Every day since the twins were born I would take them with me to go see Lucas and every time the nurse would tell me what Rachel did that he was okay physically, but still no signs of him waking up. Month after month the twins would grow and I would be so happy to see it, there first laugh, them sitting up on their own for the first time, them crawling, their first birthday and of course them taking their first steps. It was all so magical and as a first time parent so emotional. I captured all these moments so when Like wakes up he can see.

Of course it won't be the same, but at least it's something.

Now 2 years later and the twins are walking and talking. I take the twins up to see Lucas like I usually did every morning. We walk in and they run to his side. Wynter climbs up on the chair beside his bed and then onto the bed with him like she did since she could and Wyatt climbs on the other chair on the side of Lucas and then onto the bed beside him too.

"Mama" Wynter says turning to me "Dada wake up"

"Not yet baby" I reply sitting in the chair beside his bed "Morning Luke, we're here again" I take his hand in mine "the twins are growing so fast and so much. It's been a crazy ride and I hope you wake soon to share the rest of it with us"

"Dada" Wyatt says "wakey wakey" that made me laugh a little as tears formed in my eyes "Dada"

And then I saw it. I saw his fingers move slowly, but he did it. My heart hammered against my chest and the twins looks back at me. What did this mean? and then he did it again, but more this time. His hand moved.

"Lucas" I call out to him "Luke can you hear me?" I'm not sure if he can, if he even could all this time, but I really hope he can now "follow my voice Luke and wake up for me please. For us" I kiss his forehead and see his eyes blink open.

Oh my god he was awake. I press the nurses bell and see Angela walk in "his awake" I inform her "come on you two get down so the nurse can get to Daddy" the twins did as I ask and Wyatt runs around to me.

As Angela was checking Lucas out I call everyone so they know what is happening.

"His signs are all okay Brooke" Angela tells me "welcome back to the world Lucas" I look from her to him and his eyes were fully open now.

"Brooke" hearing him call my name after all these years brings tears to my eyes. He was awake finally he was here with us again "Brooke is that you?"

I stood up and stood next to the bed looking down at him "Yes Luke its me"

Angela took the twins out into the hall and waited for Karen to get them. I wanted Luke to know he has two kids, but he has just woken up and that could be a lot of him. I mean I don't even know if he heard me half the time.

I sat on his bed up and gave him some water as he was thirsty. I sat back down in the chair just staring at him. He was awake.

"I've missed you" I whisper hoping he could hear me as a tear fell down my cheek "Oh Luke I was so scared that you wouldn't wake up"

"I'm sorry Brooke" he says "I didn't mean to scare you like this"

"Oh Luke it's okay, you're back now. Everyone is going to be so excited to see you"

"What happened Brooke?" He asks "I remember being hit by that drunk driver and coming here, but then everything went black. How long have I been out?"

"You went for surgery and didn't wake up. The doctor said you slipped into a coma. He said you might have done that for your body to heal quicker or something, but they didn't think you'd take this long to wake up" I tell him "it's been almost two years"

"Two years?" I nod "I've missed out on 2 years of my life?" I nod again "Oh man"

"We've all missed you so much. I have called everyone they will be here soon"

"Wait" he says looking to me "have you been coming to visit all this time?"

I nod "of course I have Luke"

"But what about New York and your clothing line and your dreams?"

"I have my clothing line, I did that. My dream came true" I tell him "I sold our apartment in New York and moved to Tree Hill. Your half is in your account by the way, but yeah I moved here because you were here Luke and I didn't want to do New York without you"

"Brooke I'm sorry" he says "but you really didn't have to move back here"

"I did" I nod "I moved back into my old childhood home and Peyton lives with me too. I couldn't be in New York knowing you were here like this"

There was a knock at the door and one by one everyone came in to see him. We were all so happy he had woken up. Karen told me that she will take the twins with her, but I shook my head and asked if she could wait on for a little longer so I can tell Lucas about them. She agreed.

"What's wrong?" Lucas asks seeing the worried look on my face.

I wanted to tell him so bad, but my heart was beating super fast and my palms began getting sweaty.

"Brooke what is it?" He sounded worried now

"Remember back in New York before you came to Tree Hill and there was that party and we were both super drunk and"

"And we slept together" I look up at him. He remembers "Yes I remember, very well actually. Oh we never got to speak about it did we or what it meant" I shake my head "do you want to speak about it now?"

"I don't want to put that on you just yet, but I do need to tell you something"

"Okay"

"After you left I wasn't feeling so good and I thought I had food poising or something, but it never passed and then I thought back to us and that night and I hadn't had a period in weeks"

"Wait what?"

"So I went to the drug store and got like three tests and they were all positive" I looked up at him and he was staring back at me "It was positive and I was so scared at the time because I didn't know what to do and I tried calling you, but then Karen called me back and said you were in an accident and I was even more scared that I was going to lose you"

"So wait" he says cutting me off "you were pregnant?" I nod "did you, I mean are we, wait did you have the baby?"

"Actually turned out there were two"

"his eyes widened "Twins? We were having twins?" I nod "So you had them?" I nod again "So I have two babies"

"Yeah" he's eyes lit up making my heart warm "I know you've missed a lot Luke and their not babies anymore, but I filmed everything for you to see, but you woke up and can see everything else and be there for them"

"We have twins Brooke" I laugh nodding "together, me and you"

"I know it's crazy huh" I reply "who would have thought"

"Do you wanna talk about us before anything else comes?"

"Do you? Do you wanna talk about us?" He nods "okay let's talk"

"I knew you were visiting me Brooke, I could feel your presence every day. The warmth and love I knew it was you somehow and I could hear you. Not everything you were saying, but I'd mostly figure it out" he tells me "we've been friends for the longest time and we've been through so much crap over the years. Boyfriends and girlfriends and dad's leaving and parents not being there and we never left each others side"

"I know why and I think I've always known deep down, but I didn't want to ruin anything. You are my best friend and I didn't want to ruin that. Our friendship means the world to me and I didn't want anything to come between that. Everyone that saw us together would think we were a couple and I liked that to a point where I developed romantic feelings for you. So that night when we were drunk and playing those high school games and Henry dared me to kiss you, I took that as my chance to do what I've always wanted to do, but was too scared to change the dynamic of our relationship"

"I've loved you since the moment we met Luke" I jump in not able to contain myself after hearing him say all that "but we became friends first and built such a beautiful foundation to our friendship and seeing each other with other people probably killed us inside, but we got pass it and everyone and ended here together with two babies" he smiled at me melting my heart "I found out I was pregnant and I wanted to tell you so bad that we created life together. I wanted to tell you how I truly felt"

"I honestly love you Brooke" He says and a tear again falls down my cheek "I have for a long time and I'm sorry its taken me so long to tell you"

"I'm sorry too" I lean down and place a soft kiss to his lips "So what happens now?"

"Do you wanna try this out?" He asks pointing between the two of us "like prope"

"You mean boyfriend and girlfriend stuff?" He nods "I mean yeah of course" he smiles back at me and pulls me into a kiss.

"Can I meet the twins?" He asks as we pull apart.

I laugh "of course you can. Their outside with your mom" I go to the door and call the twins in. They come running in and stop at the bed. They look up at Lucas and smiles form on their faces "Lucas meet Wynter and Wyatt Davis Scott"

"Dada" They both say at the same time.

"Okay move slowly because Daddy is awake now." I tell them. They nod and climb up on the chair and then the bed like before.

"Hi" Lucas says first "Brooke you've done such a good job"

Thanks Luke" I take my phone out and snap this memory. The day Lucas woke up.

After a few hours of Lucas just holding the twins as they cuddled up to him and him put on Sherk for them. It was there favourite movie. That is what we were missing. Family time and I'm so glad we now have this time to catch up.

Lucas waking up has made my life so much more.

I got the twins home and made them dinner and then bathed both of them before tucking them in.

"Dad come with us?" Wyatt asks as I sit on his bed to tuck him in.

"I'm not too sure yet sweetie" I reply actually not knowing. Me and Lucas only just made it official. I mean he has just woken up and found out we have children together. I don't wanna push him into moving in with us.

"But we see dada morrow?" I turn to Wynter and give her a smile.

"Of course we can" I kiss Wyatt on the cheek and then go over to Wynter "I don't think daddy will ever not want to see you guys. He loves you just as much as mommy does"

"Forever and ever"

"Forever and ever" I kiss Wynter on the cheek and then head out of their room leaving the night light on so they can fall to sleep.

"So have you and Luke spoke about your situation? " Peyton says from behind me.

I nod "yeah we did. And we both now officially know how we feel about each other and he asked me to. Be his girlfriend" in my head I was jumping up and down feeling like that teenage girl.

"Oh that's great Brooke. I'm so happy for you guys"

"Thanks Peyt"

"Wanna eat some ice-cream and watch scary movies"

"Count me in Sawyer, you grab the goodies and I'll choose a movie"

"Deal" she smiles and we head downstairs.

I felt my bed bouncing which woke me up. I slowly open my eyes and see the twins jumping on my bed. I quickly grab them both and pull them under the covers with me hearing shrieks and then laugher as I hugged them tight.

"Mommy" they both laughed "Mooooommmmyyyy" I kissed them both and pulled back the covers.

"You guys are up too early" I shake my head "should we go get some breakfast" they nod and jump off of the bed and run out of my room. I could hear their foot steps patter against the hard wooden floor "be careful" I shout back grabbing my robe and following them down to the kitchen.

"Aunt Peyton" they both yell stopping at the island "We have pancakes too"

"Strawberry and banana" Peyton replies and they both nod "anything for my god children. Morning Davis"

"Morning Sawyer" I walk over to the coffee machine.

"Here" She hands me a cup of coffee "I sent the twins up to wake you"

I grumble and narrow my eyes at her "it's half 8, they were up and I have to head to Jakes. We are going house shopping"

"Wait what" I turn to face her "you're moving out?"

She nods slowly "We both know this arrangement wasn't going to last forever. Lucas is awake now and soon hell leave the hospital and you can get what you've always wanted a family. A happy family"

"Lucas might not even want that, you don't have to go"

"Oh Lucas wants that. We both know that Davis" she laughs "and besides it won't be far, we are staying in tree hill Brookie. I wouldn't leave. I wouldn't leave you and the twins, but me and Jake are taking the next step. Be happy for me"

"Of course I'm happy for you Sawyer. I'm just gonna miss you and the time we share together" I admit "thank you for moving back here with me and moving in with me and helping me through everything"

"I wouldn't have changed anything. It was definitely my pleasure Brooke"

Peyton has been a god send, an angel from above, my hero. She has helped me through everything. She has been there through everything and I'm gonna miss her and I think the twins will too, but she was right. Lucas was awake now and he might want to stay with the twins and I, he might not, but she and Jake are taking the next step and I am so happy for her. She's has been wanting that seriousness from him and she has finally got it.

"I want to know all the details of every house viewing and if Jake can't make it, call me and I will be there" I tell her.

"That's a deal" she replies "Oh munchkins Auntie Peyton has to go see Uncle Jakey so I will see you two beauts later okay"

"Me go too" Wynter asks doing her puppy eyes at Peyton.

Peyton looked from Wynter to me "is that okay. I know you usually go see Luke. I can take her with me and bring her to the hospital later if you want"

"I'm actually going into the office later today, but if you don't mind taking her with you then sure" I reply "just drop her off at the office later if that's okay"

Peyton nodded "okay Winnie let's go grab your jacket and your shoes" Peyton followed her. I heard Peyton say something and then the front door opened and shut.
