Chapter 3

Harry POV:

The entire house was silent as everyone stood there pondering what transpired before our eyes. Who was this, Percy Jackson? It's starting to seem more and more plausible he could actually be a son of Poseidon. Looking around everyone seems scared. Just this mourning all of us were ignorant to whatever this new world has to offer, and our only worries have to do with school, work, ministry, and the war with Voldemort. Now with this new Percy fellow it seems we don't know as much of this world as we originally thought.

"Well, that was certainly interesting…" Sirius said finally in order to diffuse the tension that has been building since Dumbledore told us the story about the winged man of death. With a couple of grateful smiles and a few glares at his attempt at humor.

"Well, that was certainly interesting indeed. Off to bed all of you it seems we may have a guest." Dumbledore spoke with mirth in his voice and his eyes twinkling.

Days went by as each of us continued to clean up the house on Mrs. Weasleys orders. All of us skirting around the subject of Percy knowing no one had answers until late one night when a shudder went throughout the house and making all magical artifacts almost Humm with excitement. A wave of existential dread and unease crept into everyone's minds followed by three strong thuds on the front door. Immediately all the Order members that were present pulled out their wands and crept towards the door. Once Mrs. Weasley opened the door all the adults found themselves pointing their wands at a familiar sea green eyed demigod standing in the door way.

"Whoa is this how all of you introduce yourselves? Pointing sticks in peoples faces?" Percy said with a lopsided grin that immediately stopped the feeling of unease that was plaguing us all to the relief to the mortals present.

"Come in, Come in. I was just fixing dinner." Mrs. Weasley said to Percy as all the Wizards put away their wands though some were still wary of Percy.

"Huh, that's weird I never took into account time differences… I was just about to eat dinner before Hecate whisked me away…" Spoke Percy in a thoughtful tone. "That might be a problem with me going home every day… Oh well I'll figure it out." Percy strode into Grimmauld Place despite Fidelius' charm, it's depressing environment and house elf heads on the walls.

"Nico would love this place" Percy chuckled underneath his breath though with the quite atmosphere everyone heard it.

Soon everyone was seated around the table which was a hard thing to do since once Dumbledore was notified, he called an emergency meeting with the Order, and Percy which was scheduled after dinner. Reading the tense room Percy kept on making jokes attempting to lighten the mood however futile it was since everyone kept on seeing Percy talk back against a literal goddess without batting an eye.

"So, Remus, is it? What is your brother's name? Romulus? You know I know people who would think your name is sacrilegious." Percy commented to Professor Lupin.

"What? Who would… Oh." Lupin said towards Percy. Hermione perking up from her intense studying of Percy, as if he will uncover the secrets of the world, asked "Who would find it sacrilegious?"

"Romans" was the only reply that came out of Percy before he dug into the food put Infront of his face.

"Wait Roman gods exist? I thought Hecate is Greek?" Hermione asked, getting into her usual hunger for knowledge.

"She is." Percy said back at the same time Ron asked, "What's are Romans?"

Hermione, clearly annoyed at Ron, answered him. "I'm assuming you are asking what the Roman religion is since you know what Rome is since Professor Binns has taught us about Roman Witches." With a nod from Ron clearly regretting asking that question Hermione continued. "Romain belief states that Romulus and Remus were twin brothers of a She-wolf and after Romulus killed Remus, he became the father of Rome. Which is ironic that Lupin is named Remus since he is a were…" Hermione stopped there clearly realizing she was about to spill Remus's secret.

"It's okay, though looking back on it my name does fit me being a…" Remus stopped and studied Percy's face before continuing "werewolf and all that." Percy just stared at Remus without fear in his eyes and threw his head back and laughed to the utter surprise of everyone.

"You mean a werewolf is named Remus Lupin? Little on the nose, isn't it?" Percy asked nearly crying from laughing.

"Yes, yes. It's quite funny. But not funnier than a man named Perseus being a child of Poseidon." Remus remarked back.

"What can I say. I'm just grateful I'm not. Plus, my name isn't Perseus its Percy. Only gods and monsters call me by my full name."

Once everyone was done with dinner Mrs. Weasley began to usher the kids upstairs much to their protest. Then a voice that for most of the night was spent in a joking tone turned serious. "You know Mrs. Weasley while I applaud your attempt to protect them from harm. However, war does not care how old you are. Those kids are going to find themselves in the middle of this battle whether you like it or not. The second that monster came back from the dead it doomed all your kids to a life of a solider and soldiers need weapons to survive. Knowledge is a weapon all on its own. So, if you want your kids to survive this war let them stay." Everyone knew he was speaking from experience which caused all their blood to run cold. Just how long has this kid been fighting?

Dumbledore looked thoughtful before stopping Mrs. Weasley from protesting against what Percy critiqued her about. "Mr. Jackson it sounds like you have experience."

"You could say that. I will tell them everything if you don't let them stay. They need to know the truth for them to live through this war." Percy spoke clearly glancing at Mrs. Weasley then towards Dumbledore.

"Alright they can stay." Dumbledore said towards Percy much to the protest of Mrs. Weasley and the amusement of Sirius. "What do you offer to the Order Percy, and do you have any conditions?" the headmaster asked the man in question.

"It seems to me that I handled myself against a couple of your order members just fine and I'm pretty sure you stuck with me. My conditions are I want my own place to study and train in. I will not be a student and I want to train Harry." Percy said immediately.

"What are you going to train Harry to do?" Dumbledore asked Percy.

"How to be a hero. It's something I wish someone could do for me a long time ago. I know how it is to be pushed in the middle of a war that took family members, to be famous or infamous for something I had no control over. To be the center of attention for your inter world, to be studied and judged by those who do not know you nor care. To have to fight a being that seems to not be capable being stopped and all the while putting a smile on your face so those that depend on me and those who judge me can not see weakness."

Dumbledore sighed "Alright Mr. Jackson if I or another member of the order can check in on your training occasionally. As well as you will train young Ms. Granger and Mr. Weasley with them being to of Harry's closest friends."

"Alright as long as you through in all the Weasley children who still go to Hogwarts along with anyone I see fit." Percy said back.

"Careful I might just make you a teacher." Dumbledore said in amusement.

"I haven't had the best track record with teachers, so I'll pass. So, it's a deal?" asked Percy.

"Alright Mr. Jackson I'll have you be the Grounds Keeper for Hogwarts."
