Arriving in the New Universe
Ash, Jessie, James, & Meowth appeared in S. Arceus' world as they were in front of a city.
"Hello, New World." Ash said
"This city looks like the place to get your license." Jessie said
"What's the name of this city anyway?" Meowth said
"It says on the sign that this city is called Townsville City." James said
"Townsville City? That's a very unusual name for a city." Jessie said
"I don't think I've heard of it, what Region are we in?" Meowth said
"It says on the Roto-Arc Phone that we're in the Kanto Region." Ash said "I guess things are different here from our world."
"Hm, I guess that makes sense." Meowth said as he noticed Ash's hand "Ash, where's your PokéGauntlet?"
"What? I was wearing it a second ago." Ash said
"Wait, Ash, try making a fist." Jessie said
Ash made a fist & the PokéGauntlet appeared
"Oh, I guess that's how it works." Ash said as he dispersed the PokéGauntlet
"Hey Ash, let's go do something." Meowth said
"Why? I have to get my Trainer License." Ash said
"But Ash, you've been traveling in our old world for 8 long years, don't you think it's about time you had a little break." James said
"Yeah, besides today's your birthday, we should go do something before we get your Trainer License renewed, it won't take all day." Jessie said
"Well, I guess you're right, I can't even remember the last time I celebrated my birthday." Ash said
"What do you mean by that?" James said
"To tell you guys the truth…the last time my birthday was celebrated was before I started my journey." Ash said lowly
"Wait, so you never had a birthday party since then?" Meowth said shockingly along with Jessie & James
"No." Ash sighed
"Geez, what has your former mother been doing the whole time on your birthday for the past 8 years!?" Jessie said in outrage
"If I didn't know any better, I would say since Ash was under the effects of the Intelligence Diminishing drugs, it would make him forget about his own birthday so that Delia wouldn't have to worry about planning & celebrating her own son's birthday." James said disappointedly
"Wow, she's a real mother of the year, ain't she?" Meowth said sarcastically
"Okay Ash, since it's your birthday, is there anything you want to do?" Jessie said
"Well, I was thinking maybe…we can take a walk in the park to take my mind off some things, & after that we can…maybe go roller skating or an arcade?" Ash said apprehensively
"That's a super fun birthday idea." James said
As they were walking through Townsville Park
"You okay, Ash?" Jessie asked
"I'm fine, I'm just a bit shaken up from what happened in our previous world." Ash said "Well guys, looks like I'll be back to where I started."
"Sure seems like it, at least you get to start over your Pokémon Journey without anyone ruining it." Jessie said
"Yeah, I definitely learned a lesson from that, never under any circumstances let anyone travel with you on a Pokémon journey." Ash said
"Mm-hm, that means you'll be on your own from now on." James said
"You should've been on your own a long time ago, why didn't you just decline to let them travel with you, the least you could've done is say no." Meowth said
"For example, Meowth, I was just too nice & generous for my own good. Besides, even if I did say no, no doubt they would be persistent & wouldn't take no for an answer." Ash said
"Oh, I guess that makes sense." Meowth said
"Still, it hurts knowing that the ones I thought were my friends, only to find out they were just people who were hired to hold me back." Ash said "Damn, I can't trust anybody these days."
"What about that Tracey kid, I didn't see him in the memory when they betrayed you." James said
"I don't know if Tracey believes that I'm innocent or not, but now that I think about it, he & Professor Ivy weren't in on the plan to hold me back, that's what Lady Arceus told me." Ash said "I hope he doesn't think I'm guilty, he's the only friend I have left."
"You still have us as your friends, Ash." James said
"True." Ash said
"Why don't you call him?" Jessie said
"I would, but I'm a bit hesitant right now, maybe someday I will." Ash said "But you know, I never had any friends growing up, I was laughed at, berated, criticized, tried to be put down by everyone because of my dreams."
"Yeah, we know how you feel." Jessie sighed
"We've also been berated & put down by everyone." Meowth said
"We may be criminals, but we have hearts." Jessie said
"& feelings too." Meowth said
"You know, Ash, when I saw your 'mother' trying to run your life, it reminded me of how my parents tried to run my life." James said
"I know, but would you guys have believed I would use drugs & cause chaos in that video?" Ash asked
"Are you kidding, of course not, you're not the kind of guy who would do something like that." Meowth said
"Also, we wouldn't frame you even if we tried & believe me we've tried during that time in Kalos." James said
"I remember that." Ash said
"But still, we're not that smart to know how to create a video of you wreaking havoc & we couldn't afford to buy illegal Pokémon drugs, do you realize how expensive those things are?" James said
"Okay, I get it." Ash said as he looked at his arms & hands "I gotta get some clothes to cover these up. Lady Arceus said that my injuries will have scars, that was the last thing I wanted."
"What's wrong with scars, I'm sure yours ain't gonna be that bad." Meowth said
"Meowth, did you not see how they jacked him up!?" Jessie said "It must hurt like hurt like hell."
"You have no idea, it was the worst pain I ever experienced in my life." Ash said
"No doubt, how many Pokémon are you planning to catch?" Jessie said
"As many as possible, I wanted to catch a lot of Pokémon back in our old world, but since I was under the effects of the drugs, I couldn't." Ash said
"Hey, since you can upgrade your Pokémon Carry Limit using the Roto-Arc Phone, how many Pokémon are you planning to carry?" James said
"Somewhere in between 20 & 22 Pokémon even." Ash said
"I see." James said
"Guys, I have to go to the restroom." Jessie said
"Me too." James said
As Jessie & James went to the public restroom, Ash & Meowth sat at a bench to wait for them.
"You know, we spent a lot of time thinking about all the things we could've done. We wake up in the morning & we think, Jessie could've been a Top Coordinator, James could've been living his life free from his parents & ex-fiance, & I could've been the strongest Meowth of my kind…" Meowth said sadly before sighing "...Crap, I wish things had been different, we would do anything in the freaking world just for things to be different…I guess we're gonna be a bunch of low rank grunts who can't even steal or catch one Pokémon for the rest of our damned lives."
Ash stared at Meowth in sympathy as he felt bad for him along with Jessie & James. He wanted to help them & that's when he got an idea.
"Meowth, I know just how to help you guys." Ash said as he pulled out his Roto-Arc Phone "Rotom, call Giovanni."
Calling Giovanni
"Hello?" Giovanni said
"Giovanni, it's me, Ash." Ash said
"Oh, Ash, how can I help you?" Giovanni said
"Well, it's about Jessie, James, & Meowth." Ash said
"What about them?" Giovanni said
"I was wondering if you could let them travel to gain more experience since they're not doing a very good job as Team Rocket Grunts, if they traveled as Pokémon Trainers, they can be strong enough to steal people's Pokémon back in our world." Ash said
"Hmm, that's not a bad idea, very well I'll let them travel in order to become strong grunts." Giovanni said
"Thanks Giovanni." Ash said
"Also, I have a present for you, hopefully Lady Arceus' spies will send it somehow." Giovanni said
"Okay, bye." Ash said as he hung up
"Wow, that was pretty easy." Meowth said
Meanwhile Jessie & James were getting out of the restroom until their Rotom Phone started ringing
"Hello?" Jessie said
"Jessie, James, this is Giovanni." Giovanni said "Have you arrived in the new world?"
"Yes sir, we've decided to do something for Ash's Birthday before we get his Trainer License." Jessie said
"Wonderful, Listen, I want to talk to you about something." Giovanni said "You see, Ash called me & he asked me if I could let you travel as Pokémon Trainers."
"Us? Travel as Pokémon Trainers? But why?" James said
"Come now, you both know that you two haven't been very useful at your jobs, so Ash gave me the idea to let you two travel as Pokémon Trainers so that you can get enough experience & get strong enough to become a high rank for Team Rocket." Giovanni said
"You mean it, Sir?" Jessie asked
"Yes, think it over, if you two can become strong, you can help Ash with his revenge against his betrayers while he's gone by stealing their new Pokémon." Giovanni said
"Hm, that sounds like a pretty good idea." Jessie said
"We'll take it." James said
"Excellent, I have someone set up Trainer Licenses on your Rotom Phones, I have to go, I'll see you later." Giovanni said as he hung up
(In the Original Universe)
"Giovanni, the others are ready for the meeting." Matori informed
"Alright, I'm on my way." Giovanni said as he pulled out a present & put it on his desk "Happy Birthday, Ash."
As Giovanni left his office, the present disappeared.
(In the Alternate Universe)
"Ash, I can't believe you did that for us." Jessie said
"Hey, you guys deserve a chance to travel as Pokémon Trainers." Ash said
"Hey Ash, what's going on with your hand?" Meowth said
"What do you mean?" Ash said
"Well, look at it." Meowth said
Ash looked at his hand & noticed that the back of it was blinking a red light.
"It must be the PokéGauntlet." Ash said
He summoned the PokéGauntlet & the ruby shined out in a bright light & the present appeared
"This has to be the present Giovanni sent me." Ash said as he opened it
"It looks like an outfit." Jessie said
"I should change into these." Ash said
Ash went to the public restroom to change. A few minutes later, Ash went out of the restroom as he was wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a Team Rocket symbol in the center, a black & red jacket with a Team Rocket symbol on the right side of the chest area, black jeans, a black cap with a Team Rocket symbol in the center, gray shoes & gray fingerless gloves.
"How do I look?" Ash asked
"Wow, you look like an honorary member of Team Rocket." Jessie said amazingly
"Thanks, these surprisingly fit just right." Ash said
"Imagine how your betrayers would react if they saw you wearing this?" James said
"Yeah, they would certainly freak out." Ash chuckled
"Can we go have birthday fun now?" Meowth said
"Alright." Ash said "Rotom, is there an arcade or a roller rink around here?"
Luckily for them, there was a place that was both a roller rink & an arcade. To add more to their luck, the place was free for people who have birthdays along with birthday guests
"Wow, look at this place, this is gigantic." Meowth said
"Good thing it's free for us or we'll be costing a fortune." James said
"Ash, do you even know how to roller skate?" Jessie said
"No, it's actually my first time." Ash said "But it will be something new to try for myself."
"Good luck with that." James mumbled
After Ash put on his roller skates & went to the skating floor, he began to struggle
"Whoa." Ash said as he fell lightly on one knee "How did Korrina do this, she made this look easy."
"You okay?" Jessie called out
"Yeah, I'm fine." Ash responded as he slowly stood up "Okay, steady, steady–Oh no, Crap!"
"Careful." A voice said as few hands caught him by the arms & waist from behind
Ash looked back & saw three girls who are his age & looked like identical triplets. The first girl had red hair & pink eyes wearing a red bow on her head, & a pink shirt with a red skirt. The second girl had blonde hair styled in twintails & light blue eyes wearing a light blue shirt with a blue skirt with light blue polka dots on it. The third girl had black hair & light green eyes wearing a light green shirt, green shorts, & green sneakers.
"Thanks." Ash said
"No problem." The first girl said
"First time, huh?" The third girl said
"Yeah, it actually is." Ash said as he scratched the back of his head
"That's okay, I remember my first time roller skating being a struggle like that." The second girl said
"If you want, we can teach you how to roller skate." The first girl said
"Really? I mean I don't want it to be any trouble." Ash said
"Relax, it's no trouble." The third girl said
"Yeah, we love helping people." The second girl said
"I'm Blossom by the way, & these are my sister's Bubbles & Buttercup." Blossom said
"Hello." Bubble smiled & winked
"Sup." Buttercup said with a blow of her bubblegum
"Nice to meet you girls, I'm Ash, Ash Tajiri." Ash said
The three sisters showed the ropes of roller skating, thanks to Ash being clean of the intelligence diminishing drugs, he learned things real quick.
"You're doing a good job, Ash." Bubble praised
"Yep, you're getting the hang of this." Buttercup agreed
"You're a fast learner." Blossom said
"Thanks girls." Ash said
"So Ash, what brings you to Townsville City?" Blossom asked
"I'm here to renew myself as a Pokémon Trainer." Ash said
"Oh, well you're in luck, because the Pokémon Professor happens to be our Dad." Blossom said
"Are you serious?" Ash said surprisingly
"Yep, Professor can help you out with that." Buttercup said
"Great." Ash smiled
"Is that why you're here at the Roller Rink & Arcade, to celebrate?" Bubbles said
"Not exactly, I'm actually here celebrating my Birthday." Ash said
"Ooh, Happy Birthday." Bubbles smiled happily
"How about you three?" Ash asked
"We're here to spend time with our Dad before we leave on our Pokémon Journey." Blossom said
"Oh, well, I hope I get to battle you three someday." Ash said
"Ash." Jessie along with James & Meowth approached them "You seem to be doing good with roller skating."
"Thanks Jess." Ash said
"Who are these young ladies?" James said
"This is Blossom, Bubbles, & Buttercup, they helped me out with roller skating." Ash said
"Are you Ash's parents?" Blossom asked
"Oh no, we're just friends of his." Jessie said
"That's right." Meowth nodded
"Oh cool, a talking Meowth." Buttercup said amazingly
"Girls." A man with black hair wearing a white lab coat, black pants & black shoes.
"Hi Professor." The girls said
"Are you three having a blast?" The professor said
"You bet." The girls said
"Hm?" The Professor said as he noticed Ash & his group. "& who might you be?"
"Excuse me, Professor, I'm Ash, Ash Tajiri & these are my friends Jessie & James" Ash said
"Well, it's nice to meet you, I'm Professor Utonium, the Pokémon Professor of the Kanto Region." Utonium said
"Professor, Ash came all this way to Townsville City to renew himself as a Pokémon Trainer." Blossom said
"Oh, then it's a good thing we ran into each other." Utonium said
"Hey Ash, you wanna play a game of rock climbing?" Buttercup asked
"Yeah." Ash said
When they went to the rock climbing area, Ash took off his jacket as Utonium saw the bandages on Ash's arms which surprised & concerned him. As Ash & the girls were climbing
"Jessie, James, what are those bandages on his arms, did he get hurt?" Utonium said
"...Yes…very badly." Jessie said hesitantly
"What happened to him?" Utonium asked
"He…There was a terrible incident that happened, it caused him to become severely injured & lose his trainer license." James said
"Oh…" Utonium said in concern
Ash was climbing the rock wall until his foot slipped
"Whoa!" Ash exclaimed
"I gotcha." Buttercup caught him by the hand
"Thanks Buttercup." Ash said as she pulled him up to where he fell off "It's been a while since I've done this."
"That's alright." Buttercup said
"You're pretty strong, you work out?" Ash said
"Heh, let's just say my sisters & I aren't ordinary girls." Buttercup said
"What could she mean by that?" Ash thought curiously
After that, Ash played the games in the arcade & got a lot of tickets. When he got to the prize section, he was trying to decide which prize he wanted until he noticed Bubbles standing a few feet from him staring at something in the prize section. He looked & saw that she was looking at a plushie which resembled a Zorua which was gray with white fluff & blue markings.
"I would like that one." Ash said as he was given the plush & gave it to Bubble "Here you go, Bubbles."
"Ash, you're giving this to me?" Bubbles said surprisingly "I mean I always wanted this, but are you sure?"
"Yeah, you needed this more than any of the other prizes I would want." Ash smiled
"Aw, you're so sweet." Bubbles blushed
"Hey, is that plushie some kind of a regional variant of a Zorua?" Ash said
"It is, it's a Shiny Hisuian Zorua." Bubbles said "I'm hoping to catch one on my Journey."
"I wish you luck on that." Ash said
Then Ash went to the photo booth with Blossom
"These are good photos." Blossom said
"Yep, definitely keeping these as a memoir." Ash said
"Are you having a good Birthday, Ash?" Blossom said
"Are you kidding? This is the best Birthday ever." Ash said "I'm glad Jessie & James talked me into it."
"Well, it's always important to celebrate your birthday." Blossom said "You're lucky to have friends like Jessie & James for wanting to celebrate your birthday."
"Yeah, I've known those two for a long time, we've had our ups & downs but in the end, we're still friends." Ash said
Finally, they ate & had a Birthday cake, when it was over.
"This has been a fun day." Ash said as they exited the roller rink & arcade
"It sure has." Meowth agreed
"Hey Professor, how far is it to your place?" Ash asked
"Pretty far, but we'll be there in no time thanks to the girls." Utonium said "Girls, will you do the honors?"
"Yes, Professor." The girls nodded
Blossom grabbed Ash & Meowth, Bubbles grabbed Utonium, & Buttercup grabbed Jessie & James before taking off into the sky. In about a half minute, they arrived at the Utonium Residence.
"Here we are." Blossom said
"Wow, did you guys just fly us into the sky?" Ash said shockingly
"Yep, told ya we were no ordinary girls." Buttercup said
"People in Townsville City call us the Powerpuff Girls." Bubbles said
"Thanks for the lift, girls, have fun on your Pokémon." Utonium said
"We will. Ash, I hope we meet again next time" Blossom said as she took off
"See you later, cutie." Bubbles winked & took off
"Stay cool." Buttercup said as she took off
"Wow." Ash said in awe
"Ash, shall we begin giving you a new Trainer License?" Utonium said
"Oh yeah, right Professor." Ash said as Utonium entered the house
*Ding!*
Jessie & James pulled out their Rotom Phones & looked
"Ash, our Trainer Licenses just arrived." Jessie said
"Good, so will you guys be on your way?" Ash asked
"Yes, thank you for giving us this chance, Ash." James said
"No problem, thanks for the best birthday ever." Ash smiled
"You're welcome, it was fun chasing you while trying to steal your Pokémon, but after what happened, there's no reason for us to do that to you anymore." Jessie said
"Yeah, we're sorry we had been slowing throughout your journey, like I said it was never our intention to hold you back on your dream." James apologized
"It's fine, I hope you guys become strong & we can have a real Pokémon Battle with each other." Ash said
"Meowth, can you stay with Ash & look after him?" Jessie said
"Sure thing." Meowth nodded
"You two take care of each other." Ash said
"We will." Jessie & James said as they left
"Well, there they go." Meowth said
"Yeah." Ash said "Hey Meowth, since you're staying with me, how would you like me to help you become strong?"
"You kidding, I'd love to, there's no way I'm gonna let Jessie & James get ahead of me." Meowth smiled
"Ash, are you coming?" Utonium called out
"Coming Professor." Ash responded
Ash & Utonium entered his lab, Utonium plugged up Ash's Roto-Arc Phone to his computer.
"Okay, so your first name is Ash & your last name is Tajiri, is Tajiri spelled with a G or a J?" Utonium said
"J" Riolu said telepathically in Ash's head from the PokéGauntlet
"It's a J." Ash said before thinking "Thanks Riolu."
"Age?" Utonium said
"11." Ash said
"Home Region?" Utonium said
"Kanto." Ash said
"Hometown?" Utonium said
"…" Ash said
"Do you have a hometown?" Utonium asked
"I do, but…I don't call it my home anymore." Ash said lowly
"Hmm." Utonium said in wonder "It sounds like the incident Jessie & James mentioned must have caused Ash to be banished or something, it's quite concerning."
"I'm sorry, Professor." Ash apologized shamefully
"Oh no, it's okay, but I'm afraid you can't renew yourself as a Pokémon Trainer if you don't clarify where you're from." Utonium said "The only way for us to do that is that we have to take it up with the Mayor."
"Did somebody call?" A short man with a white mustache wearing glasses & a mayor's outfit appeared along with a tall curvy woman with curly red hair wearing a vivid-red buttoned-down blouse and a matching thigh-high pencil skirt.
"Oh, Mr. Mayor, Ms. Bellum, what are you doing here?" Utonium said
"We were just coming over to check if the girls had already left for their Journey." Bellum said
"Well, yes, they did." Utonium said "Listen Mayor, there's something I need your help with."
"Hm? What seems to be the trouble?" Mayor said
"You see, Ash here is renewing himself as a Pokémon Trainer, but it appears that he doesn't have a Hometown, without that he can never become a Trainer again." Utonium said
"Oh dear, that's very troubling indeed." Mayor said "Lucky for you, I have just the thing."
The Mayor pulled out a paper & signed it with a pen.
"Here, sign your name at the top line." Mayor said as Ash took the pen & signed it "Alright, Ash Tajiri, you are officially an honorary citizen of Townsville City."
"Thank you Mr. Mayor, you're a lifesaver." Ash smiled
"Think nothing of it, dear boy, I'm always happy to help." Mayor said
When Utonium finished with Ash's new Trainer License
"Ash Tajiri, as Pokémon Professor of the Kanto Region, you are once again officially a Pokémon Trainer." Oak said
"Awesome, thanks Professor, I owe you one." Ash said
"You don't owe me anything, Ash." Utonium said "By the way, I noticed that you didn't have anything on you except the clothes on your back, did you have time to prepare?"
"No sir." Ash said
"I see, but don't worry, I can help you with that." Utonium said as he left "Stay right here, I'll be right back."
"Hey Sweetheart, I hope you don't mind me asking, but why don't you have a hometown?" Bellum asked
"I had one, but it's not my hometown anymore." Ash said
"Why? Did you get kicked out?" Mayor asked
"Yes…" Ash said
"What for? Did you get in trouble or something?" Mayor said
"Yes, I got in trouble…but I got in trouble for something I didn't do." Ash said
"Do you mind telling us the whole story?" Bellum said
"It's very complicated…I don't wanna talk about it." Ash said
"Alright then, but if you do want to talk about it, feel free to come to us." Bellum said as she placed a hand on Ash's shoulder "& If someone from your old hometown tells us before you do, we'll be willing to hear your side of the story."
"You mean it?" Ash said
"Of course, we can even do an investigation & give you a fair trial." Mayor said
"…Thanks." Ash said
"Here you are, Ash." Utonium came back with a black rucksack "This has everything you need: food, water, camping gear, & a tent that goes with it."
"Professor, you really didn't have to do that." Ash said
"Nonsense, it's the least I could do to get you prepared for your Pokémon Journey." Utonium smiled "Now, off you go, you have a whole new adventure ahead of you."
As Ash left the Utonium Residence
"Thank you for the help, Professor, you too Mr. Mayor & Ms. Bellum." Ash said as he left
"Goodbye Ash, see you later." Utonium said
"Take care of yourself." Bellum said
"Have a good trip." Mayor said "I like that kid."
"Me too, the girls seem to be quite fond of him." Utonium said
"Although, he was rather a bit, how should I say this? Curious." Mayor said
"I agree, you know, there's bandages on his arms underneath that jacket he's wearing." Utonium said
"Bandages?" Bellum repeated
"Yes, his friends Jessie & James told me that there was an incident that caused Ash to get hurt very badly & lose his Trainer License."
"That explains why never mentioned his old hometown." Mayor said
"I don't know, but I'm starting to get a bit concerned for Ash." Bellum said
"Well, we can only hope that he stays safe out there." Utonium said "Perhaps in time, Ash will open to us when he feels like he's ready."
Ash was standing on the road with Meowth, Psyduck, & Aipom standing next to him on the left, & Riolu, Gastly, Croagunk, & second Tauros standing next to Ash on the right as he had brought them out of the PokéGauntlet. They were staring at the path to Route 1 from afar ready for their new journey together
"Let's go." Ash said
"Right." The Pokémon said
They started walking towards the path with determined glares ready to face anything that comes their way as their new journey begins.
Meanwhile back in the original universe, Giovanni was in a meeting with Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, Lysandre, & Guzma
"I still can't believe that happened to Ash." Guzma said
"Whoever framed Ash, I certainly have them to thank." Ghetsis said
"Hey, you better watch your damn mouth!" Guzma glared "Ash didn't deserve to be stabbed in the back like that."
"Calm yourself, Guzma, we're not saying he deserved it, we're saying that whoever framed Ash gave us a chance to continue where we left off of our plans." Cyrus said
"Indeed, whoever it was, they along with those who betrayed him had made a huge mistake now that Ash is going to help us with our plans once he gets back." Lysandre said "It also made things a lot easier when Ash found out that his Pokémon Journey was desecrated."
"Here I thought the world should be kept as it is, but it looks like I was once again foolishly mistaken." Maxie said
"Yeah, & what happened to Ash along with his entire journey being sabotaged just proves that this world is corrupted by greed! All of them should be wiped out & sent to the deepest parts of Hell!" Archie said furiously
"Alright everyone, settle down, it's time for us to discuss our plan." Giovanni said
"Operation: Rainbow Rocket."
