" Makoto asked.
"Yeah, why?" Nyx asked.
"I want to have another go at her." Makoto cracked her knuckles.
"I want to see what this girl's deal is." Mythra said. "Do you have any replays of the actual fight with Nanami?"
"Yeah, and it ain't pretty to watch." Ryuji said.
"Sounds good to me."
"Let's go." Sora said as they all took off, although Nyx stopped.
"What about you?" She asked Strange.
"Truth be told, Chiaki's not the only one that's bothered by this. Twilight Chiaki's hunger for power is consuming her, and once she had her fill in her universe… what's to stop her from going on a rampage in other timelines? She already knows about ours, so chances are, she knows about the Multiverse."
"...Oh gods." Nyx's eyes widened. "I didn't even think about it."
"Neither did I, but seeing as how Chiaki got herself drunk, which I don't blame her for, it's something to think of."
He turned around. "I'm going to have to meditate on this. Because I feel as if with a woman like her, the whole multiverse is at stake."
"I dunno, dude… I feel like there might be a bigger fish than Twilight Chiaki."
"Then we must nip this in the bud… before that bigger fish finds out about the multiverse." Strange walked off.
A shiver went up Nyx's spine. "Gods… that just made my blood run cold. I just hope her hunger stops before she goes into other universes…"
She turned around, looking up at the sky. "Not just for our sakes, but Anastasia, Yoshiko, Parvati and all those guys in that universe that Jade and I dropped into? And the one that Ruby went to… Sapphire Onyx, I think."
She shook her head. "There has to be a way." She said and then took off.
Back with the gang…
BGM: Sea Breeze: Hakolo Island - Day (Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin)
"Let's see… if I recall correctly, Lookout Cave was somewhere over here…" Kora said as she and Ranmar walked over to their destination, as she was joined by Weiss, Gloria, Ruby and Mine
"Yeah, that's gotta be the place!" Navirou said as they found the spot, where Ranmar jumped over the ledges before landing at the top.
"There we are!" Kora smiled.
"Isn't that Lookout Cave right there?" Mine asked.
"That's the one!" Navirou nodded as they walked toward the cave.
"Hmm?" Kora glanced over at Ruby's rose arm. "Heeeey… Ruby, right?"
"Yeah?"
"What's with your green arm?"
"Huh? Oh! Let's just say I… got into a dispute with a Barroth. Darn thing used its head to crush my entire shoulder to the point it needed to be amputated."
"A Barroth did that to you? Yikes… glad you got out okay. But I wonder why your new arm is green and… spiky?"
"It was created with plant life. I'm not bothered by it too much."
"Aaah, okay."
"You can make a whole arm out of a plant? That's quite impressive!" Navirou said.
I can't believe they bought that. Gloria, Mine and Weiss thought.
I can't believe they believed that! That was honestly the first monster I thought of too… there was no way I was going to throw Cerberus under the bus…
They walked into Lookout Cave, where they would see it stretched out longer than they thought. "Hmm… ah, okay, I got the scent of it. Follow me!" Navirou said as he walked off… only to get ambushed by a Bnahabara. "Yipe!" He yelped.
The Bnahabra shrieked and attempted to sting Navirou, but Mine sniped at it to get its attention. "Really? Usually head shots do the trick…" Mine said.
"I got this!" Gloria called out her Zubat.
"...Eh?" Kora blinked.
"Supersonic!"
Zubat screeched, using Supersonic on the Bnahabra. In turn, the Bnahabra looked around in confusion before flying over, stinging a Velocidrome that was minding its own business. It let out a yelp and turned around with a glare before it tackled the Bnahabra and proceeded to rip it apart.
"Well, that's one way to do it." Weiss said as the Zubat happily landed on Gloria's head.
"How the… what was that?" Kora asked.
"Oh! In the land that Cardin described, we capture monsters in these small balls. We call 'em… Pocket Monsters." Gloria lied.
"Pocket… Monsters?" Kora tilted her head.
"Yeah, we all have one!" Ruby said as she, Weiss and Mine brought out theirs.
"Sooo, you can pretty much capture anything in those things? Like, say for example, a Kirin?" Navirou asked.
"Yeah." Gloria nodded.
"...That. Is totally Paw-some! I didn't think there was such a device that can capture beasts! Man, I want one myself!"
Kora grinned. "You guys are cool!" She said as they walked off.
"...I don't feel great about lyin'." Gloria said.
"Yeah, I'm not a fan of it either but I dunno what else to say because I don't think these people know about different worlds."
"We're just gonna have to keep pretending for as long as we can." Mine said as they followed the duo.
"Sooo, tell me about yourselves." Kora said. "What are you guys like?"
"Well, I'm all about speed and hitting things all fast and furious like." Ruby giggled. "I'm also a lover of cookies."
"I mainly specialize in ice." Weiss said. "I also come from… a difficult place in my early childhood…"
"I'm a Poke-... Pocket Monster master-" Arceus, that sounds so weird to say… "-And I'm one ye shouldnae be messin' with if ye piss me off."
"It's true!" Ruby nodded.
"I… understood none of that but okay…" Kora nodded. What kind of accent was that?
"I'm a sharpshooter, plus I got a lil' dark side within me that you probably don't want to find out~" Mine smiled.
"That's… making my blood run cold." Navirou shuddered as they walked through the cave until Navirou guided them to the nest, which was guarded by a Velocidrome.
The monster paced around the nest to protect it, then turned its head to face them. With a snarl, it dug its foot into the ground and kicked back as if it was a warning. "Sorry, buddy… but we're gonna take that egg from ya!" Kora declared.
The Velocidrome snarled as it leapt into the air with a roar. Weiss's Kulu-Ya-Ku screeched as it jumped in as they both attacked each other, swiping at each other with snarls. Weiss immediately flanked the creature and stabbed the monster a few times with Kora jumping in from the side and slashing it.
The Kulu-Ya-Ku clashed hands with the Velocidrome, both of them wrestling to see who'd gain the upper hand, but the former proceeded to peck at the Velocidrome's shout, causing it to yelp as the Kulu-Ya-Ku slammed it into the ground before backing up… and then coming in to headbutt him for good measure.
"This guy's feisty!" Ruby said as the Velocidrome got back up and snarled at Ruby, lunging at her but Cerberus jumped in and clawed him to knock him down to the ground while Gloria had her Cinderace jump in and heel kicked it in the throat for good measure.
Weiss's Kulu-Ya-Ku turned to Weiss, letting out a screech. "You… want me to ride on you?"
"I think he wants to finish this Velocidrome out in style!" Navirou said. "Don't worry, I can help out with that!"
With a nod, Weiss hopped on her Monstie as Ruby jumped in and slashed it away with the help of Kora and Ranmar.
The Kulu-Ya-Ku took a running start and charged at the beast. Navirou ran beside them and tossed an egg to it. "Heads up!" He said as the Kulu-Ya-Ku caught the egg… only to immediately discover a lit up fuse next to it.
"HUH?!" Weiss yelled as her Monstie screeched, sweating in panic as he tossed it at the Velocidrome, where there was an explosion shortly after, knocking the Velocidrome in the air as Mine got into position… and shot it in the face to finish it off.
"Ha ha! Another satisfied custom-"
The Kulu-Ya-Ku picked up Navirou and proceeded to angrily shake him.
"Waaaaaaah! Whyyyyy aaaare yooooou shaaaakiiiiing meeeeeeee?! Iiiii waaaas juuuuust tryiiiiiing toooo heeeeeeeeelp!"
"Hey Weiss, have you thought of a name for him yet?" Ruby asked.
"Oh… uh… I haven't thought of anything yet…" Weiss mumbled.
"Hmmm… what to name this bird…" Mine wondered.
"Ah! Race Race Cinder!"
"Hmm?" Gloria wondered.
"Race Race Cin Cin Race Ra!"
"Come ta think of it, that does make sense…"
"Oh right, I forgot you can understand him due to your-" Mine glanced at Kora who was looking over Cinderace. "-Talent."
"Cute!" Kora smiled.
"How about Ovi, short for Oviraptor?" Gloria pointed out.
"You understood that?!" Kora said in surprise.
"Ovi… uh… I guess that can work…" Weiss said. "How do you like the name Ovi?"
The Kulu-Ya-Ku stopped shaking Navirou for a few moments, nodding in approval with a smile.
"Oh good, he likes-"
Ovi kept shaking Navirou.
"Iiiiiiiiiiiiiit!"
Everyone else walked over to the nest where they saw a few eggs. "One for each?" Ruby asked.
"I say just only one for now…" Kora said.
"Good idea…" Navirou dizzily approached them with swirls over his eyes. "Let's not get too greedy… ooooh…" He fell on his back. "I'm okay."
Navirou sat up, shaking it off and approached the eggs. "Let's see…" He started to sniff each one.
"I guess you have a knack for… smelling eggs?" Mine asked.
"The stinkier and heavier they are, the better!" Navirou said as he checked each one while everyone gave each other weird looks before shrugging.
"Light as a feather… kinda light… ooooh, this one smells… oh, false alarm… it's a normal smell… this one's… oooof, heavy as can be!"
Kora picked it up. "Then that's what we'll get. Come on!"

Back at the village…
BGM: Fluttering Kites - Mahana Village (Monster Hunter Stories 2)
"Hey, look at you coming back with an egg!" Kayna grinned as they went to the stable to hatch it… which turned into a Velocidrome.
"Oh, another one of those. Cool." Mine said as the Velocidrome turned to Mine… and proceeded to pounce on her. "Wah! Oh! Hey! I guess you like me! …Aaaaand you're getting… heavier by the second! Oh gosh!"
THUD!
"I'm okay… nnnngh! How do you guys grow so fast?"
"We were just sharing stories while you were away." Gara said. "The tales I have heard are quite fascinating, if not a bit otherworldly to us, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about."
"Fascinating! I can't wait to hear more about 'em!" Kora grinned.
"Indeed… and since you went to Lookout Cave and came back successfully, I say it's time you're ready for the next one. Wouldn't you agree, Kayna?"
"Wait, are you referring to…?" Kayna grimaced. "I dunno, I feel like it might be a bit too much for her. …Then again, I'm sure her friends can help her out."
"You can tag along as well." Gara said.
"What's going on?" Navirou asked. "Whatever it is, Kora and I can handle it! …Along with these guys!"
"We're received reports of recent turf wars in the Pona Grasslands." Gara replied.
"Turf Wars? What's that?" Navirou asked, as everyone but the natives immediately thought of Inkopolis.
"I'm assuming this does not involve a lot of paint." Zinnia said.
"Paint?" Kayna raised an eyebrow. "Well, maybe if you paint the area with a monster's blood… but never mind that! It's basically when monsters fight over territory."
"There are instances where we found badly injured monsters coming from that area." Gara explained.
"We gotta nip it in the bud, otherwise this island's ecosystem will get… ugly." Kayna said.
"Well, let's go stop this Turf War then!" Cardin said. "The sooner we get that done, the better."
"Exactly!" Kayna nodded. "Let's go!"
"Right behind ya!" Kora nodded with determination.

BGM: Sea Breeze: Hakolo Island - Day
The group walked out of the village. "Alright, now where could Pona Grasslands be?" Blake asked.
"Just up ahead!" Kayna said as she walked to the right as they all walked up ahead, knocking down a few aggressive Aptonoth.
"Huh, usually they're quite mild…" Cardin mused.
"Sooo, how exactly are we gonna track this monster anyway?" Kora asked.
"We search for clues of its whereabouts." Kayna said. "And the best way to do that?" She pulled out a small cage filled with Scoutflies. "These guys will help us figure it out!"
"Already got ya covered." Sky said as CRDL brought their Scoutflies out and they went off while a few of Kayna's Scoutflies wrapped around Kora, where they all went around and saw torn grass, broken bones, broken ore and mostly torn grass, which was enough to get the Scoutflies agitated and flew off in a hurry where they chased after them, knocking down some Velociprey that got too curious.
Soon, they would get around some Larinoth that were mostly interested in eating leaves as they would find what they were looking for… a Yian Kut Ku.

"That's a Yian Kut Ku…" Blake said.
"Those guys are nasty if you don't know what you're doing…" Cardin said.
"Well, we can just sneak up on it. Come on, buddy. Let's get the jump on it!" Navirou said as he and Kora slowly approached it while it found a yellow Konshu in the water.
"Hmmm…" Zinnia rubbed her chin and decided to climb up a slope that was parallel to the duo. She quickly snuck up behind it and got on one knee. "That's it…"
"Easy does it…" Navirou whispered.
Snap!
"Mmmph!" Both of them froze as Navirou looked down to see a twig that he didn't notice. "Eheheheh…" He grimaced as the Yian Kut Ku turned to glare at them, before letting out a roar and charged at them.
BGM: Swaying Grasslands (Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin)
"Yaaaaaaaah!" Zinnia dropped down and landed on top of the beast, causing the Yian Kut Ku to yelp and tried to shake her off of it. It's screeching caught the attention of a few curious Bulldromes as they went over to investigate, and saw everyone and charged at them, forcing them to fight them off as Terra, Sheele, Seryu, Koro and Mahiru would join them.
Zinnia proceeded to punch the back of the neck of the beast as the Yian Kut Ku attempted to shake her off.
"What's she doing?" Kora wondered.
"Knowing her? Being herself!" Terra said as he jumped in and slashed the Yian Kut Ku in the forehead.
"Alright, that's enough beating you up!" Zinnia said, backflipping off of it and calling her Altaria, landing right on top of her as the Yian Kut Ku glared at her and breathed fire, but her Altaria used Dragon Pulse, both of them connecting as Zinnia tossed a rock at the monster to distract it, which caused the Dragon Pulse to strike it.
Sheele came charging in and slashed at the beast, knocking it back. The Yian Kut Ku responded by charging and headbutting Kora, but she rolled out of the way as Ranmar charged in and swiped at it where Terra then used Blizzaga, freezing the monster's legs as Sheele cut through it, then Seryu shot at him with Koro jumping in to pounce on the beast.
The Yian Kat Ku growled and chomped down at Koro, but the Palamute jumped away. The Yian Kut Ku charged at them, but Mahiru had her camera set up and took a picture, flashing the beast and caused it to be disoriented, making it slam right into a rock wall to knock it unconscious.
"Moon Blast!" Zinnia ordered as Altaria unleashed Moon Blast at the creature. The Yian Kat-Ku got back up with a snarl, its eyesight still blurry from the attack as Sheele got into a stance, and then in a flash, Sheele slashed through the creature, causing the Yian Kut-Ku to fall to the ground in defeat.
"I'm sorry…" She said quietly, putting her scissors away… but then saw the Yian Kut Ku getting up and flying back to its den right as everyone else knocked out the Bulldromes.
End BGM
"Quickly, to its den! We can probably finish it off!" Kayna said, with all of them nodding and taking off toward the den.
The Yian Kut-Ku landed on the nest, badly injured as it proceeded to curl up to try and rest… only to get Dragon Clawed by a Salamence, causing it to yelp as the Salamence grabbed it by the tail and tossed it to the side where Sheele cut through it once more, this time cutting through the neck to finish it.
"I'm sorry… again."
"Way to go, bud!" Zinnia smiled, petting her Salamence on the head as Navirou went to investigate the nest.
"Let's see here… oooh, this one will do!" He said as he picked it up and walked off with it, but as he did, the egg started to hatch. "Oh my, already?!" He exclaimed in surprise as a baby Yian Kut Ku hatched out of it.
"At least we got one on our side now." Terra said as the Yian Kut Ku laid eyes on Weiss and approached her, while also growing quickly as well.
"Um… h-hi…?" Weiss greeted as the Yian Kut-Ku nuzzled against her. "O-Oh! N-Nice to meet you too…"
"Hmm…" Cardin folded his arms, rubbing his chin in thought.
"What is it?" Aqua asked.
"Okay, I have a theory." Cardin said. "Weiss's Rathalos is a Wyvern. The Kulu Ya Ku is a Bird Wyvern and the Yian Kut Ku is also a Bird Wyvern as well."
"What are you getting at?"
"Call me crazy… but I have a feeling Weiss just might be a Wyvern master… or, the other Wyverns are picking up her distress and want to do anything to help her out."
He chuckled. "Either way, she's gonna have a hell of an army with her."
Meanwhile, back with Strange…
"America… I'd like you to do something for me." Strange said as he approached her.
"What's up?" She asked, doing a few air strikes.
"You recall Twilight Chiaki, right?"
"Ugh, it's been what, yesterday? Of course I remember her."
"Well… apparently Chiaki's not letting it go. Granted, it's been a day after the incident, but I have a feeling she's not going to leave it alone for a while, and frankly, I'm a bit on edge myself."
"It's the Triforce of Power, right? Her hunger for power is getting the best of her."
"Yes… and with that, it comes great danger that she might not just settle for her universe, but the whole multiverse as well, given that she already knows about ours."
"Yeah, but unfortunately, we're stuck while she's off doing loads of bullshit to everything."
"Indeed… which is why I need a favor."
"What is it?"
"I need you to go to her universe and keep an eye on her."
America grimaced. "Y-You want me to spy on her?"
"Yes. Heaven knows what she's gonna do next, so I would like you to see what she's up to. If she goes off to another world in her universe, follow her and report anything you see."
America folded her arms. "Just one condition."
"Yes?"
"Make a rune to where she's unable to cancel out your magic, because I would like to watch her while invisible and I would rather not have her bullshit her way into getting rid of that."
Strange smirked. "You and I are on the same wavelength."
