From This Moment On-Ch 28
When the newlyweds stepped into the reception tent romantic music filled the air, Derek then pulled his beautiful bride into his arms and claimed her lips with his in a passionate kiss, they pulled apart to cat calls from their friends. Penelope blushed and said, "he's mine now and I can kiss him wheneverrrrrrr I want too", Derek said, "that's right sweetness" before pulling her into another passionate kiss.
This time when they pulled apart they saw the smiling face of their son, Derek took his son into his arms and said, "you did such a good job today, daddy is sooooooo proud of his big boy", Penelope kissed her son on the cheek and said, "and so is mommy". Fran looked at Derek who nodded his head, giving her the sign to suggest their first dance together as husband and wife, so she cleared her throat and looked at the happy couple.
Penelope looked at her as she said, "alright ladies and gentlemen it's time for the bride and groom's first dance together as husband and wife", everybody clapped their hands, Fran walked over and said, "here buddy, come to nana Fran" as she took the squealing little boy into her arms.
Derek wrapped his arms around his wife again as the music and words to At Last filled the air, she looked up at him and said, "awww handsome, I love it", he said, "I knew you would" as he gave her a quick kiss. Everybody watched and snapped picture after picture as they danced their way across the tent, it wasn't long before the other couples joined the newlyweds on the dance floor.
Sarah was holding her nephew, she was pointing at Derek and Penelope and Hank was just laughing and clapping his hands, Desiree said, "I don't think he really knows what's going on, he just sees everybody else happy". Sarah said, "he's just happy to see his mommy and daddy happy and smiling", Desiree said, "if anybody deserves this happiness, it's the two of them", Sarah said, "so true little sister, so so true".
A few minutes later after the first dance came to an end Fran smiled and said, "I hope everybody is hungry because we have enough food to feed a small army", Hotch laughed and said, "that's a good thing Fran because I think you have one" as he motioned around the tent to everybody, Fran laughed and said, "alright, let's eattttt", she then watched as everybody started getting their plates and filling them with delicious food and heading to the tables to sit.
Fran was eating and feeding her grandson at the same time, Hank was having a blast, he was looking at everybody and laughing the entire evening, he was having a great time being passed around from his parents to his grandparents to his aunts and then finally his uncles before winding back up in his nana Fran's loving arms again.
Soon it was time for the husband and wife to cut their cake, Fran handed the baby to Dave and her along with Sarah pushed the cart over that was carrying the cake, it was a beautiful 2 tier cake with a fountain between the tiers that was flowing punch. Henry and Jack loved it and kept clapping their hands and saying how cool that was.
Derek and Penelope put their hands on the knife and put it into a layer of cake and then put a piece of cake into a saucer, they then gently fed each other a bite before smashing the rest of the cake all over each others faces. Fran laughed as she watched then kissing and licking the cake and icing off of each others faces before wiping off their faces so that they could continue celebrating with their family for a little while longer.
A couple of hours later it was time for the bride and groom to say good night and head back home, they had decided to not take a complete honeymoon now but wait till summer time and take an extended vacation that would also count as their honeymoon. Fran handed them the baby, he was exhausted and snuggled into his mothers chest and laid his little head down, she rubbed his back and said ,"mommy and daddy love you soooooo much and we will be back tomorrow so be good for nana Fran".
The little boy looked up at her and yawned as if saying ."okay mommy", she kissed the top of his little head and then handed him to Derek so he could hold him for a few minutes before they headed out for the night. As the happy couple were running across the yard a few minutes later their family was chasing after them tossing birdseed after being told what happened to the birds that ate rice, they never wanted to do that again.
As they pulled away from the curb they were smiling and waving at each other, the family stood waving until Derek and Penelope disappeared out of sight, they then returned to the reception tent where they continued celebrated for a little while longer.
