The Land of Ancestors were a relatively small country. It was comprised of nature, of mostly trees. The houses were all in huts-excluding the Emperor's, which was made of decent wood that could pass off as an ancient Daimyo castle.

The Emperor, Tenji was dressed in an Emperor's outfit comprised of purple sleeveless outfit that covered his inner kimono garment. He wore brown pants with Japanese footwear. His hair was tied in ponytails on each side of his head and the tips were tied upward. The hairstyle was natural in his era. And he also wore a single green tomoe necklace accessory.

"Toshio. Who is this person?" Tenji had asked while staring at the Hyūga Jōnin named Shigeo, whose upper body and arms were tied with rope.

"Tenji-sama. We do not know his name or where he came from. But, there's a possibility that this strange person is a spy from the Land of That." Toshio, Tenji's right-hand man answered.

"A spy... dressed like that?" Tenji asked as he stared at Shigeo's Jōnin outfit. "I don't ever think I've seen armor like this, before."

Flashback

On the previous night of when Shigeo Hyūga was transported into the past during the days of Kaguya... Shigeo Hyūga was suddenly approached by a group of soldiers dressed in less modernized and old fashioned Japanese armor.

"Stop right there!"

Shigeo heard a yell from his rear, Four o'clock and was quickly alerted. He turned around and pulled out a kunai from his back pouch. He also hid Karasuki by hiding it in his rear pouch where he keeps his tools. As he faced the voice, he gasped when he saw a group of people with spears and dressed in less modernized armor from around their chests and had their hair tied in buns from their sides. Shigeo Hyūga was approached by soldiers from the Land of Ancestors.

'Huh? Who the hell are these guys?' Shigeo thought as he stared at the group of soldiers.

"Drop your weapon!" Toshio demanded as he spotted Toshio's kunai. "We will show no mercy toward those who threatens or spy on the Land of Ancestors!"

"Hm?" Shigeo lowered his guard a bit. "The Land of... Ancestors?" Shigeo asked.

"That's right. If you are willing to prove that you are not an enemy, then drop your weapon and come with us." Toshio had demanded.

'These people are wearing less-fashioned armor and are using bows, arrows and spears as weapons instead of kunais and swords.' Shigeo thought as some of the soldier's weapons were pointed directly at his upper body. Shigeo then closed his eyes. 'Byakugan!' Shigeo had activated the Byakugan in both eyes.

Toshio and his group of soldiers gasped, confusingly as they saw veins appear around Shigeo's eyes.

"What's wrong with his eyes?" One of the soldiers muttered.

Shigeo used his Byakugan to check the soldier's chakra networks-only to discover that none of them possess chakra within them. 'It's no use. None of these people possess any chakra at all. They're just... normal people.' Shigeo then deactivated his Byakugan and raised his arms in the air as a sign of surrender. "I give up."

End Flashback

"We found this thing inside of this man's belongings." Toshio said as he held Karasuki, the Time Traveling turtle in his right hand presented it to Tenji.

"Be careful with that. It's an important treasure." Shigeo said.

"Silence!" Toshio yelled.

"An important treasure, eh?" Tenji asked as he looked at Karasuki. Then, he turned his full attention to Shigeo. "Hm... what is your name?" Tenji asked Shigeo.

"My name? It's Shigeo. Shigeo Hyūga." Shigeo had introduced himself to Tenji.

"Shigeo Hyūga... and where are you from, Shigeo?" Tenji asked.

"Where I'm from?" Shigeo asked. 'Oh, that's right. I forogt that I traveled all the way back in time-to the point where Shinobi and the Five Great Nations never became a thing, yet. What am I going to say?' Shigeo thought to himself, feeling a bit nervous.

"Tenji-sama asked you a question, so answer him, swiftly!" Toshio demanded.

"Now, now." Tenji brushed off Toshio's quick tempered personality. "Take your time." Tenji asked Shigeo.

"I... I am from a place called... the... the Land of Fire! That's it!" Shigeo told Tenji.

Tenji and Toshio looked at each other and raised a single brow at each other. "And where is this... the "Land of Fire" at?"

Shigeo begun to feel more nervous as Tenji asked about the whereabouts of the Land of Fire. 'The Land of Fire doesn't exist in this day and age!' Shigeo thought as he stared at Tenji. "It's really... really... really... really far away from the Land of Ancestors. When I say far away, I mean it's on the other side of the world." Shigeo had came up with an excuse for Tenji to buy.

"You've traveled from across the world?" Tenji asked.

"Um... yes." Shigeo had fed Tenji another excuse. "You see, I am what you call a "Shinobi."

Tenji's soldiers had gasped after hearing the word Shinobi.

Tenji raised his hand to lower everyone's voices. "Tell me. What is a Shinobi like you doing here in the Land of Ancestors?"

"You see... I was hired by my country's Daimyo to discover and retrieve a valuable treasure. And that treasure is that pink turtle that you have in your hands right now." Shigeo said.

Tenji looked down at Karasuki, whom is in his grasp. "Why does your Daimyo seek this treasure?"

"Because..." Shigeo had stopped himself as he tried to come up with a great excuse. "Because, it can grant great fortune to anyone that possesses it."

"Oh?" Tenji looked down at Karasuki, once more. "What kind of great fortune?"

"Legend has it that the pink turtle is magic. It can grant the wielder great things, such as immortality, good luck and support." Shigeo told Tenji.

The soldiers of the Land of Ancestors had gasped, believing Shigeo's bluff.

"Really..." Tenji blinked, once while looking at Karasuki. "Well if that's the case, I think I'll keep it."

"Eh?" Shigeo had gained an embarrassed look on his face after hearing Tenji. His mouth was half open. 'He's going to keep Karasuki?'

"Since this turtle can grant good luck as you said... I can definitely use it in my time of need." Tenji said.

"Time of need?"

"We are currently trying to keep the peace between the Land of Ancestors and the Land of That. In other words, we're trying to prevent war between our nations." Tenji then shook his head no. "Anyway, I have to ask, what's with your eyes?"

"My eyes?" Shigeo muttered. 'He must be talking about my Byakugan.'

"I'd hate to assume that you're blind." Tenji asked.

"Oh, no. I'm not..." Shigeo shook his head no. "This is a genetic thing that was passed down by my ancestors. I can still see as clear as day." Shigeo had answered.

"Interesting..." Tenji placed his left hand under his chin.

Ten Minutes Later...

After introducing himself to the Emperor of the Land of Ancestors... Shigeo Hyuuga was invited into the castle by Tenji, himself. Shigeo was asked to strip from his modern green Konoha Jonin jacket.

"Wow. This vest is something I've never even felt or witnessed before." Tenji said as he held Shigeo's jacket with his bare hands. "Tell me, Shigeo. Will this vest protect me from harm?"

Shigeo stood in the castle throne room and watched Tenji touch and look at his green Konoha Jonin vest. "I mean, if you're asking if my vest is able to withstand spears and arrows... I never really tested it out against them."

"This is really amazing. Not a single country I have visited has ever came close to developing the kind of wardrobe." Tenji smiled.

A Few Minutes Later...

Shigeo Hyūga was given a room to stay in within Tenji's castle. His room was a less Japanese traditional style. Shigeo lied down on the floormat thinking of everything that's happened, since the previous night. 'Everything seems... off. I could've sworn that Kaguya would've been here by now.'

Suddenly, two soft knocks were heard from behind the front room door. Shigeo turned his head toward the door.

"Come in." Shigeo had yelled toward the door.

Suddenly, the door to his room had slid open. And when it did, a woman had entered the room he was staying inside of. The woman's name was Aino and that she was a servant of Tenji. She had worn a simple pastel outfit over a black fitting shirt and maroon pencil shoulders. Her long dark brown hair was tied upwards, fastened a band of red cloth around her forehead.

Shigeo sat up and looked at the woman that approached him.

"Hello. I'm assigned to take care of your needs. My name is Aino and I was assigned to take care of your needs. Shigeo-san." Aino said as she groveled before Shigeo.

"You don't have to act so formal." Shigeo told Aino.

"But, I must. Besides, you played a big role in helping Tenji-sama." Aino raised her heat to see Shigeo.

"I did?"

Aino nodded. "You gave Tenji-sama the one thing that will aid him in stopping the Land of That from trying to invade this small country." Aino said with an honest smile on her face. "Thank you."

'Wait, is she talking about Karasuki, the turtle?' Shigeo had thought. He felt nervous about the lie he told to Tenji. "No, no. You don't have to thank me at all." He said shaking his hands and waving his arms.

"It has been a long time since Tenji-sama had visitors that attempted to aid him in his most time of need." Aino said as she leaned up on her knees.

"Um... yeah." Shigeo then stood up on his feet and walked toward the window in his room.

"Hm?" Aino stood up and walked next to Shigeo. "Are you observing that giant tree?"

Shigeo nodded his head. "Yeah. It's so big."

"Several millennia ago, that tree had appeared out of nowhere. No one knows where it came from or how it came to be. It grew right before our very eyes." Aino had explained to Shigeo.

"Really... has anyone ever approached the tree?" Shigeo asked Aino.

"Maybe..." Aino had a mild smile. "But I heard rumors that a frightening demon lives there and eats whoever approaches the tree and dies like a withered branch." Aino had told Shigeo the rumor.

'I mean, she's not wrong...' Shigeo had thought for a moment as he remembered what Karasuki had told him about the Shinju Tree. 'If what Karasuki said was true, then Kaguya might be coming here, soon. But the question is when?' As he continued staring at the Divine Tree from a distance next to Aino... he thought of something. "Hey, Aino?"

"Hm?" Aino looked at Shigeo.

"Is there anything you like to do for fun?" Shigeo asked Aino.

"Hm? Fun?" Aino asked in response.

How will Shigeo get Karasuki back and when will Kaguya come to Earth? Only time will tell. There will be more.
