No matter what they had tried, it only grew worse and worse. Olivia did her best to comfort her brother before being struck with an idea.

"Why don't we ask Sharon? She knows everybody who enters her store, so she would know if you had a run-in with a skeleton curse!"

"If...if you say so..."

She gently grabbed his wrist. "Come on. Stand up please."

"I'm not sure if I can..."

"Olly...please try?"

Olivia's assumption was correct, and he no longer had flesh (or clothing, as it had burned away with the rest of him) at about noon. King Olly had decided to give up and lie on the ground forever.

"I'll help you, okay? Don't be all depressed about this! Look on the bright side of this!"

"What bright side is there?"

She thought for a moment. "For starters...you can't die! You don't have any organs anymore!" She stuck her arm through the space between his rib cage and pelvis bone. She poked his spine, causing him to flinch.

"Livi, stop that."

"Get up and make me." She poked his spine again.

"Livi," he said more sternly. "I mean it. Stop that."

"Then get up!" She poked him three more times.

He sat up, clenching her wrist. He released it, and she backed away from him a bit.

"Olly? Are you okay? You seem a little on-edge."

He ran his hands through his bangs; as he still had his hair. "I don't know. I don't even know if this'll kill me or not. I just...I just want some knowledge that I'll be okay and this'll turn out fine..."

"Well, it won't unless we do something. So come on, we'll talk to Sharon, okay?" She held out her hand to him.

"Okay..." He accepted her hand and stood.

He stumbled a bit, then straightened his stance. She walked upstairs, King Olly following. They went to the coffee shop to find Sharon cleaning of the counter.

"Hello there! Sorry to say this, but we're closing now." She didn't turn around when they entered.

"Sharon," King Olly began, clearing his throat. "Can I talk to you?"

She stopped cleaning. "Did I do something wrong?"

"It's hard to explain. Just turn around."

She screamed when she saw him. "What the-?! King Olly?!"

"Is it really that terrifying?" He asked, tilting his head. "I'm actually getting used to it rather quickly."

"Oh," she sighed, relived. "It is you, and you're okay."

"So," Olivia started, "we were wondering...Why's my brother a skeleton for?"

"Huh?"

"Livi!" King Olly snapped. "Why are you talking to her like she had possibly done this to me? She a Toad! No offence."

"No, no. I'm with you." She rubbed the back of her head. "Why do you think I'd done this?"

"That's not what I..." Olivia sighed. "I meant, do you know why Olly's like this."

"Ohh..." She shook her head. "But this raises a question."

"Yeah, why are you closing at noon?" King Olly interrupted.

"For the Halloween party later! But my question is, have you possibly ticked anyone off recently? It seems like you're cursed."

He ran his hands through his hair. "Cruuuuuuuuud...I think I know who. But, ah, I don't know her name or where she lives!"

"Wait, was she the person you-"

"YES. And I don't want you to say a word. That was super embarrassing."

"Okay, okay. But I know where she lives. I had to deliver a few drinks to her already."

"Thank Bibliofolds."

"Her name is Suki. Knock on the door and ask for a Suki and Suki's friend or roommate or whatever will let you in." Sharon explained.

Night had already begun to fall as they approached. Sharon explained that she'll have to leave when she dropped them off. She had taken them in her kart.

"Thank you. A thousand times..." King Olly couldn't keep eye contact with her. "i don't feel well..."

"But you're a skeleton?" Olivia mentioned.

"We should hurry...I don't like this feeling or this place." He stumbled when he exited her kart. Olivia steadied him.

"Maybe you're right. We should hurry." She helped him walk to the door, and she knocked on it. "Hello?" She put her face up to the peephole. "Yoohoo! You have some guests!"

The door opened to reveal a black woman in her late teens, her hair a deep blue. She wore a dress that mimicked a galaxy and a matching witch hat. Her eyes were also deep blue, it seeming as if she held stars within them. "Oh? Who are you two?"

"Aww! Such a cute outfit!" Olivia complemented. "Anyways-"

"Livi, my arm..."

The entire lower half of his left arm had fallen off and the pieces separated against the ground.

"I applaud your origami bones for being so tough against gravity," the woman said.

"It...it won't go back on," Olivia said. She tried tape, and it still didn't stay. "Well, now you know why we're here. You see, my brother was cursed-"

"Cursed?! That's not just any old curse. That's a death curse! The worse kind of curse there is!"

"Livi...hurry it up. Please...I feel even worse than before..."

"I'm Luna."

"Tell us about the curse, Luna," Olivia pleaded.

"The death curse takes a full twenty-four hours to fully kill someone. It's almost eight, which means the curse was casted about then."

"Pick up the pace please," King Olly hurried. "I really don't want to die."

"Okay. It melts away your skin, muscle, organs, and anything else easily decomposable."

King Olly ran a hand through his hair. "But I still have my hair...?"

"And it's very nice. Anyways, it turns you into a walking skeleton for a while. But when twenty-four hours passes...let's just say you won't be a walking skeleton anymore."

"Just a pile of bones on a long-forgotten road..."

Olivia gave him a worried look.

Luna nodded. "Oh, but I can get Suki to undo it for you! She'll understand."

"Let's just hurry this up already. Please..." One of King Olly's ribs fell off. "I hope that isn't important."
