The buzzer buzzed as Adrien won the final round of practice match. Kagami was a tough competitor, even if they were friends. "Good match, Adrien," she said, as they headed to the locker room. "You too."

Adrien's stomach growled. Fencing certainly had worked up a appetite. He groaned softly as he unzipped his gym bag, finding Plagg with a happy belly and cheese crumbs littering his bag. "Plagg, do you have enjoy your cheese so you have to spray everywhere? I have to clean the bag, you know."

"My, my. Someone's feeling hangry. If you would let me talk, Marinette left a voicemail inviting you over to make a cozy snack." Adrien blushed, scratching the back of his neck. "Sorry, Plagg. Come on, let's see what cozy snack we're making!"

Adrien was glad for his tan hat and scarf that whipped around in the chill autumn breeze. It was cold out, even if the sun had been shining brightly this morning. In fact, it looked like might rain.

Adrien climbed the stairs to Marinette's apartment, and even before he knocked on the door, his mouth was watering. The snack was something made with chocolate.

"Hey, love. Come on in." "Whatever we're making, I already love it," Adrien grinned, saying hello to Mama and Papa. "Yeah, who doesn't love a brownie! But we're in a bit of a dilemma," Marinette frowned. "What's wrong?" "We wanted to do some sort of animal, but we couldn't decide on which one." "How about a bat?" Adrien suggested. "Halloween is soon, and I'm been seeing bat decorations everywhere." "Great idea!"

Adrien helped measure and mix, swallowing hard as the dusty mix soon became a silky batter of chocolate. "Hey! Paws out of the bowl, Agreste!" Marinette rapped her wooden spoon gently on his hand. "Aw, Princess. Just a little lick?" Marinette sighed. "Fine. One lick."

They poured the the batter into molds and carefully placed them in the oven. "I don't know how I'll be able to stand the wait," Adrien said, eyeing the oven. "What about charades?"

The whole family got involved, and Adrien forgot his hunger for the moment, as he laughed hard at Papa's antics. He was almost sorry when the game ended, and it was time for their cozy snack of bat-shaped brownies with milk.

As Adrien ate, he savored the sweet taste of his treat. Yet more sweeter then the brownie, was time with Marinette's family as the rain pattered gently on the roof. Sweet memories and brownies were made at the Dupain-Cheng residence that day, and either Marinette's or Adrien would forget this day.
