From This Moment On-Ch 21
Over the next couple of days Penelope and Hank adjusted to their lives back in Virginia with their family again, Penelope had dyed her hair back blonde the way it was before she had left and she tossed the contact lenses away and donned her trademark glasses, she was back, Penelope Grace Garcia aka the all seeing all knowing oracle was back.
Her first day back at the BAU was rough because the team had been called out first thing that morning, they were in Texas on a serial killer case, an unsub was killing entire families and had so far killed 8 before the team had been called in so she blew out a deep breath as she started deep diving for information on the victims so that hopefully she could help her team of crime fighters catch and put away the sicko and the sooner the better.
One day had turned into two and two too four and still the team was unable to find the family annihilator, Penelope did search after search before something had dawned on her, so she took a sip of her coffee and said, "you can do this Garcis, you are the all seeing all knowing oracle, you have to help your team catch this sick freak before he destroys anymore families".
She then let her fingers fly as she pulled up family after family, she nodded her head and said, "that's it, that's it", she then pulled up a little more information and said, "it has to be him, it has to be him", she then hit the speakerphone button and hit 2 and after a couple of rings she heard Dave say, "have you found anything kitten?", Penelope said, "sure have papa bear, are the others around?", he said, "sure, hang on" and it was only a second or two later she heard, "give us some good news baby girl".
She smiled and said, "I sure can handsome, I believe I have found out who the unsub is", that got everybody's attention and they sat listening as she told them how she had remembered that the husbands and wives of all of the families had been orphans and were all at the same orphanage growing up, she then told them about doing another deep dive and finding out that the only person to not get adopted back then was Dean Campbell".
Derek said, "what was his life like baby girl?", Penelope told the team of bad foster home after bad foster home and how he was beaten and almost killed in several, she sent them picture after picture of proof of his hard life, JJ said, "so he's taking his revenge against the people that were adopted and had good lives?", Penelope said, "it seems so Jayje".
Reid said, "that does make sense, well at least in his mind anyway, it sees it unfair that they got the good life that he too should have had and to get his revenge and make them pay for taking his quote unquote good life away he takes their lives and the lives of their family instead", the team all looked at each other and sighed as they shook their heads.
Hotch said, "Garcia do you have any idea where he is right now?", she said, "well sir I don't, ohhhh wait a minute, his car is on the cameras right now", Derek said, "where is he sweetness?", she said, "he's at 2212 Newton Street and it looks like he's still sitting in the car, it's like he's waiting for something", Reid said, "or somebody" as the team all nodded their heads yes in agreement.
Dave said, "kitten is there any way that you can check to see who lives there and see if they too grew up in that orphanage with the unsub?", she said, "I can do that in two shakes papa bear, hold on and be amazed by my speed", Derek grinned and said, "just do that thing that you do sweetness" as he sat listening as her fingers flew across the keyboard.
A few seconds later she said, "yes, their names are Daphne and Alfred Kinser", Hotch said, "call them Garcia, call them and tell them to stay inside and stay away from windows and doors and to make sure that they keep the doors and windows locked, we are on our way", she said, "will do and be careful crimefighters", she smiled as they all said in unison, "always" before the call ended.
Penelope had made that call and the team along with addition police had arrived on the scene before he could kill another family, Derek smiled as they climbed back into their SUVs a few minutes later to head to the police station to finish their paperwork so that they could head back home, back home to their family and the heart and soul of their team, Penelope Grace Garcia.
