A/N: I missed trying to write Ace being cheeky. Well, aside from writing explicit stuff... but you can only read those on AO3

[TACTICAL FIRE]

Neon swung her Beat Axe around as the five Jyamato maids and butlers exploded into flames. Just as she was about to be ambushed by another group, a flash of red sped past in front of her as Geats arrived at the scene and knocked the group away from her using Boostriker.

"Ace! Catch this—!" she hollered at him before throwing the FeverSlot buckle towards him, which Ace caught deftly.

Without skipping a beat he put on the buckle and pulled the crank to draw Monster and continued to fight off the waves of Jyamato grunts.

.

"Should I use this buckle to fight?"

Keiwa continued to run past the hallways as he tried to retrace his steps to head towards the chapel. The layout of the place had been so confusing, if not because of the small map provided in the Spider phone he would've easily gotten lost in this mansion and outer garden.

He hastily swerved to the side as a stray Jyamato maid caught sight of him and tried to chase after him. He kicked the maid to the side before grabbing a fallen scythe and cutting the Jyamato down. He continued onwards towards the other hallways which he was sure would lead him towards the other parts of the mansion that he wanted to go.

So far by sheer luck, after retrieving his Desire Driver and core ID, Keiwa had managed to avoid encountering huge groups of Jyamato maids and butlers... and even the Jyamato Riders. Because of that, he didn't end up needing to use Magnum to transform and just fought the ones he encountered on his own. Well, not quite. Earlier, without thinking he had run his finger over Magnum to get a grasp on how to use the buckle. Compared to Ninja, Magnum had a different moveable component which was used to activate the buckle. There was also a trigger-like device on it which he supposed would activate some finisher moves afterwards. It was kinda neat, somehow but it didn't feel quite like his own style. Well, anyway, that was how he ended up materializing the Magnum Shooter gun and tried to blast his way through using the weapon alone.

But it's not really easy, huh? Trying to get used to a different weapon you're not accustomed to fighting with, so he ends up just relying on his own fighting skill to fend for himself. And perhaps that was for the best since his aim with the Magnum Shooter wasn't the best and he rather not cause some friendly fire during a fight.

It would've been great though, if he could somehow get his Ninja buckle back...

Suddenly, as he entered the other hallway... something green suddenly dropped down in front of him without warning. And it was the Ninja buckle. Keiwa suppressed the urge to laugh out loud before glancing up towards the upper balcony, wondering how and where the buckle dropped down from. Seeing nothing of interest, Keiwa continued on his way towards the chapel without looking back behind him.

That was extremely lucky! Keiwa couldn't help himself from smiling widely. That idiot fox wasn't the only one blessed with good luck this time. And somehow that thought cheered Keiwa up immensely...

He was able to arrive in time before a stray Jyamato could swing its scythe down towards Kozue and Yoshiki and managed to cut it down using his Ninja Dueler. He turned around towards his other comrades as he caught Ace chuckling at him.

"Heh... you finally made it back here! I thought it'd taken you a bit longer to figure out your way here—"

Keiwa marched over towards the fox rider before taking out the Magnum buckle that he attached to the side of his belt. He hit the fox rider on the head none-too-gently before handing the buckle towards Ace.

"This is for restoring my memory... and helping me to get back into the game—"

"Heeeh!" exclaimed the cheeky fox before taking the buckle from Keiwa and disarming himself.

Ace gave him another wide grin and winked his eyes at Keiwa.

"Is that the only reason why you're being so grateful to me?" teased the man again before attaching the Magnum buckle on his Desire Driver and transforming into Geats Magnum. "I'm sure there was another thing that you had conveniently left out from mentioning it aloud..."

Keiwa resisted the urge to kick Ace in the butt before turning his attention towards the Jyamato Rider in front of them. The vines around his neck barely reacted to the Jyamato Rider's presence and he wondered if it was because his Ninja armour was protecting him from the effect. He continued assaulting the Jyamato Rider who appeared to have more tricks under their sleeves compared to the other grunts and much stronger in strength as well. Fighting the Jyamato really served as a good distraction to him anyway. Because he certainly didn't want to dwell too much on the person standing next to him at the moment; on how soft Ace's lips had been when the man had kissed him earlier, or how sweet Ace had tasted when Keiwa had allowed their tongue to roam freely inside his mouth and how Ace's whole presence had sent tingles all over his body. He certainly didn't want to recall the way Ace had held him tightly or his own thoughts about wanting Ace to touch him more—because this was CERTAINLY NOT the time to be distracted with all this nonsense as Keiwa found himself falling hard onto the floor when the Jyamato Rider unleashed some vines towards the two of them and caught his leg in the process.

Ace immediately shot down the vine that was pulling Keiwa towards the enemy rider before helping Keiwa back on his feet.

"Hehe... why so quiet?" teased the fox again. "Did a cat get your tongue? Or was it a fox?"

Keiwa gritted his teeth as he jumped up to launch multiple aerial attacks on the Jyamato Rider when Ace kicked it upwards towards him. For once Keiwa was grateful to have all this armour around him so that it wouldn't show how red his face had become now. He forgot how annoying Ace could be when the man was in a great mood for teasing him.

He landed deftly on his feet as the Jyamato Rider behind him exploded in a big ball of fire before getting up and glaring towards Ace (even if the other party couldn't see his face right now.)

"Shut up, Ace!" exclaimed Keiwa as Ace continued to chuckle in glee.
