From This Moment On-Ch 13
Derek woke up the next morning with his arms wrapped around his baby girl, he smiled as he looked down at how peacefully she was sleeping, he still couldn't believe that him and Penelope were back together and going to get married like he'd always dreamed they would be.
He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard his son crying across the hall, he careful removed his arm from around Penelope and slid on his boxers before hurrying across the hall to check on their son.
As he walked over to the crib Hank stopped crying and for a second he thought that the little boy had fallen back to sleep but when he hovered over the crib he couldn't help but smile as he saw his son was awake and laying there kicking his feet in the air.
He leaned down and picked up his son and said, "good morning buddy, how is daddy's little man this morning, did you sleep good, huh, did ya?" as he carried the little boy over to the changing table to quickly put him on a fresh diaper before heading through to warm him up a bottle.
Derek was still holding his son in his arms when Penelope got up and came through the house a few minutes later, she stopped in the doorway and smiled as she saw the two most important men in her life were bonding more as father and son.
She walked over to them and kissed the top of Derek's head and then kissed her son on his cheek and said, "good morning loves of my life". Derek winked at her and said, "right back atcha gorgeous, right back atcha" as she walked around and sat down beside them on the couch.
Derek said, "he's be changed, fed and burped and I believe he's about ready for a nap", Penelope said, "I would say so handsome" as she watched Derek stand up and walk out of sight to put their son down in his crib
When Derek walked back into the room he saw that Penelope was fixing breakfast, he walked over and stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the side of the neck and said, "Hank is sleeping peacefully", Penelope smiled and said, "he's an amazing little boy".
Derek said, "that he is but how can he keep from being an amazing little boy with you as his gorgeous momma?", she looked over her shoulder and said, "sweet talk will get you everywhere Mr. Morgan", he laughed and said, "that's good to know Mrs. soon to be Morgan".
A little while later while they were eating Penelope had told Derek the entire story that happened from the morning she left his house until the morning she ran into Reid at the diner as the two lovers finally got caught up on each others lives since they had last seen each other over a year ago.
