Chapter Twenty-One: The Amyrlin's Punishment
"Nissa!" Alessia hissed from the other side of the bushes as the scent of burned flesh hit her nose. She gagged and covered her mouth. Her eyes were in horror.
"We have to help her!" Alessia whispered.
"We need a distraction." Tarna spoke. Alessia was quickly scanning the area again. They seemed to be in a group all together. There wasn't that many of them.
"Do exactly as I say." Liandrin began. "Alessia!" She hissed as Alessia ran from the bushes.
"Hey white cloaks!" She shouted. Creating a weave of air and flung her wrist forward. Creating an explosion that sent them flying.
"I told you to listen!" Liandrin shouted as they came from the bushes.
"I'm sorry!" Alessia shouted back. Watching Liandrin get rid of the fire with a simple wave of her hand. Alessia couldn't help but feel proud of her Liandrin. After all, the red ajah was very strong. She looked around and stood her ground. Calling upon the Source as it began to flow around her body again. It felt like an extension of her body now.
"Volley!" A man shouted. A wall of arrows were shot up in the air and fell. Alessia weaved quickly and created a shield around them. It was a large dome. Covering not only herself, but covering the two red ajahs and Nissa. Hearing the arrows hit her shield as they dropped. She inhaled and closed her eyes. She began to weave fire. The orange streams went around her as she weaved threads of fire. Opening her eyes and taking a single step back with one foot. Moving her arms in a fluid motion. It was neither fast nor slow. Creating a stance and flung her arms forward. Creating a trail of fire to cut them off from reaching them. Hearing a loud cry of pain. Alessia turned her heels and ran towards Nissa as Liandrin and Tarna getting Nissa down from the post. The girl was crying in pain as Alessia took her cloak off and wrapped it around her. She frowned as they carried her to the edge of the camp and out of sight. Alessia kept looking behind her to make sure they were not followed. They hoisted Nissa onto a horse as Tarna held her onto the horse while Liandrin mounted hers. Alessia climbed up behind Liandrin as they made their way out of the forest as fast as their horses could carry them.
"We're being followed!" Tarna shouted.
"Keep going! I have an idea!" Alessia shouted.
"What are you doing?!" Liandrin shouted as well. It was hard to hear from the wind.
"Trust me!" Alessia replied. She shifted herself on the horse. Facing the White Cloaks chasing them. She squeezed her legs to keep her balance. She was weaving on the back of a horse at full speed. Inhaling as she began to channel. Creating weaves of fire before sending a fireball at one. Causing an explosion as it made contact to the ground. She weaved again. Sending another. This time it was larger. They decided to stop and retreated. Thinking it was best not to pick a fight between two full Aes Sedai and one in training.
"Okay we are good!" Alessia shouted.
"What?" Tarna shouted back. Alessia shook her head as she raised her voice this time.
"They. No. Longer. Follow!" Alessia screamed as the air whipped through their ears.
"No stopping until we get back!" Liandrin ordered. They nodded. Alessia shifted herself again and grabbed a hold of Liandrin's waist. She frowned as she could hear Nissa crying from pain in the wind. Hoping they would make it back in time.
"Hold on just a bit longer Nissa!" Alessia shouted. She felt her heart drop as a groan came from the young Novice.
Tar Valon was now in sight as Alessia sighed a small relief. It seemed Nissa was stronger than she thought. She kept looking over to the young Novice. She was worried. She could feel Liandrin's worry as well. The gates were passed. They finally arrived at the Tower as Nissa was passed out from the pain. She quickly dismounted and tied the horses up as Tarna grabbed Nissa and carried the girl into the Tower. Liandrin and Alessia followed closely behind. It did not take long as they arrived at the yellow floor. Tarna kicked a door open and set Nissa down on the bed. Alessia saw her white cloak now covered in blood and yellow pus.
"Chesmal Sedai!" Tarna shouted as the woman in yellow came running in. Watching her pull the cloak off of Nissa. Alessia gasped and covered her mouth. Turning around as her eyes stung. Liandrin grabbed her shoulders and turned her back around. Making her watch the scene unfold before her eyes. Nissa was screaming out in pain again. Her flesh melted away from the fire. Chesmal had called over three more yellow sisters to aid her. They began their work quickly.
"This is what men do to women like us. Look at her. They hate that we have this kind of power and it bothers them that they cannot wield it." Liandrin spoke into Alessia's ear. The woman in red was not wrong. Men had done this to her. Alessia felt her own anger rise inside of her.
"Angry? Use it. Use that anger and avenge our sisters. They kill more and more every time as our numbers fall more and more." Liandrin added. Nissa was no longer crying out in pain as she was now asleep. The yellow sisters had healed the girl. She had burn scars covering her arms but she was alive. Alessia sighed a relief while frowning at her. Seeing the young Novice in pain was not on her list of things today. Shaking her head because Liandrin was right on everything she said.
"She needs to rest." Chesmal spoke as they nodded. Alessia gave the woman a bow before quickly taking her leave.
Alessia leaned against the wall and sighed. Looking down. She could feel eyes on her. She looked up and saw Liandrin crossing her arms. Looking at her.
"I'll accept whatever punishment you see fit but I could not just stand there!" Alessia frowned. Liandrin dropped her arms and grabbed Alessia's arms.
"What you did was brave. You acted without thinking yes. But what you did was good. Alessia, you are a true red ajah. You protected someone who was being treated with injustice. That is what we do. You were willing to risk your life protecting your sister's." Liandrin spoke as Tarna was smirking at her.
"What?" Alessia asked her.
"Hey white cloaks?" Her friend laughed. Hearing a chuckle from Liandrin as Alessia smiled.
"It was all I could think at the time to get their attention." Alessia spoke. Rolling her eyes.
"Hey not to mention. What you did on horseback. I have never seen anyone do that before." Tarna added.
"I am very impressed at what you did, my flower." Liandrin added. Alessia smiled weakly at this. She acted without thinking. She just went for it. Not caring if her life was at risk.
"Just. Never pull a stunt like that again please. I can't bear the idea of losing you." Liandrin spoke while pulling Alessia into a tight hug. She nodded her head and returned the hug. Hearing footsteps as Chesmal came out.
"She's awake." The women in yellow spoke. Alessia quickly left back into the room. Sure enough, Nissa was sitting up while looking straight forward.
"Nissa." Alessia spoke softly. The young Novice looked at her and sighed in relief. "Why did you run away?" Alessia asked as she sat down on the bed near her. Liandrin came in as well. Her hands behind her back while listening.
"I didn't! I swear I didn't! I was doing what Alanna Sedai asked me to do. Clean the stables out. I didn't leave. A man came out of nowhere and put a bag over my head and took me. Please don't be mad at me!" Nissa was on the verge of tears. Alessia gently placed a hand upon Nissa's shoulder.
"I believe you. I guess you were somewhere at the wrong time." Alessia spoke. Seeing the red ajah nod her head. "Get some rest. I'll check up on you later." Alessia spoke as Nissa nodded. Watching the girl lay down and turn her back towards them. Alessia stood up and left the room. Tarna was speaking with Sheriam before the woman in blue left. Alessia felt like something happened.
"What is it?" Liandrin asked as Tarna came up to them.
"The Amyrlin Seat wished to speak to us in the Hall." Tarna spoke. Alessia felt goosebumps rise on her arms.
She felt her whole body become nervous as she was pacing back and forth.
"Alessia. You're making me nervous." Liandrin spoke as Alessia stopped.
"Sorry." She said and stood behind Liandrin and Tarna.
"She's ready for you now." Leane's voice spoke. The doors opened as the two red ajah took the lead. Alessia was behind them. Her hands folded in front of her and her head bowed. She took her spot between the two reds and bowed to Siuan. All the sitters were in the Hall as well. It felt weird having several eyes upon her.
"Mother. You are looking well." Liandrin spoke as Siuan nodded her head. The woman did not smile. Alessia gulped at this.
"Are you nervous, my daughter?" Siuan asked. It took a moment for Alessia to realize she was being spoken to.
"Yes, Mother." Alessia spoke softly.
"Come forward." Siuan spoke. Alessia stepped a few times forward and stopped. Looking at the woman in white gold clothing.
"Why are you nervous daughter?" Siuan asked.
"I disobeyed an order." Alessia replied.
"Why?"
"A sister was in trouble. I acted without thinking." Alessia replied.
"Your actions were not only inexcusable. They were reckless!" Siuan spoke up. Alessia frowned. "On your knees." Siuan spoke. Alessia fell to her knees without hesitation.
"You will pick up extra chores and take the switch for the next two months for your actions and hope you let this be a lesson to listen to your sisters. They have more experience than you." Siuan spoke as Alessia nodded.
"Yes mother." She replied softly.
"You will remain on your knees until I dismiss you." Siuan spoke as Alessia bowed her head in response. "Now. I was also told that without you, they could have not gotten away alive." Siaun spoke as Alessia looked up with a confused look.
"I heard you did an impressive use of the Source. Never in my years have I heard about an Accepted use weaving on horseback. Your quick thinking saved not only the Novice but two of your sisters." Siuan spoke as Alessia smiled weakly. "That is why I have decided not to punish you severely. Be grateful, daughter."
"I am, mother. Thank you." Alessia replied.
"It has come to my attention that you Tarna Sedai and Liandrin Sedai that you have been training this Accepted in the art of shielding. She had best be the best shielder this Tower has ever seen." Siuan spoke.
"She's getting faster at it, mother." Tarna spoke. Siuan's eyes went from Alessia to the two red ajah behind her.
"So, advance her training. Light, we could use the power she holds to help us in the Final Battle." Siuan spoke. "You are all dismissed." Siuan spoke. Alessia stood up and bowed to the Amyrlin Seat before following the reds out of the Hall. Her heart was beating rather fast. She felt someone touch her shoulder as the doors were closed behind them. Alessia leaned against the wall and let out a shuddered breath. Her heart still hasn't stopped beating so fast against her chest.
"You got off easy. The Amyrlin seat could have kicked you out but since you were truthful. She decided to keep you." Tarna spoke while crossing her arms. Alessia glared at her with daggers in her eyes.
"Alright, enough you two." Liandrin spoke. Holding Alessia's shoulder. "We are grateful that she didn't. I don't think she would ever toss Alessia out. Not when she is one of the strongest channelers we have." Liandrin added.
"That is true." Tarna added.
"What did she mean?" Alessia asked as both reds looked at her. "To advance my training?" She asked.
"It means that she wants us to throw everything we know at you." Tarna replied. Alessia frowned at this. She was already having a hard time weaving more than two elements at once. Now she was expected to pick up the pace.
"So, she is going to be put under the best ajah of each color for training." Tarna added.
"That's Chesmal for yellow. Adeleas for brow. Moiraine for blue. Liandrin for red. Alanna for green." Tarna spoke while holding her fingers up as she was counting.
"I thought Moiraine was exiled?" Alessia asked.
"She was. Mother will either call her back for the training or send you to her." Tarna spoke. Alessia frowned as her heart fell. Send her away to Moiraine.
"Hey." Liandrin spoke while cupping both of her cheeks. "It'll be alright. We won't be separated forever." Liandrin spoke. Reassuring Alessia as she nodded.
"I swear you two make me gag. Just get married already!" Tarna laughed before crossing her arms again. Alessia felt her cheeks flush at this as did Liandrin's. The thought had never crossed her mind at all.
"Anyways. I guess I'll have to study harder and train harder. Push myself more." Alessia spoke.
"I will help you with everything in my power to help you become an Aes Sedai. You know this." Liandrin spoke as Alessia nodded.
"I'm going to help as well. You are literally the first outside of red that I like. I'm glad we are friends." Tarna spoke as she held a hand out to Alessia who took it. Making a promise right then and there. Hearing a bell rang as dinner was over. Alessia frowned as her stomach growled.
"When was the last time you ate?" Tarna asked while laughing. Truth be told. Alessia hadn't eaten at all today.
"Liandrin, take her to the red sitting room. I'll grab us dinner." Tarna spoke.
She found herself sitting at a small round table. Tarna on her right as Liandrin on her left. She was listening to the two talk about the recent events.
"Remind me not to get on your back side, Alessia." Tarna spoke.
"Huh?" Alessia asked. She was absorbed in eating her food slowly.
"Liandrin, your flower has thorns." Tarna spoke while eating her bread.
"I know. I'm so proud of her." Liandrin praised. Alessia blushed at this and munched on her bread. She felt Liandrin push back a stray hair behind her ear. She smiled at the contact. Hearing the door open and closed as another red came in. It was Melinda. The woman was nearly skipping over to them.
"Is it true?" She asked. Alessia raised a brow.
"Is what, true?" Tarna asked.
"That Alessia was weaving on horseback?" Melinda asked.
"By the light, word travels fast in the Tower." Alessia sighed and shook her head. Eating her soup now.
"It is true." Tarna spoke as Melinda gasped.
"You should teach me how to do that!" The younger red spoke. Alessia looked at her.
"Only if you can keep up, Melinda Sedai." Alessia smirked at her. Hearing a chuckle from her two favorite reds. Melinda only smiled and nodded.
"Alright Melinda Sedai, we are having a private conversation." Tarna spoke as Melinda nodded and bowed before taking her leave. Alessia felt grateful for Melinda being sent away. She had a feeling that she was going to be a celebrity the next few days. She finished her dinner as did the other two. Alessia gathered their dishes.
"You should get some rest." Tarna spoke as she gently grabbed Alessia's wrist.
"I know but I need to set an example. Plus, I told Nissa I would check up on her." Alessia spoke as her friend nodded before taking her leave. She could feel Liandrin wrapping her arms around her waist. Alessia leaned against the woman in red and smiled. Feeling her heart swell with the love she was feeling.
"You did good today. I am so proud of you." Liandrin spoke softly in her ear.
"I have the best mentors." Alessia replied. Smiling as she looked into the blue eyes. She leaned in and gave Liandrin a loving kiss. Feeling the older woman's lips against her own made her heart flutter. She smiled into the kiss before pulling back.
"I best be off to get my chores done." Alessia spoke.
"Of course my love. Join me in my room once you are done." Liandrin spoke as Alessia nodded.
"Oh, Liandrin?" Alessia asked as the woman looked at her. "Can you mask yourself before the switch? I don't want you to feel the pain." She asked with a frown. Liandrin nodded her head. Watching the woman take her leave. Seeing the sway in her hips and blushed. She wasn't even trying to hide it!
Alessia made it to the kitchens as it went silent. She looked around as the Novices all ran up to her with a million questions. She could see Egwene and Nynaeve watching her. She pushed back past them to stand with her two best friends.
"What happened?" Nynaeve asked. Alessia started to wash the dishes.
"I got sent out on a mission." Alessia spoke while starting with cups.
"We heard about Nissa. Is she going to be okay?" Egwene asked. Alessia nodded her head.
"Yeah. She'll have scars but she will live." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"What exactly happened?" Egwene asked.
"Well, Alanna Sedai reported her running away when she was actually kidnapped by White Cloaks. Liandrin Sedai, Tarna Sedai and I were tasked to go after her and bring her back. The White Cloaks were burning her at the stake." Alessia frowned while remembering her archway test. "She'll be alright." Alessia spoke again while working on the plates now.
"Of course she will, thanks to you. We heard what happened. Weaving on horseback. Now that's some power!" One of the Novices said as they all nodded in agreement. Alessia couldn't help but smile at this. She now finished her dishes and dried them. Putting them up. She didn't want to use the Source to help her finish quicker. Siuan wanted her to do extra chores as punishment. She was going to do them right.
"I have to go." Alessia spoke as she hugged Egwene and then Nynaeve as they gave her a confused look.
"I am getting the switch. I disobeyed an order on the mission. So, I am facing the consequences of my actions." Alessia explained as they nodded. Alessia could not feel Liandrin right now. Hoping the woman in red masked her from the feeling she was about to get. She climbed the stairs to the blue floor. Taking a few deep breaths. Knocking on Sheriam's door.
"Come in." A voice spoke. It sounded demanding. Alessia stepped inside and closed the door. She looked at the woman in blue when she pulled out her rod.
"On your knees dear." The woman spoke. Alessia nodded and got on her knees. Feeling her dress pulled over her shoulder. Revealing her bare back and shoulder.
"Five lashes for the next two months. Right after dinner chores." Sheriam spoke as she read from the scroll. "Do you know why?" The woman asked.
"For disobeying an order." Alessia replied.
"Correct." Sheriam spoke without letting her know. She felt the first hit and bit her tongue. Feeling her eyes sting. Second hit. She folded her hands in her lap and squeezed them together. Third hit. She felt tears falling from her cheeks. Fourth hit. She let go of her tongue in fear of biting it too hard. Fifth hit. She was done. Wiping her eyes.
"You may go." Sheriam spoke. Alessia nodded and bowed to the woman before taking her leave. Her shoulders were hurting. Hoping Liandrin did not feel the pain she just felt.
She went down the stairs to the yellow floor. It was still dark out. The moon high in the night sky as shadows danced across the walls from the flickering of the candles. Alessia knocked on a door and opened it. Nissa was sitting up in bed as Egwene was speaking to her. Alessia smiled and walked over to them.
"How are you feeling?" Alessia asked.
"Better. They said I can go back to normal tomorrow." Nissa smiled. Alessia took the young Novice's hand and squeezed it.
"Good. I am glad to hear that." Alessia spoke.
"Are you okay Alessia? Your eyes are red." Nissa asked.
"Yeah. Just facing my punishment." Alessia nodded.
"For what, saving my life?" Nissa frowned. Alessia shook her head.
"No, I disobeyed an order. So, I will face consequences for my actions." Alessia said again. She took a deep breath but smiled.
"I heard what you did. Thank you." Nissa spoke while hugging Alessia. She was tense a little before returning the hug.
"For what it's worth, I am glad you three came." Nissa spoke. Alessia nodded her head lightly. "If Alanna Sedai hadn't reported me running away, I would have been dead." Nissa added. Alessia frowned and squeezed the girl's hand.
"I am glad you are here. The Aes Sedai numbers are falling because of unchecked actions like the White Cloaks." Alessia spoke as she frowned at this.
"Well, I am going to train harder now." Nissa spoke. Egwene nodded her head as well. Alessia smiled. She felt proud of them.
"Don't give up alright? Even when it feels like the road is at the end, keep pushing forward." Alessia spoke. Nissa nodded her head again.
"I'll take those words to heart." Nissa spoke with a smile.
"Good. Now get some rest." Alessia spoke as she stood up. Touching Nissa's shoulder before taking her leave. Egwene followed her.
"I hate seeing this happen to innocent people who don't deserve this." Egwene spoke. Alessia nodded her head in agreement as they made their way down the hallway.
"We are supposed to be Aes Sedai. Helping those who cannot help themselves. Keeping the peace." Alessia frowned and leaned against the wall. Egwene was watching her. She took a deep breath and looked at her friend.
"We have to do better." Egwene spoke. Alessia nodded. Her friend was right. They walked in silence the rest of the way. Alessia gave Egwene a hug before taking her leave as her friend went to bed. She made her way up the stairs to the red floor again. No one was out. It was past curfew now. She didn't get caught for some reason. Not pushing her luck as she moved quickly. Finding Liandrin's door and letting herself in. The woman in red was looking outside. She was in her long white nightgown. Drinking a glass of wine before turning to face her. Alessia felt the older woman unmask as a wave of emotion hit her. She inhaled a breath as she closed her eyes. Allowing the emotions to flow through her. She opened her eyes and walked over to Liandrin who was watching her. The older woman set her glass down before pulling Alessia into a hug. She hugged Liandrin tightly. Holding the woman close. Inhaling her scent as it was familiar and filled her mind as she shivered.
"You alright my love?" Liandrin asked as Alessia nodded. She winced a little as the older woman's hand went over the sore spot on her back. Feeling the woman stand behind her. Removing her dress as it fell to the floor. Soft kisses across her shoulders. She shivered again at the feeling. Not from being cold. She smiled softly and closed her eyes. Loving every gentle touch Liandrin was giving her. She turned to face the woman and rested her forehead against hers.
"What's on your mind, love? I can feel it." Liandrin asked as Alessia frowned and sat down on the bed. Liandrin had made herself comfortable in bed before pulling Alessia to her. She was lying next to the older woman in bed. Covers pulled up and arms around each other.
"Talk to me my love. I cannot read your mind yet." Liandrin spoke.
"Yet?" Alessia gave a questioning look then remembered what Lan had told her.
"Our bond will get stronger the more time we are together. Eventually I will be able to read you." Liandrin spoke as Alessia nodded.
I can't help but feel like the White Cloaks are targeting the Aes Sedai for some reason." Alessia spoke.
"They think we draw the One's Power from the Darkness. They are fools to think that. They are their own righteous beings thinking they are doing the Light's work." Liandrin spoke. Alessia frowned at this.
"But the Aes Sedai are servants to all. How can we help others when the world hates us?" Alessia asked.
"And she finally sees it." Liandrin spoke as Alessia raised a brow at her lover. "Asking questions no one else does. You saw it first hand today. They are men who hold much of this world. Because they can't wield the Source, they intend to destroy it. They can't stand women being stronger than them." Liandrin spoke. Alessia could feel Liandrin's hate for the men again.
"Liandrin?" Alessia asked softly while looking up to the ceiling.
"Yes my love?" Liandrin asked while caressing Alessia's cheek with a finger.
"I want to become the best Aes Sedai I can be. I want to be strong like you, like Tarna. Like Alanna and Moiraine." Alessia spoke. She closed her eyes and leaned into Liandrin's touch.
"You are already so strong my love." She felt the older woman pull her on top and Alessia smiled.
"Only because I have the best mentors guiding me." Alessia spoke. Hearing a soft chuckle before leaning in to kiss her deeply and lovingly. Alessia could feel her love flowing to Liandrin who smiled into the kiss. There they laid entangled with each other all night. Alessia had lost count how many times they made each other feel good. Not wanting the night to end as she wanted to show Liandrin how much she loves this woman and how she was grateful she had her in her life.
Night had left quickly when morning came. Alessia mumbled softly as a finger was tracing her cheek. She smiled and opened her eyes. Only to see the light blue ones looking into hers. She smiled and blushed before looking away. Only to feel Liandrin pull her face back to look at her. Feeling several kisses as Alessia chuckled lightly. She leaned up only to feel the cold air hit her naked body. Pulling the covers backup to hide her body. Liandrin caught on and smirked. Pulling the covers away before pushing her back down on the bed. Climbing on top.
"Don't hide from me." Liandrin cooed in her ear before kissing her neck. Alessia shivered at this. Running her fingers up and down Liandrin's sides as she could feel the build up between her legs from Liandrin.
"We should get going." Alessia spoke lightly with a smile. Liandrin nodded. "Or we won't be able to leave bed at all today." She added. Hearing a chuckle as the older woman agreed and got out of bed. Alessia blushed at the sight. She was loving what she saw before she got dressed as well. Her shoulders were no longer hurting. Hearing a knock on Liandrin's door. Alessia remained where she was as the woman in red went to answer it. It was Tarna who came into the room and spotted Alessia and smirked.
"Have a good night last night?" Her friend asked as Alessia rolled her eyes.
"Oh shuddup you! Or I will shield you!" Alessia spoke. She could feel the pride coming from Liandrin.
"Empty threats. You better start backing them up!" Tarna teased before focusing her attention back to the older red ajah.
"As if it's any of your business." Liandrin spoke for her but Alessia could feel Liandrin's fluttering heart from the words.
"What's going on?" Alessia asked as Tarna crossed her arms.
"Well, the Amyrlin seat wants us to go and grab a Wilder that is causing trouble in a couple towns over and bring her to the Tower." Tarna spoke. Liandrin nodded her head before moving across her room to get her things ready.
"I thought girls had to come on their own if they want to be trained by the Tower? Well, I am going to miss you two." Alessia spoke while looking between the two of them.
"Oh, she said you're coming with us but under strict instructions to listen to our orders. Also, the girl is a threat so we usually go and grab them and bring them back for safety reasons." Tarna spoke. Alessia nodded her head. It seemed like she was given a second chance. "Honestly, I'd rather have you and Liandrin with me than anyone else." Tarna added.
"I thank you for the confidence you have in me." Alessia smiled.
"I mean after the stunts you pulled yesterday, can you blame me?" Tarna asked.
"Don't remind me. I'm going to be sore for the next two months and not in a good way." Alessia spoke. Hearing Tarna roar with laughter as she could feel Liandrin's feelings on that. It was a mixture of pride and lust. Also a little bit of happiness.
"Go get packed. We'll be gone for a few days. Hopefully this Wilder doesn't burn out before we get to her." Tarna spoke while still laughing and shaking her head. Alessia took her leave to grab her things. She was still smirking at her own words as she went to her room. Seeing Egwene and Nynaeve there waiting for her.
"Where are you going?" Egwene asked.
"The Amyrlin Seat sent me on another mission." Alessia explained.
"So that's the life of an Accepted?" Nynaeve asked.
"I guess? I think it's to help gain experience or something." Alessia spoke as she opened her door and let the two in. Hearing a small gasp as Egwene looked around the room.
"I like this better than the Novices." Egwene smiled as Alessia nodded her head.
"We will get you there. Don't worry." Alessia reassured her friend. She gave them both a hug before taking her leave. She would be meeting Tarna and Liandrin at the stables again. She took a deep breath as she made her way. Listening to orders this time around. She would not fail this time. She was going to keep reminding herself this.
"You ready?" Tarna asked as Alessia nodded her head. She mounted the horse behind Liandrin again. Holding onto her waist as they made their way out of Tar Valon again.
