Peridot slept soundly in Amethyst's bed, curled up next to her. She finally looks like she's found some peace. Amethyst slowly untangled herself from Peridot, careful not to disturb her, and walked towards the door, making her way towards the Warp Pad. She needs a little piece of home, and I know just the thing for her. I just have to find it.

The warp lifted her into the sky, delivering her to the Galaxy Warp. She walked across the large platform to the edge and dove off, shapeshifting into an anglerfish on her way down. The water rippled as she landed, and she darted quickly, lighting up the area around her as she searched. They have to be here somewhere. Man, this lake is deeper than I thought. She sunk deeper into the water, starting to feel that her search might be fruitless until she spotted a flash of green out of the corner of her eye. There it is! She darted towards it, grasping the object in her teeth gently and racing for the surface. She shifted into a bird and flew back up towards the platform, tossing the object onto the rock with her beak. She shifted back to her normal self, panting slightly.

"I found her other foot. Now to go back for the rest of it... This is gonna take me forever. But she's worth it." She dove back into the water, determined to keep going and find the rest of the pieces of Peridot's limb enhancers. Hours passed, and she made trip after trip, delicately laying the pieces of her limb enhancers on the platform before diving back into the dark water below.

Amethyst flopped tiredly onto the platform of the Galaxy Warp, the last piece of the limb enhancers in her hand. She stared up at the sky for a moment, then shot straight up, realizing how much time had passed since she'd left. Peridot has to be awake by now. And she's probably freaking out about me being gone. She gathered up the pieces in her arms and walked back to the Galaxy Warp, reappearing in the temple shortly to find Garnet and Pearl sitting together on the couch.

"Hey guys, have either of you seen Peridot yet today?" She asked.

"No, I don't think so," Pearl answered. "What's all that?"

"Peridot's extra feet. I thought she'd want a piece of Homeworld. Y'know, 'cause she can never go back and all that."

"That's so sweet of you. I'm sure she'll love them." Garnet gave her a knowing grin. "I don't know where she is though."

"Well if you haven't seen her then she's probably still in my room."

"Damn, Amethyst, you sly dog." Garnet teased.

"Hey, it's not like that! Well, not yet at least." She blushed lightly, shifting her gaze away from Garnet. "Anyways, I'm gonna go look for her. I'll see you two later." She walked into the kitchen and grabbed an old grocery bag, setting the limb enhancers inside it and leaving them on the counter for a moment, darting up the stairs to Steven's room.

"Hey, Steven? Do you still have Peridot's foot?"

"Uh, yeah, I do. Why?"

"Can I have it? I got the rest of them to give back to her."

"Aww, that's cute! Sure, I got it right here." He paused his video game and pulled the foot out of his dresser drawer, passing it to her. "Good luck! I'm sure she'll love having those back."

"Thanks, Steven!" She made her way back down the stairs and placed the other foot in the bag, then walked to her room and phased open the door to find Peridot sitting in her bed.

"You're here." She grinned. "I was starting to wonder if you were gonna come back."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that. It took way longer than I meant to. I went on a little solo mission and got way too focused on it."

"Oh, okay. What was your mission?"

"Well, I brought you back something." Amethyst sat beside her and passed her the bag.

"Ooh, really?" Peridot opened the bag excitedly, gasping in surprise as she pulled her limb enhancers out. "My limb enhancers! I- I thought these were gone forever! How did you find them?"

"I dug them out of the ocean. Let's just say I don't think I wanna go swimming again for a while."

Peridot threw her arms around her, hugging her tightly. "Amethyst, this was exactly what I needed, and I didn't even know it. Thank you so much. You're the best girlfriend ever."

"Well, I was sorta hoping I'd be your only girlfriend." Amethyst laughed softly, hugging her back.

"Oh, you know what I mean. But really, I appreciate this."

"So, are you gonna put them on?"

"Would you be upset if I didn't? I kinda wanna just keep them to look at. I'm not a Homeworld Gem anymore, I don't really need them. Plus I like being in the shortie squad with you and Steven."

"Not at all. I just wanted them to make you happy, and if that's how they'll make you happy, then I'm totally okay with it."

"This is the happiest I've been in a long time."
