"Oh, no! Will Hawkmoth win and take Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous?" Marinette asked as she held her dolls and Mamon, one of the girls she babysat for, held the Hawkmoth doll. "No way, Ladybug always wins!" Mamon giggled.
Marinette's alarm on her phone rang. "Looks like the alarm clock's going to win today. We need to get you back to Mother who's waiting at the park soon." Marinette sighed, running a hand through her black hair. Her room looked like a distater, and the last thing she felt like doing was cleaning up after she got back. "I'll clean up, Princess. In fact," Cat dug in one of his pockets pulling out some money. "How about you girls buy a ice cream?" "Yay, thank you, Cat Noir!"
Marinette smiled and winked at Cat as she led Mamon downstairs. Cat sighed happily. When Marinette returned, they were going for hot chocolate. Cat started tidying up, gathering toys and heading over to the toy box.
He opened the lid, and his mouth dropped open, for what sat on top of the "toy box" was a picture of himself as Adrien! Cat shut the lid quickly. He hadn't discovered his Christmas presents, had he? Luckily, he hadn't seen anything. Then he noticed another chest right by it. Ah, so this is where the toys went!
Cat was almost done when he noticed a very fancy magic wand laying on the floor. He didn't know Marinette had a magic wand, and it almost felt real. Or perhaps it was Mamon's? He ask her when she got back. Cat placed the wand on top of the chest, and yawned. Marinette wasn't back yet, so he had time to take a quick snooze. Maybe he'd dream of Christmas presents….
Wiggle. Wiggle. Cat's ears swiveled and he opened his eyes as he heard something moving around Marinette's room. Cat peeked over the rim of his sleeping box, rubbing his eyes. Maybe the magic wand was real, for Marinette's dolls where moving about the room! At first, Cat was a little scared. This wasn't some kind of Voodoo was it?
"Hey, what are you toys doing? He asked. "We need to defeat Hawkmoth, just like Marinette said earlier," the Ladybug doll said. "Can you let out to freedom?" Cat narrowed his eyes. "I don't know. What if your only up to mischief?" "Oh, please?" she fluttered her eyes and the Cat Noir doll sauntered forward. "If we don't defeat Hawkmoth," he said, laying a hand on Ladybug's shoulder. "It would be a cat-strophe." "All right."
All of the dolls jumped from the window, and then Cat gasped. "That doll stole my cookie!" "Arrgh, what are dolls doing running through Paris?"
Why, those sneaky dolls. Cat rapidly texted Ladybug, and ran downstairs. These dolls may be heroes, but they were also mischief makers!
"I came as soon as I could, Kitten," Ladybug panted. "Looks like the dolls have gone," Cat told her, scanning the now quiet street. "How do you suppose we get them back, M'lady?"
Ladybug rubbed her chin, then her bluebell eyes lit up as she snapped her fingers. She beckoned Cat close as she whispered her plan. "Each doll is like us. For instance, the Ladybug doll would be headed for Starbucks. Let's get her first!" Cat grinned. "Of course she would head to Starbucks! She's just like you!" "Come on, before she trashes my favorite hang out!"
Ladybug gasped in horror as they burst into the coffee shop. A lady was coming towards them, with some red substance on her head. "Your not bleeding, are you?" Ladybug cried. "No, its just raspberry jelly, but you need to do something about that doll!"
Currently, the Ladybug doll was under one of taps of the cold brew machine drinking coffee. "Hey, you need to pay for that!" Ladybug yelled, unhooking her yo-yo from her waist. The Ladybug doll sat up, eyes bright with caffeine. "Catch me if you can, Ladybug!" Ladybug growled beneath her breath and aimed her yo-yo.
"M'lady, look out!" Cat pushed Ladybug out of the way just in time, as he spotted the Cat doll pushing off a bag of beans. The two heroes sat up, coughing as a cloud of bean dust arose from the bag. "Thanks, love," Ladybug said, as he pulled her to her feet. "This will be harder then I thought." "M'lady, if you had one very favorite item, what would be? That you would pay top dollar for?" Ladybug grinned, knowing where her partner was heading. "Huddle," she beckoned the barista in to.
The smell of chocolate was hard to resist even for the human Ladybug as a warm hazelnut croissant and coffee sat on the counter. "We're not falling for trick!" The Ladybug doll called, hands on hips. "No matter how good it smells!"
Cat winked at Ladybug, and walked over to the treat. "Hm, this is good!" He took a very small bite. "Bugaboo, you come try some too!"
The Ladybug doll licked her lips as she watched the friends eat the treat. "Come on, we know you want a bite." "Oh, okay." The Ladybug doll gestured to Cat to follow her. She was soon eating with gusto and Cat had chocolate all over his face.
"Okay, now!" Ladybug yelled and Cat threw her lucky charm, a plastic box over the pair. "Success!" Cat yelled. "Not so fast, Kitty. We need to break the magic wand before playtime is over."
Back at Marinette's, they found the magic wand now hovering in the air. Whenever they thought they had it in grasp it flew away! Cat even grabbed onto it, and he yelled in surprise as he flew around the room. "Ladybug, help!"
Ladybug scanned the room quickly. There had to be something she could use a lasso, and her eyes fell on Marinette's sewing basket and quickly made a lasso out of the thicker yarn.
Cat thudded to the floor along with wand. "Cataclysm!" Cat yelled, and the wand broke. The curse was broken! The dolls were no longer alive and the city was saved…..
"Cat! Cat!" Cat meowed, startled from his nap. "Marinette? Oh, I had most vivid dream about your dolls…." "Come on, you can tell me about as we go for hot chocolate."
Before Cat shut the lid of the trapdoor however, he made sure the dolls weren't moving!
