From This Moment On-Ch 27
As the ceremony continued the minister said, "who gives this woman away in marriage?", Dave then proudly stood up and said, "I do" and then slowly sat back down beside his step-daughter as the ceremony continued.
It was then Fran and Hank stepped forward as the minister asked for the rings, he smiled as he took the rings from the pillow that was in the little boys arms, he then said, "thank you young man" causing Hank to laugh. Fran then stepped back over and stood beside Hotch as the minister looked at the happy couple for a few seconds while he readied to speak.
He looked at Derek and said, "Derek, take this ring and put it onto Penelope's finger and then recite your vows to her", Derek took a step forward and took the ring from the center of the bible and turned to look at Penelope. He then put the ring onto her left ring finger and said, "Penelope Grace Garcia, you, you are the love of my life. you are my everything and I promise to you here in front of our family that I will love, honor and cherish you for as long as we both shall live".
The minister then turned to Penelope and said, "Penelope, take this ring and put it onto Derek's finger and then recite your vows to him", she stepped forward and took the ring into her hand before turning to face him. She then slid the ring onto his left ring finger and said, "Derek Michael Morgan, you are the best thing that has ever happened in my life, you along with our son are my world and I promise here in front of you that I will love honor and cherish you for as long as we both shall live".
After turning to face the minister he said, "if there is anyone here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace". The minister then said, "by the powers vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife", he smiled at Derek and said, "Derek, you may kiss your bride".
Derek smiled and then cupped his wife's face in his hands and leaned in and claimed her lips with his in a kiss, they pulled apart to the sound of hands clapping and their family shouting their congratulations. It was then that the minister said, "it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan".
As Derek leaned in for another kiss the air was once again filled with the sound of hands clapping in celebration of Derek and Penelope now being husband and wife finally. Before making their way across the yard Derek and Penelope thanked the minister and invited him to stay for the reception, he thanked them but had to refuse because of a prior engagement that he had to attend to.
Derek smiled at his wife and intertwined their fingers as they followed their loving family across the yard, making their way toward the reception tent.
