"Princess, you almost done sewing yet?" Cat was half-napping on Marinette's chaise. "And done! Thanks for being so patient." "Patience is easy when you get to nap." Marinette rolled her eyes and giggled as she got her sweater from the closet.
"Your so easy to please. All you need is a quiet place, a sunbeam and your content for the afternoon." "You forgot my favorite thing. My food bowl." "Ah, yes. Remind me to make you a bowl in clay class." "Are you really going to make me a bowl?" Cat swung her hand in excitement as they walked to the park. "Make sure it has a paw print on it." "Cat, you do realize your a boy, with catlike powers, don't you?" Cat gave a mock gasp.
"After you, Bugaboo," Cat opened the gate to the park with a small bow. Marinette blushed as she walked past. Cat could be a dork, but at times he could be a perfect….gentle-cat?
But as soon as she thought it, she almost wanted to take the thought back, for just then her partner gave a loud meow. "What are you looking at?" she asked. "Squirrel." Cat's eyes gleamed, and his tail swished, lashing back and forth. Marinette groaned. "Cat, you are way to feeding to chase squirrels. Cat!"
With a leap and bound, Cat was off chasing a squirrel throughout the park. "Dinner, come to Kitty!" Marinette sighed. Why me? "Spots On."
She found Cat staring up into a large oak tree. The squirrel was angrily chattering down at Cat who was now pawing at the tree. "This is not your scratching post and leave the poor squirrel alone! Ow!"
Ladybug grabbed Cat's tail and leaped into the bushes. "That evil squirrel threw an acorn at me!" "Let me see," Cat was all serious as he examined Ladybug's eye. It wasn't serious but Cat gave her a butterfly kiss. "Meow so perfect, Buttercup," she sighed.
"Right! Its on, squirrel! Lucky Charm!" A bag of acorns fell into her hands. "You think he's just hungry?"
They set the acorns out and waited, though Cat still wanted to attack. The squirrel gathered up the acorns then came up to Cat. Then the Squirrel did a curious thing: he stuck out his paw. Cat looked at Ladybug, who nodded and Cat and Squirrel shook paws.
Then with a flick of his tail and re-gathering the acorns the squirrel disappeared into his tree hole.
At dinner that night, when Mama Cheng asked about Marinette eye, Marinette looked at Adrien. "It was certainly no ordinary walk in the park!"
