"Alya, no!" Alya froze, turning to Marinette with a stack of posters in her hands. "Marinette, I need to put these up, or no one will know about the bake sale." "Shh! Keep your voice down. Who has irresistible green eyes, and a sweet tooth as big as Paris?" "I'd say your Kwami, but she has blue eyes. Who?" "Cat!" "Ohhh," Alya said. "If he finds out about the sale, he'll want to eat everything in sight!"

"Girl, you need to be firm. And don't worry, I'll help. Maybe we can get him to pass out fliers."

"Can I please lick the bowl?" Marinette sighed. "For the hundredth time no, but could turn the oven to 425?" Cat did so. "Why are you baking so much anyway?" Marinette sighed. "Your sad, that's why your baking sweets. Comfort food." "How about you go take a nap, and I'll be up in a bit?" "Okay. But save me a treat."

Cat trotted upstairs and stopped. It wasn't like his Princess not to answer his questions. What was going on? He detransformed and his phone dinged with a message from Nino.

Nino: Dude! Don't forget the bake sale this weekend! All proceeds will go to the fall dance!

Adrien: Thanks for telling me! Later!

Oh, so that's why Marinette was acting strange. She thought he would eat all the food, or at least get his hands on it. Well, he would get one muffin or the other if it was the last thing he did!

"Cat?" Marinette's voice floated up from downstairs. "I'm running downstairs for some milk. Be good!"

"Claws Out. Okay!" He yawned, time for napping, and serious plotting.

The day of the bake sale, Marinette was glad to get a ride to the short drive to school. Since she and Alya were on the planning committee they had gotten their early.

"Marinette? Agreste alert!" Alya pointed. "Hey, anything I can do to help?" "We do need someone to pass out more fliers." "Great." "Wearing a giant croissant." "Excuse me?" "Yeah, you know, bake sale, croissants…" "Okay, but you owe me, Marinette." "What, a kiss?" she chirped brightly, then clapped a hand over her mouth. "Kisses are good. Got any Hersey's kisses?" "Here's the fliers. Go."

Adrien shook with silent laughter, he would be good for awhile, and then he'd put his plan to action.

It took two hours for Adrien to pass out the fliers, and he was dying for some milk. Nino was in charge of the Moo Booth. "Hey, dude. What are you wearing?" "Don' ask. Can I have a big glass of milk?" "Sure."

Adrien drank his milk thirsty. Time to get to work.

He transformed in the bathroom, and walked into the hall, crowded with students. Time for sleath mode. He sneaked from table to table, hiding when a group of girl fans ran up to him squealing.

Whew, that was close. Was his tail tucked in? Yep.

He peeked to see how close Marinette's booth was. Okay, it was a ways away. But that towering tower of chocolate cupcakes was calling his name.

"Marinette?" "Hm?" Marinette looked up from handing a boy his change. "Is that Cat Noir?" Marinette peered at where Alya was pointing. She could see his tail from beneath a table. "Uh-oh. I better save Operation: Cupcake."

She ducked into the bathroom to transform, then used her own method of sneaking around until she rolled under to the same table as Cat. "Hey, Kitty." "Hey, M'lady. Ladybug?!" "Cat, what are you up to?" "I want a cupcake." "Well, snatching one Ninja style will only make Marinette mad. Would you like me to buy you a cupcake?" Cat nodded.

They almost got tangled in the tablecloth, but they were used to such happenings. "Two cupcakes, please."Ladybug said to Alya.

"Thanks, Ladybug." He pulled her close. "Marinette, would you like to go to the fall dance with me?" "You bet your cupcakes I do. Oh, cracker crumbs…." she turned a bright red color. "Good. Now, I shall take my muffin and take my leave."

Whew. The bake sale was safe, and Ladybug had a date. She would start planning her autumn attire as soon as she got home and gave her cat a stern talking to.
