From This Moment On-Ch 11
Derek held his son for a while, he was mesmerized by the sleeping infant. he was adorable and as he gently ran his finger down his sons cheek he couldn't help but smile. He looked up at Penelope and said, "we need to talk sweetness", she nodded her head yes as she took their sleeping son and put him down in his crib.
The team hugged Penelope and JJ and Emily made her promise that they would do lunch tomorrow so that they could spend some time catching up after being apart from each other for over a year.
When it was just Penelope and Derek in the living room, he reached out and took her hands in his and said, "why did you leave, why did you leave me?", she blew out a deep breath and tried to pull her hands from his but he held on tight and said, "answer me sweetness
.
Penelope said, "what happened between us that night was", Derek quickly said, "meant to be, it was perfection Penelope, we've always belonged together, that night only proved it". She shook her head and said, "no Derek, what happened between us that night was wrong, it was totally wrong, we never should have crossed that line, you were engaged to Sav", before she could finish her sentence Derek pulled her into his arms and crashed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss.
She struggled and tried to pull away but he held on to her, he needed to show her that she was where she was always meant to be, in his arms. He quickly deepened the kiss, earning a moan of pleasure from Penelope, everything felt perfect, he was finally with her, with their son, the three of them were together and now that he had her back in his life again he would do whatever it took to keep her there.
Penelope finally managed to pull away and she said, "stop Derek", he said, "why Penelope, it's obvious that you still love me as much as I love you, so why, why fight it?", she said, "you don't understand, we can't be together, not now, not after I left, it's not, it's not right, can't you see that?", he said, "I love you now more than I ever have, please, please don't push me away".
She said, "you belong with Savannah, you and her are perfect together, I'm just the fat ex-best friend that got drunk with you one night and we had sex, that's all it is, that's all it ever can be", he shook his head and said, "no, no it's not all it can be and you are wrong, so so wrong".
Penelope looked at him and said, "how am I wrong, weren't you in love with Savannah?", he shook his head and said, "I loved her but I wasn't in love with her, you, baby girl are the only woman I ever have been or ever will be in love with".
Tears streamed down her cheeks and she said, "Derek please don't" and he leaned down and claimed her lips with his in a soft, gentle and loving kiss, a kiss that they both wanted and needed oh so much.
When they pulled apart he said, "if you can look me in the eyes right now and tell me that you don't love me anymore and don't want to be with me I'll drop it, I'll leave you alone and won't bother you again, other than seeing my son of course".
She blew out a deep breath and said to herself, "come on Garcie, you can do this, lie to him, tell him that you don't love him, tell him that you don't want to be with him anymore, tell him. tell him nowwwwwwwww".
Penelope looked into his dark eyes and opened her mouth to speak but the words, they just wouldn't come, how could she say that she didn't love him anymore when she did, she loved him with all of her heart, mind., body and soul and that would never chance.
He held her face in his hands and said, "I'm waiting baby girl, come on tell me. tell me if you can", tears continued to stream down her cheeks and she said, "I can't tell you that because, well because" , he smiled as he leaned down and got closer to her lips, he whispered, "tell me you love me, just those three little words will seal our fate together forever".
Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and said the three words they both needed to hear, she said, "I love you, I love you, I love you are you satis", he quickly claimed her lips with his in a passionate and commanding kiss, he needed her so much right now, she needed him, they were hungry so hungry for each other.
He picked her up, she wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck as he carried her across the living room and into her bedroom. He would show her that they belonged together, that they always had and they always will.
