Adrien walked into the sewing shop. "How much for the pink thimble in the window?" he asked the store clerk. "Ten dollars." Adrien sighed. He knew Marinette had been eyeing it, and had wanted to buy it for her, but he was out of cash. Wait, maybe Mama Cheng had some chores for him to do as Cat. "Maybe I'll be back later today," Adrien told her. "Either way, I'll be back soon."

After transforming, Cat hurried to the bakery. "Hello, Cat," Mama Cheng. "Are you here for a snack?" "Maybe later. Do you have any chores I could do?" Mama Cheng hid a smile. She knew Cat was sweet on her daughter, and he wore that special look. "The laundry is piling up upstairs. Especially the sheets. If you could wash and hang out the laundry I would be willing to pay a little something." "Thanks!"

Cat hurried upstairs, unlocking the apartment door. Sure enough, two baskets of laundry sat waiting in the laundry room. This would be easy, he thought as he put the sheets in the wash. Settling down to wait for the clothes to get done, Cat worked on his Animal Crossing. Half hour later, his phone dinged. Ladybug.

Ladybug: Want to grab a snack?

Cat: Tempting, but I'm busy.

Ladybug: What is your tail up to this time?

Cat: That's a secret. Sh.

Ladybug: When you have secrets, I get worried. \

Cat: Don't you trust me?

Ladybug: Sometimes.

Okay, he could live with that answer.

Cat: Look, I'll text you as soon as I can. Meow you later!

Ah, the sheets were finally done! Cat hummed as pulled the sheets out. But here came the problem: Where in the apartment could he hang them? Wait, Marinette's balcony had a small clothesline.

He hung up the sheets out in the fresh air. He yawned as he fastened the last clothespin. He'd collect the money later, there was a sun patch that was calling his name just inside on Marinette's bed.

Ladybug dashed along the rooftops, not wanting to be late for show about designing was on at three. Thinking she'd take the shortcut, she headed for the balcony. However, since she was in a hurry, she mistimed her jump, and crashed into the sheets!

"Ahh!" she shrieked. Trying as hard as she could, Ladybug couldn't untangle the sheet. Well, at least she could get her to her room….

Cat felt something thump down on the bed, and opened his eyes, only to hiss with fright. A small ghostly creature stood on Marinette's bed! Leaping up, Cat unhooked his baton. "Stay back you savage!"

"Cat, its me!" the ghostly creature said. "Ladybug!" No way was he falling for that trick. "What have you done with My Lady?" "If you could…" The ghostly creature started towards him. Cat backed down the ladder, and the ghostly girl followed him.

"Its to early for Halloween!" This was to much for Cat, who ran downstairs. Ladybug sighed. Cat could be very brave at times, but also very scared!

Cat meanwhile, stuffed cookie after cookie into his mouth. When he was scared, all he wanted to do was eat!

"Cat, please help me!" Cat nearly choked on his cookie with fright, the ghost was heading downstairs! Summoning all his courage, Cat let her come downstairs. "All right, I'll help you. But if you are a ghost, you leave my Princess alone!" "Deal."

Cat slowly removed the sheet to find Ladybug underneath! "M'lady?" "Whew, it was getting hot under there! Thanks, love!" she gave him a kiss. Cat thudded to the floor in a faint. "Cat, love, talk to me!"

Cat slowly opened his eyes. "Thank goodness your not a ghost! I was doing chores for Mama Cheng and I hung the sheets out on the balcony." "I had a mix-up with the sheets and got tangled up. That's why you thought I was a ghost!"

The two best friends looked at each other, and giggled until they were rolling on the floor. Cat would always remember this day, when he thought his lady turned into a ghost!
