"Marinette, are you going to lie around in bed all day or are you going to keep me company for a bit?" Its a been a few months since we moved to the island, and I can't blame Adrien for wanting company. Its just us here after all, unless we go to the market island. Halloween came and went as we set up our new lives.

But lately, all I seem to want to do is lie around in bed. I never used to be this lazy. "Okay, I want to get some fruit for some smoothies anyway. Give me five."

I change into a white cotton shirt and braid my hair down my back, I've been loving looser clothes and a looser style of hair lately. I hold Adrien's hand as we step out into the bright sunlight, the warm sand feels nice underneath my toes. "Can we see the garden? Its been a few days since I last checked on your progress," I ask. "Of course. We're going to have a wonderful harvest if the weather stays nice."

"You've worked so hard on it. Just think, back in Paris you were a model and a hero, and now your a farmer. I'll have to call you Farmer Adrien." He nudges me a teasing glint in his eyes. "Will you sew me a pair of overalls?" "I think that's highly possible."

Subconsciously, my hand drifts down to my belly. I haven't been feeling myself lately, and when I cook food for Adrien, at times I can't stand the smell. Even now, I'm not feeling so hot… "Love, could we rest for a moment?" "Of course," he looks at me with concern as I sink beneath one of palm trees. "Marinette, your pale. You okay?" "My tummy's kinda rocky, but other then that, I'm fine." "Mind if I?" Adrien gestures to my tummy and I give him the go-ahead keeping my eyes closed. His fingers massage my stomach, and he looks at me. "Princess, you do think your pregnant?" "Its been long enough since we've arrived. But let's not jump to that, Adrien. If you help me up, I'll be fine."

He nods, but he's quiet for the rest of our walk, and helps me gather fruit, manly bananas for smoothies. Smoothies are my favorite thing right now, even more then coffee which is shocking.

Adrien is back late when I get supper on, and tonight I'm feeling ravenous. "Sorry to keep the food waiting," Adrien tells me, serving up some meatloaf. "I made a doctor's appointment for you. I just want to make sure your okay." "Okay," I whisper. "The garden looks lovely, by the way." "We'll have to hang candy canes from the palm trees for Christmas." I laugh. "Just think, Christmas will be so different that we're not in Paris, and it won't be cold." "I'll miss Paris, but the cold I can live without."

I squeeze his hand. "I miss Paris too, but with all the chores around the cabin and sewing, I hardly get a chance to miss it." "If we want to visit, I know who to ask," he grins at me.

I love our after dinner snuggles, while Adrien reads in bed, I sew. Lately, I'm been making baby clothes. I think to my appointment tomorrow. I'd be thrilled to be carrying a child, but what if this is a false alarm?

At the appointment, I do find out I'm pregnant and Adrien and I both cry. With all the symptoms I've been having lately, I can't say I'm that surprised.

Adrien surprises me later with a cake, which we both share. It will be many months before the baby is born, but Adrien wastes no time ordering furturine. It won't be ready for quite some time though, for here on Market Island everything is made by hand. Even I have a small booth that I sell jams and sewing supplies to make money.

A few weeks pass by, and its raining out at sunset, and I keep looking out the window Adrien put in. I absolute love the picture window so I can catch the sunrises and sunsets and see when he'll be home. But its just dark and there doesn't seem to be a sign of him. Still, he'll be fine.

I sit down in my cozy rocking chair and work on a project, keeping the food warm. I jump about an hour later as I hear a banging sound coming from the front door. "Marinette, can you help me get this in here?" Adrien raises his voice above the rain.

I help him to drag in a wooden wheel...wait a minute. "Adrien, is this what I think it is?" "If you mean a spinning wheel, then yes, my wheel. Just be careful not to prick your finger or you may sleep for a hundred years!" "Oh, love! Its perfect! But how ever did you get it home?"

"Cyrus brought it over in his boat, and it starting pouring half way back. That's why I'm so late." "Oh, I'll be able to make so many fun things...Now, get changed, you must be starving!"

Over a meal of soup and rolls, Adrien and I talk. "I thought you'd like something to keep you busy when you get restless. I actually meant it to be a wedding present." "Present or not, it will be loved!"

I start to work on it the very next day, and Adrien grins when I send him for supplies. I also add tea to the list now that I'm not drinking coffee.

The days pass swiftly, and I grow bigger, and Adrien is staying closer to the house now. I love the closeness we have, even though he's been the closet person to me ever.

Around midnight in November, I wake with a sharp pain and wake Adrien. Transforming quickly, he packs a small bag for me.

Then, under a yellow moon its off to the hospital. Though the pain is sharp, I can't wait to have a baby.
