Today is a rather big day for both Lincoln and his friends as they were going to have a awesome sleepover at Liam's Farm tonight. This time; it will be even more fun since Stella is going to be joining them, plus with no pool party being scheduled on the same day: Lincoln, Clyde, Zach, and Rusty won't find themselves in another embarrassing moment, which thank goodness for that.
It also pleases Liam a lot more for they won't have an excuse to sneak out while he's asleep this time.
But anywho, they all came up with the perfect plan; in order to get there faster, for you see they have all prepared their sleepover gear last night, it took some consideration on what to bring, not to mention have everything they need for tonight such as Clyde, who went through a list of all the necessaries he's going to be needing from the mosquito nets, cricket sounds, scent machines, allergy medication and lotion, extra blankets, and bug spray. If he forgotten something, Clyde is sure one of his dads would happily remind him with their own extra supplies; such as phone numbers to places they happen to be at during his time at Liam's.
Because they were smart enough to prepare themselves last night, they were all ready to go the moment they all got home from school, where they had spent the whole day discussing about what to do from sharing scary stories, pig wrestling, going downhill in a tractor wheel, swinging on a rope in the barn, and whatever else they could come up with.
Of course they all had homework to do after school, so they all got to work on it right away, all except for Rusty who decided that he would do it when he gets back from Liam's tomorrow. If his dad asks, he will just smoothly say that he had already did it, it's the most perfect plan that only the Rustman can come up with.
After finishing up all of their homework, the kids gathered their things and headed on over to Liam's, (courtesy of their parents), where Liam is happily waiting for them near the front fence. "Howdy fellas? Are you ready for a fun sleepover?" He asked while waving at them as Stella's mom drove away.
"You know it Liam." Lincoln excitedly exclaimed.
"I'm ready to feel extreme!" Clyde suddenly screamed, earning everyone to stare at him in surprise before immediately getting himself calm with his index finger up. "Responsibly of course."
"I got a quick question. We are sleeping in the barn, right?" Stella asked.
"That's correct." Liam replied.
"That's cool, but um" Feeling uneasy upon not knowing how to say this without offending Liam in anyway, Stella hesitantly says the rest of her sentence. "Don't take this the wrong way Liam, but um, it's not going to smell in there is it?" She probably could've said that a bit more nicer, but it's a need to know basis that she wouldn't be returning home smelling like cow poop.
"No worries Stella. My family and I, gave the barn a much good cleaning." Liam happily reassured his friend.
"Oh," Stella said with a smile for that was a relief. "Well then. What are we going to do first?"
"Firstly, we're going to drop off your gear in the barn. Then after that. I got something fun planned for you all." Liam beamed.
"Another pig wrestling match?" Zach excitedly asked for Liam did say that he's been practicing some new moves throughout the week.
"Not yet. Virginia is in the middle of a mud bath at the moment, but she is ready for the rematch later." Glancing over to the pig pen for a second, Virginia points at him, then motions to Liam that he was going down in the future match.
"So what are we going to do then?" Rusty now asked.
"You'll see soon enough." Liam winked before leading them all into the barn, where a nice spot for all of them is set at a milking station.
Liam certainly wasn't lying when he said that he and his family have tidied up the barn. All of the spider and cobwebs are dusted away, Hay is neatly stacked in the back, and the floor is all swept along with mopped up to perfectly show their reflections in the floorboards.
"Nice." Rusty exclaimed upon seeing his faint mustache in the reflection.
"This looks very neat Liam. Did you read Joe Bob's tips on barn cleaning?" Clyde asked for he had read it last week while sitting at the waiting room in Doctor Lopez's building. It was an interesting read, even if he doesn't exactly own a barn, but he was certain that Liam would love to hear some of those helpful tips.
Liam however shook his head no. "We used our family style of cleaning to tidy up this good old barn." Happily padding a wooden pole, Liam now moves on down to where they were going to be sleeping. "Anywho; set your stuff down here and let's get this party started."
Doing on what he said, they all set their stuff down and fallowed Liam out the barn, then went all the way to the back of the barn where a large stack of hay shaped like a pyramid beheld them. "Here we are fellows. A perfectly stacked piles of hay for us to climb on."
"Cool. I bet you can see the town from the very top." Zach remarked.
"Don't get any ideas Zach. The top is only fit for a king like me." Rusty boasted.
"Not if I get up there first." Lincoln playfully proclaimed with his eyes squinting. They then all have a race towards the top of the haystack, some of them fell back to the row below from either loose straw or playful sabotage, which all lead up to Rusty getting in the lead.
He could just see the top now, he'll be king of the haystack. Finally reaching the top, he moves his head up and froze when he saw Stella sitting there, casually waving at him. "What kept you so long Rusty?"
"How did you get here before me?" Rusty was very positive that she never even passed him.
"I climbed up from the other side." She replied with a shrug.
Rusty slowly nodded in disappointment for not being first in the race after all. "That makes sense. Can I come up?"
Playfully placing a finger on her chin, Stella thinks about it for a bit. "The queen of the haystack will allow this."
Scooching aside to allow all of them to take a seat on the Hay. They all stare out to the land, where from here, they did indeed have a nice view of town in the distance, right along with the fields of corn dancing in the wind.
After enjoying the view from atop of the haystack. The good friends carefully climbed themselves down with Clyde being the last one, due to suddenly remembering his tremendous fear of heights and had to stay behind a bit in order to calm down his tense nerves.
But once he finally did make it to the bottom, the next thing they did was some good old downhill tire riding. They absolutely made sure to find the steepest, tallest hill to ride down on. After doing that, they each took a turn with Lincoln being the one who went the farthest out of all of them. It was a blast, though unfortunately for Zach. He found himself getting way too dizzy to the point he barfed behind a couple of bushes.
The next thing they did was go into the chicken pen and rounded up all the chickens back into the coop, which to say was very chaotic that ended with them getting into a huge pile up; Lincoln, Clyde, Zach are at the bottom, while Rusty, Stella, and a random chicken are on the top. The chicken clucks a bit before hopping off of Rusty, leaving behind a egg on his back.
After that, they all get themselves cleaned up for dinner and had a good feast of chicken, mash potatoes with gravy, corn on the cob, and fresh tomatoes from the fields. The food was very great right along with Liam's family, who all chatted about the upcoming harvest along with the vegetable contest at the county fair this year, where Liam's dad is very confident that his huge pumpkin is going to win him the first place ribbon.
When they were finished with dinner, it was finally time for the big fight with Virginia. She was smugly waiting for Liam at one corner of her pen, while Liam gets himself into the other corner and crouched down into position.
Turning to her trough, Virginia spits at it, creating a wrestling bell sound; officially beginning the match. Charging at each other, they take a huge leap, where after colliding they roll around the pen, pinning down one another briefly before going into another wheel that ends with Liam flying out a short distance before crashing into the mud with a splat.
Rolling left, he dodges Virginia's belly flop which creates a big splash of mud to splatter everywhere, including all over Clyde's glasses.
"Whoops." Taking off his glasses, Clyde quickly started to wipe the mud off of them, completely missing Liam hopping onto Virginia's back and hung on tightly by wrapping his arms around her neck as she bucks him around like a rodeo bull. This must have been the move Liam's been talking about and it seemed to be serving him greatly as no matter how much she thrashed about, Liam just wouldn't let go.
But then; Virginia suddenly ran for the opposite end of the pen. Climbing to the top of the fence, she hops off of it backwards and pins Liam down. Liam tried in vain to get out, but it was utterly no use, Virginia efficiently has him pinned down for more than ten seconds meaning that she once again won the match.
Squealing in victory, she hops herself off of Liam and skips happily around the pen while Liam joyfully gets himself up, laughing as he dusts some of the mud off him. "Good one Virginia. I nearly had you this time."
Replying with a series of squeals, Virginia then rolls around in the mud for after a sweet victory like that, there was nothing like good old mud soaking against your skin. "Enjoy your victory while you can Virginia because next time I'm definitely going to win."
Giving out raspberry to that statement, all Virginia could do at the moment is laugh for no one is going to take the championship of pig wrestling away from her. Not by the hairs of her chinny, chin, chin.
Liam meanwhile headed back over to his friends with mud stains covering his clothes and skin. "Oh boy! That was some match wasn't it?"
"I thought you were going to beat her by the way you were holding her in that headlock." Rusty remarked, he never in his life thought that he would see someone using a headlock on a pig.
"Where did you learn to do that?" Clyde asked.
"My cousin Hattie taught me. She's the very grand champion of pig wrestling where she lives. In fact; she can defeat five large pigs with no sweat." Liam exclaimed proudly before looking back to Virginia. "It seems however that Virginia has some tricks up her hooves herself."
"Your definitely going to need a bath. Your all covered in mud." Stella laughed.
"Don't worry. I'm well prepared for this." Rushing over to the water hoes, Liam firmly washed the mud off him. Once he was finally done with his brief shower, he lets out a yawn. "There's nothing like pig wrestling to make you bushed. How about we head into the barn and hit the hay."
Being a bit tired themselves, the others agreed and went straight to the barn for bed. Once there; they use the horse stalls to change themselves into their pajamas before then crawling themselves into their sleeping bags, except for Clyde who held several plugs in his hand. "Are you sure the barn has enough power to run all these Liam?"
"No worries Clyde." Liam reassured. "The fancy new generators we recently installed will have no problem running all your gadgets and machines."
"Phew. That's good." Reaching for the plug socket, Clyde is happy to know that he wouldn't be causing a blackout.
The lights then suddenly went out, sending them all into complete darkness with only their blinking eyes being visible.
"Whoa Clyde! How much juice do those things have?" Rusty asked.
"That wasn't Clyde. He didn't even plug anything in." Stella spoke up in Clyde's defense.
"Did the generator run out of fuel or something?" Zach pondered, it was so dark in here, he could barely see his hands. Just then there was a faint light that illuminated them slightly. Glancing over to the light, they see it was coming from a gas powered lamp Liam had powered up.
"I'll go check them." Getting himself up from his sleeping bag. Liam left for the generators, leaving his friends to settle themselves down in their own sleeping bags. Laying there; they notice on how quiet it was, there weren't even any crickets chirping which was a rather bit odd, but oh well; perhaps it got a bit windy for them to chirp their nighttime songs.
Time slowly passed on and Liam hasn't returned yet, again a bit odd, but most likely, he was just simply getting his folks to help him out with the generators. Soon they slowly begin to shut their eyes, knowing full well that they will have a even more fun day when they wake up tomorrow morning .
Drifting themselves to sleep, they are suddenly awaken by a bright light that shined through the windows along with the bottom gaps of both the front and back doors. The light was so bright, they all had to shield their eyes from it as they all sat themselves up, but with this bright light also came a very strange humming sound.
"What is that?" Lincoln shouted, he could barely see from this bright light for it hurt his eyes whenever he opened them.
"If I'm not mistaken! I say that it's a UFO!" Zach exclaimed. He knew from all his research on UFO sightings; whenever there is a bright light and strange hum, it always indicated a alien spaceship. What was really worrying though is that usually when a UFO sighting is this close, it meant only one thing.
Meanwhile Clyde slowly opened his eyes and yelped for standing across from them is a tall, skinny figure with long skinny arms and legs, glowing white eyes, and a small mouth. Upon noticing the alien creature themselves; everyone else joined Clyde on screaming.
"LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" Rusty screamed, while shooting out of his sleeping bag. He along with his friends raced away for the front doors. Rushing outside, Stella is suddenly grabbed and teleported away in a flash.
Not noticing their missing friend from the panic they all felt. Lincoln and the others raced away from the barn, Clyde dares looked back and saw a triangular craft with three bright lights on each end, hovering a few inches above the barn. If this wasn't so terrifying, it would've been amazing to see a real life alien ship. If only he brought his anti-alien abduction hats, then they would've been safe.
Reaching the corn fields in record time, Rusty suddenly comes to a complete stop causing the rest of them to bump right into him.
"Uh. Why are we stopping?" Clyde asked in a panic.
"We are not going in a corn field." Rusty declared.
"Why not?"
"You kidding Clyde? Everyone knows that when some monster, psycho, or in this case aliens are chasing you. The last place you wanna go into is a corn field for someone is going to get grabbed, and I just know that someone is going to end up being me. It's horror movie 1o1 guys."
"Where else are we supposed to go then?" Zach asked him in frustration for this was no time to be picky, there was a literal UFO a few miles away. He needed to find a way to contact his parents for they are heavily prepared for these types of situations. All Zach needed to do is find a good place to hide, call them, then they would come here with all of the anti-alien equipment to scare the aliens off or even better capture one.
Skinny arms suddenly wrapped tightly around Zach's stomach as well as Rusty's. Letting out a yelp of surprise that was completely cut off, they both disappeared into thin air. Their sudden captured made Lincoln and Clyde scream loudly as they now run towards Liam's house for his parents might know what to do, but first they needed to hide and the best place to hide in this situation is in the basement.
Reaching the cellar doors, they pulled them open together and ran themselves down into the darkness. They think that they reached the middle of the basement, it was honestly so dark that they very much couldn't tell.
"You think we're safe down here?"
"I don't know Clyde, but let's remain quiet."
And that's what they did, they remain quiet with even their breaths slowing down in order not to make too much noise. They didn't know how much time has passed, but they think that the aliens may have given up on their pursuit of them, but that only meant that they are now doing nasty experiments on their friends, perhaps even probing; a topic that made them both visibly clenched their butts.
"Oh man Clyde. I hope they are not doing that to Rusty." Not receiving an answer, a cold chill goes through his spine.
The lights to the basement then turned on, revealing that Clyde was missing as well as an alien standing only a foot away from him. Letting out a scream the alien rushes at Lincoln.
