"Cat," Ladybug giggled as she wheeled the wheelbarrow into the garden. "I don't think that's how you pick pumpkins." Cat was laying out in the sun, on a crunchy pile of leaves. "I know, Bugaboo. But it was time for hourly nap in the sun." "Hourly?" Ladybug lay down beside him, ruffling his buttercup colored hair. "Oh, well. I suppose I should let you enjoy it before Old Man Winter comes knocking at the door." She pressed a kiss into his hair, it smelled like sunshine. "Ladybug? Could you read a story before I take a snooze?" "I thought we were picking the pumpkins today." "We will. After a nap and a story."

"Okay, I'll have to get one from the house, but I think I know just the one." It was a adventure book and the couple still had yet to read or even open it….

"You ready, Kitty?" Ladybug asked when she came back out. "Ready." "All right, once a upon a time…." Zap! Ladybug had only just started the story when they were transported inside the book!

"When I asked for adventure, this wasn't the kind I meant…." Ladybug said, looking up at the tall grass and flowers towering above her head. "Did we shrink?" Cat asked. "Looks like it. Let's see if we can find someone to tell us where we are."

But there was no one about, so Ladybug and Cat set off on the path, only to be stopped by some flowers. Ladybug was about to push her way forward when suddenly the flower talked! "Excuse me, those are my petals!" "Oh, my!" Ladybug gasped. The flowers talked?! "My, my, these two have never seen a talking flower before. Don't be scared. My name is Violet." "I'm Ladybug and this is Cat. Can you tell us where we are?" "Why, your in Garden Land." "How do we get back home?" Cat asked. "Follow the trail and the clues, and soon you'll be back to normal!" "Thank you!" Ladybug called, and the flowers smiled clearing away for the tiny travelers.

"I hope everybody is nice as the flowers, Kitty," Ladybug said, taking his hand. Cat held a finger to his lips. "M'lady, do you hear crying?" Ladybug held her breath and listened. She could hear a muffled sound, then lifted her foot now covered with mud. "Faintly. I think someone's crying. Let's see if we can help."

"L-Ladybug!" Cat stopped on the trail, his normally handsome face a ashen color. "Why'd you stop! Eek-" Cat clapped a hand over his partner's mouth for there above them was a giant spider! "Go ahead, scream. I know your afraid of me. That's why I have no friends."

Ladybug sucked up her courage, after all she was a compassionate person. "Please. Tell us what's wrong. Maybe we can help." "I want to sell my silk to the local fairies, but their all afraid of me!" "You gave us a start, but we'll be your friends. I might not be a fairy, but I'd buy some of your silk. I'm a designer." "Oh, Miss Ladybug, you are to kind! And your partner is as cute as a cat's whisker!" Ladybug giggled, and pulled out her purse. "Oh no, you already paid me. You paid me in kindness." Ladybug admired the silky silk and a thought came to her mind. "If we can get the fairies to be your friends, will show us how to get home?" "I'd be honored. Now, pardon me, I have a fly to catch. You can find the fairy homes on the other side of the hill. It will be about teatime, so they all should be home."

The duo crested the hill, and you could smell the scones being baked, and Cat's mouth started to water. The pair walked up to the house in the middle and knocked on the door. "Coming!" a perky voice called then opened the door. A beautiful fairy with green wings greeted them with a smile on her face. "Visitors! Come in, come in! The tea's ready so come and sit down!" The kitchen was tiny, but yet cozy. "My name is Mint, by the way. I don't think I've seen a ladybug or a black cat for quite some time!" The pair introduced themselves as Mint poured the tea. "We're not from around here, but its beautiful here."

Mint passed the scones around. "Expect for that awful spider, Aria! Ugh!" Cat looked up from slathering cream on his scone. "Why, is she evil?" "She's a spider!" "I think you should give her a chance." Ladybug said. Mint scowled, her wings flapping. "Why should I?" Ladybug looked around, the answer in front of her. "Because, she's very sweet and she sells her silk?" "Silk?" Mint echoed, looking interested. "I take it your a weaver by the spinning wheel in the corner." "Yes, I am. To tell you the truth, Ladybug, I'm also looking for a friend." Cat and Ladybug looked at each other.

"The other fairies are all about themselves. But I want to talk to someone who loves art and designing as much as me." "I think," Cat said, slowly, "Aria would be the perfect friend for you. It can be hard to branch out and make new friends, but the end result is almost always sweet."

Ladybug laughed. "As sweet as all the jelly and cream on your face? Come here, I'll wipe your face." "Would you come with me?" Mint asked. "Of course! But may we finish our tea first? I've never had such fine tea and scones!"

Aria was were they had left her. Mint cleared her throat and Ladybug nodded and smiled at her. "Aria? My name is Mint and I'm looking for a friend."

In no time, fairy and spider where both chatting happily. "Um, Aria? How do we get home?" "Like this!" Mint waved her magical wand and the portal opened. "But how?" Cat asked. "When you make a new friend, my wand is filled with a magical wish and I grant you the wish to go home."

Zap!

Ladybug shut the book, and looked at her partner. "Did we really just travel to another land?" But as usual, there was no answer from her partner, for a cozy pile of leaves, warm sun and his Bugaboo beside him, had Cat dozing in no time.
