From This Moment On-Ch 14
After enjoying a delicious breakfast and finally getting caught up the little family of three was in the living room together when Penelope glanced down at her watch and said, "ohhhh I have to get ready Jayje and Em will be here soon", she stood up and said, "ohhhhh".causing Derek to look up at her and say, "is something wrong sweetness?", she said, "I need to go ask Sheila if she can watch Hank for me".
Derek grinned at her and said, "you don't have to do that, I'll watch him", Penelope said, "are you sure about that?", he said, "I am, he's my boy after all and I love spending time with me soooo it's more than okay for you to leave him with me". Penelope leaned down and kissed her handsome hotsutff on the lips and then kissed her son's chubby cheek and said, "I love you both" before walking across the room and disappearing into her bedroom to get dressed.
Derek looked down at his son and said, "it's gonna be just you and me today buddy, how does a day together with daddy sound?", the little boy started kicking his feet and cooing up at Derek who could only smile at seeing his sons reaction.
A few minutes later their was a knock at the door, Derek said, "don't worry baby girl, I'll get it" as he stood up with his son in his arms and walked over to the door. He opened the door and saw the rest of the team standing there, he said, "what's up guys, I thought that Em and Jayje were gonna go out for a girls day".
Emily said, "we are but we all want to talk to PG first", Derek said, "ahhhhhhhh okay" and shut the door and followed them into the living room to sit down and wait on Penelope to get finished getting dressed. It wasn't long before she stepped out and said, "oh hey guys, what's up, I wasn't expecting to see all of you this morning".
Dave said, "come, sit kitten, we need to talk to you about something". she walked over and sat down on the couch beside Derek and their son and said, "talk, talk about what, is something wrong?", Dave said, "no, nothing is wrong, we just want to talk to you about something that's all don't worry, don't worry
Hotch took a deep breath and said, "I want to talk to you about coming back to work at the BAU Penelope, we miss you and we definitely need you, so please come back home with us", she looked around to see them all looking at her anxiously waiting for her answer.
Penelope said, "guys, I love you, I do but this is my home, our home now and besides what makes you think that the director will take me back after I left so suddenly?", Dave said, "that's already taken care of, your job is waiting on you, that is if you want it". She looked at Derek who said, "sooooooo, do you want it sweetness, do you want to come back to Virginia with us and be a member of the BAU again?", she sat there thinking, yes she wanted to go back but how could she leave this fast, she had a job, stuff to pack up, people to say goodbye too.
JJ said, "if you say yes, we'll help you pack everything up", Reid said, "we know that you have ma job here and people that you love that you will need to say goodbye too so that's not a problem". Penelope grinned at her family and said, "I would have to give my two weeks notice and say goodbye to some amazing people first".
Derek said, "not a problem goddess, not a problem", she sighed and said, "well in that case I'd love to come back", Derek leaned in and brushed his lips against hers and said, "and you and Hank can move in with me, that is if you want too?", she said, "aren't you afraid that we're moving too fast?", he said, "too fast, are you kidding me, if we were moving any slower we've be going backwards", she grinned and said, "true, true".
Penelope looked down at her son and then around the room and said, "sounds like a plan hotstuff, sounds like a plan", everybody high fived each other and hugged Penelope before JJ and Emily dragged her out the front door on their first of many stops of the day. Penelope wanted to stop and tell Monica that she was leaving to give her notice but Monica knowing how much Penelope loved her family told her that a notice wasn't necessary.
She paid Penelope in full and even gave her a bonus before hugging her and telling her that if she ever needed anything to let her know, to which Penelope agreed and hugged the porr woman several times before she was finally able to walk out of the diner and away from some amazing friends.
While they were out the trio of ladies stopped and got boxes so they could start packing up and now that she had a lot taken care of she still needed to tell Sheila that she was leaving and doing that was going to break not only Sheila's heart but hers as well.
Sheila smiled as she opened her door and saw Penelo[e standing there, she said, "come in honey, come in" as Penelope walked past smiling Sheila shut the door and followed her into the living room where the two sat down and Penelope turned to face her and opened her mouth and before she could say anything Sheila said, "you're leaving, right?", Penelope looked at the older woman and nodded her head yes.
Sheila hugged Penelope and said, "I love you and that little boy so much", Penelope said, "and we love you Sheila, we love you soooooo much" causing the woman to weakly smile. Penelope said, "you are now and you will always be Hank's grandma and we still want you to be a part of his life, we want you to be a part of him growing up, that is if you want to?", Sheila nodded her head and said, "I do, I want that, I want that sooo much".
Penelope said, "and you are welcome to visit us any time in Virginia, any time that you want", Sheila grinned and said, "I might just take you up on that" causing Penelope to grin and hug the older woman tighter as the two sat there hugging each other and saying their goodbyes.
