"So you're being discharged tomorrow?" I ask Lucas
I brought the twins up to see Lucas I have been doing the past couple of days. I know Lucas and I have made things official, but I didn't know what he wanted to do once he left the hospital.
Was he moving in with me? Was he going to live with his mom? Did he want to look for his own place? I just don't know.
"Yeah finally" he nodded
"So erm... What are your plans after leaving tomorrow?"
He laughed and looked to me "are you worrying Brooke?"
"Worrying? What do you mean?"
"About us and what happens next, is that why you've been quiet the last two days?"
"I just. I don't know what's happening with us. I mean I do, but not the home situation"
"What do you want to do because I'm happy moving in with you and the twins if that's what you want and if you're okay with that" he says and relief washed over me.
"Are you sure though. I mean I don't want to rush you into that if you don't think you're ready. I mean you just woke up and it's okay not to want that just yet" I ensure him
He gives me a smile an stakes my hand in his "I have missed wayyyy to much of their lives and yours not to jump right in Brooke. We have 2 years to catch up on and I want to do that with you"
"Okay" I say leaning in an placing a kiss to his lips. I look to the clock "shit I'm meant to be meeting Peyton" Lucas laughs "Wynter, Wyatt we have go meet Auntie Peyton" they both jumped up from the corner and ran over to Lucas.
"Byeeeee dada" they say at the same time. I lift each one up and Lucas hugs them and kisses them.
"I love you"
"We wove you" they say back
"See you later Luke" I place a kiss to his lips "I'll pick you up tomorrow and we can go for breakfast or something"
"Okay" he replies and waves us bye.
We were meeting Peyton at her new house. She and Jake have seen a few houses, but she said as soon as she saw this one she knew it was the one. I parked up outside and hit out getting the twins out of their car seats.
"Aunt Peyton" Wynter ran over to Peyton and jumped into her arms "wow" her little eyes went wide as she turned to the house.
It was nice. Big like my house. It had a grey interior and looked perfect. Totally Peyton vibe. She had a massive front garden that had a picket fence. Two garage doors and a back door to her garden.
"Oh my god its amazing" I say taking Wyatt by the hand and walking over to Peyton "this is so you"
"Isn't it" she laughed hugging Wynter close and kissing her cheek "let me show you around. Jake and I signed the papers this morning and got the keys. We move in whenever"
I followed Peyton into the front garden and into the house. It was perfect. A big entrance with high ceilings. A twirling stair case leading upstairs to the five bedrooms and four bathrooms. A huge kitchen and dining area with a living room and a den. The garden was massive too with a swimming pool and lightening.
"So" she says bringing me back into the real world "What do you think?"
"I like it" I smile turning around to face her "I can see you and Jake growing old here"
"Come with me. I have to show you the best part" we ran up the stairs each with a twin in our arms. I followed her down the hall to the master bedroom. It had big thick oak double doors that she pushed open "you'll love this" she smiles walking into the room and over to another double doors. She puts Wynter down and pushes a panel in and the doors open "this is my walk in closet"
I was awe of this. It was massive. Almost as big as mine. It was beautiful "Oh my god"
"Awesome right?" I nod looking sound.
"You've picked a good one here Sawyer"
Peyton showed us the rest of the house and then we stopped in her kitchen. Both twins were put on the counter and I stood with them.
"So when you moving out?" I ask "I can help if needed"
"Actually Jake was coming over in the morning so we could pack and while you bring Luke home we were gonna move things into the house"
"Oh okay that's cool. Are you sure you don't want any help?"
She waves it off "you already have a lot going on Davis. Me and Jake will be good. I promise"
"Okay"
I sat on the sofa finishing my last line for me to send to New York so I can get my clothes out into the world. The twins were sitting on their bean bags watching Sherk again. I glanced over and smiled at how close they were.
"Brooke" I hear my name and then feel a presence behind me. I turn my head and see Peyton "since I'm moving tomorrow morning I was thinking maybe we can have a take away night and watch a bunch of films"
"Yeeeeahhhh" the twins yell jumping up and down excited.
They made us both laugh "sure, what you feeling tonight?"
She looked to me and smiled "Chinese"
"We wove that" Wynter says
I smile at her and nod "okay, should we order or?"
"Order and I'll go pick it up"
I order our food and Peyton goes to pick it up and Wynter goes with her. I love how much my twins love her. She is the absolute best and I really don't know what I would have done without her. She has truly been my rock.
"Mama we watch nemo?" Wyatt asks climbing up on the couch beside me "me like that one"
"Sure baby" I grab my amazon fire remote and put it on for him. He leans into me and snuggles.
These are my favourite moments.
"We are here with the Chinese" I hear Peyton say about 20 minutes later.
Wynter runs over to the couch "me come up too" I pick her up and place her beside Wyatt "look mama" she held up a plastic bag full of goodies.
"You always spoil them Sawyer" I look over to my best friend.
She smiled big and shrugged "I love spoiling them and besides they are always so thankful" I rolled my eyes and laughed "anyway I'll grab the plates"
We sat on the floor in the living room after making it so cosy with the cushions from the sofa and the extra ones. We then had the Chinese laid out and I plated up the twins and they sat eating. We watch nemo and then jungle book and then the little mermaid for Wynter since that was her favourite. It got pretty late for the twins and they ended up falling asleep on the cushion fort we made. I covered them with a blanket and laid back as Peyton and I watched Scream. It was one of our favourites.
Once we were both sleepy we carried a twin each up to their room and placed them into their bed. I kissed them each a good night and then left their room leaving the door slightly open.
"You are doing such a good job with them Brooke. They are such sweet kids and you are such a good mom"
"Thanks Sawyer. That means a lot, but I would never have gotten through all this without you so thank you. I owe you everything"
"You don't owe me anything Brooke. That's what friends are for. We ride together we die together"
"Bad Girls for life" we finish together laughing afterwards.
"I'm gonna miss this" I say in a sad tone "our nights together just chilling with the twins watching movies and eating food"
"Me too" Peyton agrees "It won't be the same for the first night or two, but we aren't far from each other and you know you and the twins and Luke are always welcome at our house"
"I think Wynter will miss you being around the most. She's adores you"
"As I do her, but she can come have sleep overs whenever you and Luke need a break and Wyatt too"
"We love you so much Sawyer"
"As I love you three too"
