Chapter 6: Headhunters
On an unknown planet, Ren is heading for a location to meet with one of his Pathfinder comrades. "Seems like the crew of the Astral Express managed to find the Omni Compass," Ren said hopping over rooftops to avoid detection.
"Yes but we have to continue forward and push our plans ahead," Alice said.
"It's still under control," an unknown woman said.
"Gwen, you in position?" Ren asked as
"Yes, I have your back. The drones are detecting someone inside the warehouse, it's one of the Stellation Hunters. It's a tall woman," Gwen said as Ren fixed up his sunglasses.
"It's Kafka, that smug woman needs to be put in her place," Ren said.
"Kicking the shit out of her will send a strong message to the Hunters," Gwen said as he gets on top of the warehouse to enter inside. He sees a few guards easily overpower them and snap their necks to shove them onto the floor.
"The pathfinder should be here," Ren said as he entered into a huge area with crates and various items.
He finds his comrade to see her throat was slit. "So, you did this?" Ren asked as Kafka appeared before him with her usual smug expression.
"We hear through the grapevine about new players in town. I wanted a bit of information but for some reason, she didn't give me what I wanted," Kafka said.
"Yeah, your little trick isn't going to work. You can't talk your way out of this one," Ren said as he was angry one of his members was dead but he kept focused on this dangerous woman.
"Now, how about you let me leave," Kafka said using her hypnotic voice with Ren showing a smirk. He uses his raw speed to deliver a powerful kick to Kafka's head to send her flying into a crate.
"Like I said, that is not going to work," Ren said as his Cogna implants prevent Kafka's special voice from getting him under her influence. "Begin recording combat data of Kafka," Ren said getting into a combat stance and summoning a pair of gauntlets on his hands.
"I got your back if something bad happens," Gwen said on the radio as the drones scanned through the walls to see the two fighters facing each other.
Kafka gets back onto her feet to spit blood on the floor. "Interesting, seems like you are more than just a punk," Kafka said as she drew her katana blade.
"Well, Kafka I will give you seven minutes of my time to play with you. I have more important things to do," Ren said as the drones began to set up explosives around the warehouse to set them up for 10 minutes to go off.
"So confident, can you back that up," Kafka feeling calm for Ren is trying not to laugh to see how unmatched she truly is. She slices the air to release lightning crescents with Ren swiftly dodging the energy attacks. Kafka sees Ren is going so fast, it's very hard to keep track of his movements. She pulls out her machine pistol to unleash a volley of bullets but Ren easily dodges all of them. He slides under the hail of fire to sweep kick her and then follow up with a powerful palm strike sending her across the warehouse. "Very strong too," Kafka regains her balance in mid-air unleashing waves of bolts of lightning and electric crescents.
Ren is dodging and evading all her hits. She tosses a web of electricity at Ren. He fires a bullet to hit a hanging shipping crate to drop it in front of him to block her move. He dashes up and punches the large crate sending it towards Kafka.
She powers up her katana with lightning to slice the crate in half with Ren right behind it. He delivers a powerful flying kick to strike her head stunning her as he is sending rapid-fire punches to push her back with each strike getting stronger than the last.
He uses a titanic one-inch punch onto Kafka's chest to hear her ribs breaking from the overwhelming force of the blow. "The Stellaron Hunters are not breaking fate or any nonsense like that. You still help maintain the status quo of the Aeons which makes you all part of the problem in turn our enemies," Ren said as he kicked all the crates at her. She is dodging and weaving but her rubs are slowing her down. One box slams into her face to knock her into a pile of boxes.
Kafka rushes at him but he sets up bullet mines in front of him to knock her off balance while delivering powerful strikes to her body wounding her further. Ren lets her get close as the fight is over at this point. Kafka swings her sword as Ren easily dodges her slashes. He strikes her arm to disarm her katana to grab its hilt. In one smooth motion, he manages to slice into her and sever most of it from her shoulder.
Kafka screams in agony as she collapses onto the floor. Her arm is beside Ren as he empowers the bullet to vaporize it. "Did you foresee your defeat?" Gwen also tells him the bombs are ready to blow in 3 minutes. "Well, the 7 minutes are up. You make a good warmup, I hope you like the fireworks," Ren said as he warped out of there with the drone gaining the combat data they needed.
"Damn it, I underestimate that man," Kafka said as Blade comes in to rescue Kafka. "You are late," she said.
"One of the Pathfinders was keeping me busy. Got in a few headshots too," Blade said pointing to his forehead to see his wounds healed rapidly. Blade takes off the blade from her stomach to grab her and warp her out of there before the warehouse explodes.
They appear in a shuttle with Silver Fox surveying the fight. "Gee, that guy was nuts and he wasn't using any energy from the Aeons," Silver Fox said.

The boar unleashes a powerful roar to spread waves of energy to push them back. Releasing a bunch of energy orbs to seek them out. Caelus conjures a flaming shield to block the shots. She electrified her blade fans to get close and slash and cut into its body. She unleashes a powerful electric blast to blow a chunk of metal flesh off its side. The metal boar shoves the Foxian away as it fires a barrage of energy bullets at them.

"Yeah, I wonder if there is more here," Caelus said as they teleported back into the express to rest up.
Elsewhere Gwen is in a cave on the planet of Thanzo 2 having various creatures been transformed into Cogna Units. "How is the testing over?" Alice asked.
"Well, some creatures are better adapted than others. Having them attack the city and boundaries will make them good testing grounds. The crew of the Astral Express has killed one of my test subjects," Gwen said.
"They are in orbit around the planet now. I think you need to send them out and get one of them killed in the process," Alice said.
"Yes, I was thinking about it. I will get on it," Gwen said as she is interested in one of her more powerful experiments. "This will do nicely," Gwen said with a sinster grin on her face.
