"Going hang out with M'lady," Adrien skipped along the sidewalk. "Skip, skip, skip to My Bugaboo, skip to my Bugaboo!" Adrien landed in a huge puddle and his ring flew off his finger. Plagg flew out out Adrien's shirt, a smirk on his face. "Oh, you are in trouble!" Plagg sang. Adrien glared. "Plagg, help me find my ring!" Adrien bent down to look, digging through a wet pile of leaves. "I see it! On the grate!"
Adrien gave a cry of joy, and then a more anguished cry when his ring tumbled down the grate. Oh, cheese and crackers this was bad! Adrien peered down into the grate, with a mournful expression on his face. He was so focused, he didn't see Ladybug land near him.
"Hey, love. Whatcha staring at? A mouse?" Adrien froze, slowly looking up. No, no, no! "I um, dropped my ring in the sewer?" Ladybug's happy look slid off her face like raindrops sliding down the windowpane. "You what?" "Well, I was skipping…" "And singing…" Plagg grumbled until Adrien shot him a death glare. "And my ring flew off my finger. It was a accident!"
"Oh, Kitty! I'm going to have Alya hang out with you until I can find the ring." Adrien grinned, despite the situation. "Bugaboo, don't you trust me?" Ladybug gave him a withering look as she texted Alya. "Not with that look I don't."
Ten minutes later, Alya appeared. "Hey! Thanks for helping, Alya!" "Always glad to help Ladybug." "Cat misplaced his ring, so Adrien here graciously agreed to help out." Adrien blushed a cherry red. "Always happy to help." "Scoop! Cat dropped the ring! He must be in so much trouble!" "Yeah, speaking of scoops, how about I buy you an ice cream, Alya." "I'll see you two later," Ladybug said.
"So, why did Ladybug send you? Not that I'm not glad to see you," Adrien said. "Because foxes are clever and sneaky, just like cats." Adrien just had to ask. "Do they like naps?" "Er, I don't know." Eh, he knew cats were better. Show him a sun patch and he'd be snoozing like a kitten in minutes.
"Blueberries and cream! Adrien and Alya together?" Andre asked when they found his ice cream cart. "We're helping Ladybug," Alya explained. "Ah, her ice cream is a thing of legend. Here you go, kids."
Meanwhile down in sewers, Ladybug walked along looking for a small black ring. "Spots Off," she whispered. "Ugh, Marinette what are we doing down here?" Tikki asked, holding her nose. "Someone dropped his ring and now I'm looking for it. Can you help me look?" "You owe me a small chocolate cake." "Done."
The two friends looked everywhere. Marinette looked into the green water and gulped. She bent over and stuck her hands in the water. "I can' believe I'm doing this." Ah, victory!
Now all she wanted to do was take a shower. And she would as soon as she gave the ring back.
"Hey, Ladybug found the ring!" Adrien told Alya. "That's great! I'm glad didn't need my Miraculous after all!"
When Adrien got back to Marinette's, she was waiting with an apron. "Come on, I owe Tikki a cake for helping."
Adrien sighed. He liked helping out, but he wanted to take a nap. He knew in the future though, he'd be a lot more careful where he skipped!
