"Ready to go fishing and buying me a new drink from Starbucks?" I smile at Adrien when he enters the room. "The question is Bugaboo, are you ready to buy me a drink?" "Good thing I planted a distraction," I laugh as Adrien's eyes light up at my plate of freshly baked cookies and two cold glasses of milk.
I have the Animal Crossing game, and now that Adrien and I have a bit more free time on our hands this week, we've been building our islands. Today happens to be the fishing tourney on mine.
"Arrgh," Adrien peeks through his fingers when he sees Tom Nook. "I swear, that raccoon can see into my soul." "What did you do to him? Did you give him a hairball?" "No, but my vanity is expensive, Bugaboo. So, I took out a loan." "You need to be more frugal like me. I mean, sleeping in my tent isn't that bad." Adrien stares open-mouthed at me, as we start fishing. "Love, I'm not sure using my credit card to buy your Starbucks is frugal." I squirm. "Okay, maybe not that, but other things."
"Ha! I win! Wait, you weren't even trying!" "Hm?" I look over to see my boyfriend with chocolate all over his face. "What, I like your cookies. Is that a crime?" "No. But that means Starbucks is on you tomorrow!" "Fine. I need to snooze off the carbs. Claws Out."
"Okay, you can take a short nap, and then we're going for a walk in the park. They put up some really pretty lights for fall." "Yes, M'lady."
Cat curled up and was asleep in minutes. Little did he know he was about to meet Tom Nook in his dream…..
Were am I? Cat sat up from underneath the apple tree to see two round eyes and black masks staring at him. "Hey, if your here to rob me, I got nothing but my baton." "We only came to welcome you, Cat Noir! Welcome, welcome!" Cat rubbed his eyes. "Hey, is this…" he pointed a finger at the two raccoon. "Are you Timmy and Tommy?" "Yes, yes!" "Oh, boy! I owe your Uncle a lot of Bells!" "You can earn money by fishing or catching bugs," Timmy helped. "Or pulling weeds!" Tommy chimed in. "Um, okay. Hey, who's that?"
A rabbit in a tracksuit came running by. "Hey, you look fit! Want to jog with me? Name's Snake, by the way!" I just ate half a plate of cookies and your asking me to jog? Cat was about to decline, when he saw his landlord: Tom Nook! "Yeah, let's go!" Cat half-heartily cheered. He didn't want to be caught by Tom Nook!
Cat slumped down later, spent from his jog. Why was it so hot here? He wanted to play in Marinette's tub with his army of rubber ducks!
"Lemonade helps parched lips and sweaty brows," a deep voice said. "Thanks! Arrgh!" It was Tom Nook himself! "I, you, I owe money!" "Oh, we can talk about that later," the raccoon said with a wave of a paw. "Come on, I'll treat you to lunch."
Tom laughed as Cat told another pun. "Tell you what, Cat. I'll cancel your debit if you put an on a show tonight!" Cat grasped at his chance. "I'm your guy!"
Cat paced back and forth in back of the stage. He peeked through the curtain, groaning. How long could Blathers go on? He'd been on for twenty minutes! And Cat thought he liked to talk.
At last it was Cat's turn, but when he got onstage, he froze! For in the front row sat the beautiful Ladybug! But Cat soon relaxed and had the crowd soon laughing (and Blathers hooting).
Flowers were tossed on stage, and what were this shiny things? Bells….
"Cat? Time to go," Marinette said gently, as Cat opened his eyes. "Oh, Princess! I had the most wonderful dream about Tom Nook!"
"Oh, Cat. Come on, you can tell me all about when we walk to the park." Cat chatted to Marinette all about his dream and when he got home that night, he worked hard to pay off his debt!
