UFO

Original lyrics to "Harold the Helicopter" by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell

With the war having been over for several months, Thomas and Andrea decided to take the honeymoon they had postponed. So, in April 1946, they visited the Island of Sodor where they caught up with Meridian, who was now working at Arlesburgh Harbour alongside another tug named Drollan. Drollan used to be lazy and unmotivated, but when war broke out, he changed his attitude and is now a hard worker.

Thomas and Andrea also met the engines of the Mid Sodor Railway, and an engine named Tasha who ran the Arlesburgh branch line. The couple came across Maeve and Placido, who were working at a logging company near Cronk. As for Henney and Lexi, the former was now working at a colliery near Wakefield, whilst the latter was working at a steelworks near Bridlington. This information was given to them by a tug named Lucinda, who worked at Brendam, with Lexi and Henney passing on their regards.

Thomas and Andrea even visited the Skarloey Railway where they travelled to Lakeside via wagonettes, and were surprised to discover a paddle steamer named Lakesider III who was of the same design as O.J.. What was even more surprising was that Lakesider III turned out to be one of O.J.'s old colleagues, Evangeline. When Lakesider III learned that O.J. was still around, she was overjoyed, as was O.J. when Thomas and Andrea told him the news.

A few months later in October, more exciting news came – Andrea was pregnant and they were expecting a girl.

By now, it was July 1947, and a peculiar incident had occurred in Roswell, New Mexico. There had been reports of a "flying saucer", and Roswell Army Air Field's press release was broadcast via wire transmission. The Army quickly retracted the release, falsely stating the crashed object was merely a conventional weather balloon. Because the Roswell incident took place during the flying disc craze of 1947, this didn't stop the speculation, as was evident when Venus was discussing it with Zelda, Zion and Captain Lucky at Lucky's Yard. Venus had been undergoing maintenance and was just having her final inspection. By now, it was late at night.

"I can't understand it," Captain Lucky said, scratching her head. "I trust the Army as much as the next American, but this statement does seem suspicious."

"Life beyond earth?" scoffed Zion . "Don't make me laugh."

"Oh, come on," chuckled Zelda. "I think it would be fascinating to meet foreign lifeforms."

"It's unlikely, but still possible," Venus chuckled. "Hercules told me about the White Fleet incident from 1922 and how most of the Stars and Z-Stacks thought they were ghosts. Although, it was more a case of Captain Zero insisting on him, Captain Star, Hercules and Zob keeping their presence a secret and the White Fleet were just here looking for an iceberg."

"That's right, Venus," replied Captain Lucky. "Captain Zero had to make a lot of apologies to the others, especially since Hercules was angry that Ten Cents had a shell shock incident over it."

"Ever since the war ended, I've heard that they're now calling shell shock 'battle fatigue'," said Zion. "Why'd they change up the meaning? The old one makes more sense. I mean… when Ten Cents had shell shock, he wasn't in a battle."

"Maybe they think it doesn't hurt as much as 'shell shock'," suggested Zelda. "Though it does take a bit longer to say. Though you do have a point… Ten Cents was just very badly shaken after the White Fleet showed up."

Just then, a worker came up to her. "We've finished Venus' inspection," he said, "and she's passed."

"Excellent! Thank you, Daniel," replied Captain Lucky, before turning to Venus. "I'll let Captain Star know you're on your way back, dearie. But be careful, heavy fog is on its way."

"Thank you, Captain Lucky," replied Venus as she headed for home. "Well, goodbye, dears, and thanks again."

"Bye, Venus," called Zelda and Zion.

Just as Venus left, the fog rolled in quickly. Luckily, she had her lights on and she knew what landmarks to look out for. Then, she heard a strange whirring sound and could have sworn she had lights hovering above her. A few seconds later, the lights disappeared. Venus was rather surprised by this.

"The fog must be playing tricks on me," she muttered to herself. She continued to coast down the river, and jumped as she heard another sound. "Okay, who's playing a joke? Is that you, Ten Cents?"

However, the hooter that sounded out told another story.

"Dae Ah leuk like a switcher tae ye, lass?"

"Oh, Big Mac!" Venus cried in surprise. "I do apologise. What are you doing up this late?"

"Thare wis an urgent rock delivery Ah haed tae tak care o'," Big Mac explained. "Still rebuildin' after th'… ye know." He smiled slightly. "Ye shoud have seen myself 'n' Warrior competin' wi Zorran, Zebedee 'n' Ariel. Heh, despite it bein' 2 an 3, it wis a ticht 'race'."

"I understand what you mean, sweetie," said Venus. "But I'm glad relations between the Stars and the Z-Stacks have improved massively since Ariel and I replaced Zak and Zeus."

"Aye, ye 'n' Ariel have been a massive help," admitted Big Mac. "Plus, we'll niver have tae worry aboot thae twa again."

"Yes, you're right," replied Venus. "Zip is thrilled she's not the only girl in the Z-Stacks anymore, not just with me and Ariel but also Penny."

"Sunshine has been on us aboot thon for ages," chuckled Big Mac. "Maybe ane day another female tug will join us."

"Come on," giggled Venus. "We'd better hurry home. I don't want Hercules to be too lonely up the coast any longer, or Zip to get worried about me."

"Ah reckon Warrior will be wonderin' where Ah got tae," replied Big Mac.

With that, the two tugs set off for home.

"Ye know, Venus," Big Mac said, "syne ye arrived, Ah've been growin' feelings for ye."

"R-really?" replied Venus, blushing slightly. "Well, I've been growing feelings for you as well. But during the war and reconstruction… we haven't had time to really think about this, have we?"

"Nae," admitted Big Mac. "But now thon things are calmer… let's see where things gae fae here…"

"Understood," agreed Venus.

As soon as they returned to a place between the Star and Zero Docks, Venus told the rest of the Z-Stacks and the Star Fleet about her strange encounter.

"And you say that you heard hovering?" asked Zob.

"I've never known a plane to do that before," said Warrior.

"Maybe they're testin' out a new prototype," suggested Sunshine.

"But why try it out at night?" asked Zip.

"Perhaps they wanted maximum secrecy," replied O.J..

"Well, Pisces said that she, Stormy, O'Malley and Alonso had similar encounters last night," replied Moonlight.

"Just what we needed," groaned Zebedee. "A UFO in Bigg City Port right after the incident in Roswell!"

"Oh, please, don't go there," groaned Top Hat. "The last thing we need is another White Fleet incident."

"We dinnae know if it is aliens," insisted Big Mac.

"Aliens in Bigg City?" scoffed Zorran. "After what we had to deal with a few years ago, I think we can handle it."

"I just hope they're friendly, if they are out there," said Zug.

"Me too," sighed Ariel. "I still get nightmares from the actual invasion that occurred."

"You mean when Ursula tried to take over Bigg City?" asked Penny.

"D-don't remind me," gulped Zilly.

"I'll have a word with Captain Star and see if he can look into it," replied Hercules.

"I'll do the same with Captain Zero," said Venus.

"In the meantime, we'd keep our eyes open," said Ten Cents.

"And get some sleep too," said Grampus. "What would our Captains say if we're all sleep deprived?" Everyone else agreed.

The next morning, Zorran, Zug, Moonlight and O.J. were up river, collecting timber. They saw Pisces, Stormy, O'Malley and Alonso.

"Morning, O.J., Moonlight, Zorran, Zug," called O'Malley. "How's Venus doing?"

"She passed her inspection with flying colours," replied Zug, "but a peculiar thing happened on her way back."

"She saw a UFO too, didn't she?" asked Stormy.

"Mmm-hmm," replied Moonlight.

"May I ask what happened with you four?" asked O.J..

"Well…" began Alonso.

I was collecting an old ship – non-sentient, mind you – for scrap. It had been neglected and years of weathering had corroded it severely. I was halfway between Mittsville and Uptown when I heard some strange whirring sounds.

"That's strange," I said to myself. "I never heard anything like this before."

Then came the flashlights. I stopped briefly, mesmerised by the flashing lights. But just as suddenly as they appeared, the lights disappeared again. I couldn't work out what had just happened, so after a few more seconds, I continued on my way.

"What about you, Pisces and Stormy?" asked Moonlight.

"You can tell them, Pisces," grumbled Stormy. "I have no interest in doing so." So, Pisces began her story…

Stormy and I had rescued a tramp steamer that had run aground and taken it to Lucky's Yard.

"Well," I said, "I'm glad no one was severely killed or injured."

"That's great and all," snapped Stormy, "but I want to get back before Scorpio takes my favourite spot at the Salvage Dock."

I just rolled my eyes and sighed. But as we headed back for Mittsville, I heard something.

"Can you hear something?" I asked.

Stormy listened. "Did someone buy a new seaplane as a companion for Sally?" she asked.

"It doesn't sound like a plane," I replied.

"Pisces! Look!" gasped Stormy. I looked up to see some flashing lights. Then, the strange object disappeared.

"We'd better get back to Mittsville before anything else happens," I said. Stormy agreed.

"I was just mooring up at the munitions factory for the day when I saw them," said O'Malley. "Sea Rogue had a delivery to a client in Mittsville, hence why he didn't see it."

"I see," said O.J.; this mystery was really peculiar. Just then, they heard loud screaming.

"That's Misty!" gasped Pisces. The tugs rushed over and saw Misty crying hysterically, Hail and Robin looking concerned for their friend, Ember wearing a look of righteous anger, and Scorpio adopting the sort of caught-in-the-act expression that only a small child can get right, knowing she was in trouble. The other tugs put two-and-two-together.

"Let me guess," groaned Stormy. "Scorpio's been teasing Misty… again."

"Yes," growled Ember.

"Okay, Misty," said O'Malley as he went to comfort her. "Calm down. Everything's alright now."

"We were discussing the recent encounters with the aliens," explained Hail. "Misty was getting scared, then Scorpio used Misty's fear of the dark to her advantage, and…"

"Yes, yes! We get it!" sighed Zorran. "Scorpio likes to be an instigator."

"A what?" asked Misty.

"That means she was trying to get your goat," explained Pisces.

"But I don't have a goat," replied Misty. "How would I get one all the way out at sea?"

"It's a figure of speech," explained Alonso. "It means Scorpio was trying to upset you."

"And she succeeded by the looks of it," growled Stormy.

"Well, it's not my fault Misty is a baby who's scared of the dark!" grumbled Scorpio.

"I'm sorry…" said Misty sadly. "I wish I was brave."

"Now, girls," said O.J., "being scared doesn't make you a baby. I was scared when Burke, Blair, Hans and Corona held me and Warrior hostage, but I kept calm, knowing the others would come and rescue us, which they did."

"And Sunshine faced her fear of the Poison Plant trio when they held Stormy and Hail hostage," added Pisces.

"Mmm-hmm," agreed Moonlight. "Then we have Ten Cents facing his fear of explosions so he could rescue Zebedee. And Zug was just as brave, facing off those who tried to kill him."

"Well… thanks, Moonlight," smiled Zug.

"And what about Top Hat?" added Stormy. "He was afraid of being blown up during the munitions disaster, given what… almost happened to Zelda, but twenty years later, he faced his fears and saved Zip from being blown up. Plus, Top Hat lived to tell the tale."

"Sort of ironic," said O.J.. "He was the one who said he didn't want a direct hit when we were saving Grampus. And yet…"

"Well, I'm glad that Top Hat and Zelda are reunited now, with her being owned by Captain Lucky," said Robin.

"You know," said Ember, "Zilly is another example of this. He was well known for being nervous and jumpy, but he faced his fears to rescue Davy Jones from that building, and again when he saved you from that torpedo, O.J.."

"That's a good point, Ember," said Zorran. "Again, Zilly survived the attack. You know, I was scared of the possibility of Bigg City being invaded, which was the reason I signed up in the first place."

"And we're glad you did, Zorran," said O'Malley, before turning to Misty. "You see, Misty, bravery doesn't mean you're scared. Bravery is doing what you're afraid to do. If you can face your fears, then I know you can find the courage to beat them."

"Thank you, O'Malley," replied Misty with a small smile.

That evening, Misty and Scorpio had gone to rescue Izzy Gomez, who had run aground trying to sneak into port… again.

"This is ridiculous," grumbled Scorpio. "Old Izzy never learns, does he? He ends up stuck on some rock foundations and having to pay a fine. Then he gets spooked by ghosts. And yet, he still tries to avoid the towing fee."

"Third time's a charm, I guess… What's that?" asked Misty. Scorpio stopped and heard a strange whirring sound, followed by flashing lights.

"That must be the UFO!" cried Scorpio. Then a spotlight flashed onto her and she let out a scream. Then, the strange object disappeared.

"Hey!" Misty said with a smirk. "You got scared."

"N-No, I didn't!" insisted Scorpio. As the two tugs continued towards Izzy Gomez, Misty kept teasing her sister.

The next night, it was Puffa and Kirke's turn to have an encounter. They were on their way from Uptown.

"Nothing like a calm run in the evening," Puffa said to Kirke.

"Indeed," said Kirke. "Henney loved these runs. I… I wonder how she's going in the United Kingdom."

"Maybe our crews can drop a letter to her," suggested Puffa. Then he heard an unusual sound. "Did you hear that, engineer?" he asked.

"Yes," replied the engineer. "And… are those… lights?"

"They are," said Kirke. "Maybe this is the UFO everyone else has been seeing!"

Then, just as quickly as it appeared, the strange object disappeared again.

Over the next few nights, everyone had strange encounters with the UFO. Chimera was bringing in a boat who had been given the Final Firing after being diagnosed with Metal Fatigue, which is a sentient vehicle's equivalent to a terminal illness.

"Find peace up in the Moonlight Oceans, my good tug," she whispered. No sooner had she said that, when some strange lights appeared and a strange whirring noise echoed.

"Odd," she said. "I don't recall the Moonlight Oceans being this vibrant before."

Zelda and Zion were storing away engineering parts for Captain Lucky, who was getting ready to go home.

"Nice work, dearies," said Captain Lucky. "Now, you two get some rest and I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you, ma'am," the two tugs called. They headed for a mooring just near Sally's hanger.

"How are you doing tonight, Sally?" asked Zion.

"Just fine," she smiled. "I trust you two had a good day?"

"Never a bad day with Captain Lucky," chuckled Zelda. "How did the water look from the air?"

"Calm and still," beamed Sally. "None of the tugs got into any incidents, and thankfully, no ships were in distress."

"Moonlight should be in for his maintenance soon," giggled Zelda. "You would be so disappointed, Sally."

"Oh, stop it," laughed Sally. "I'm sure he'll be fit as a fiddle."

Just then, some lights flashed across the sky.

"Is that… another plane?" asked Zion.

"I don't know…" gasped Zelda. "That doesn't look anything like Sally."

"And I don't make a noise like that," said Sally as she heard the whirring.

"Great, just what we needed," scoffed Zion. "Aliens…"

Hercules was heading home after escorting Delta Queen out to sea.

"Another job well done," he said to himself. "I think I'll go and see Lillie before heading back to… Hello, what's that?"

The ocean going tug glanced up to see the lights darting across the sky and heard the strange whirring sound.

"Hmm? How peculiar," said Hercules. "This is getting very strange indeed…"

The morning after Hercules' encounter, Zob and Top Hat were at the Railhead with Frank and Eddie. Little Owl was shunting log cars onto the car floats. Whilst she was doing that, they were discussing the mystery of the UFO.

"It sounds very peculiar," put in Porter.

"I'll say," agreed Little Owl, who had just shunted the last log car onto Eddie.

"I take it these are bound for the main line," said Zob.

"Yes, indeed," replied Little Owl. "The Norfolk and Western need them to replace some worn out sleepers. One of their engines is coming up to Bigg City to collect them."

"Makes sense," replied Zob. "We'll be on my way then."

"Have a good day, Little Owl and Porter," called Top Hat.

With a blast of their hooters, the railway tugs set off. "See you later," the engines called.

Frank and Eddie were confused about the whole UFO business, but they decided not to ask. There was a strong current that day, and Zob and Top Hat needed to concentrate.

Soon, the two railway tugs arrived at the main line railhead where a N&W Class M tender engine with the number 490 on her cab was waiting.

"Excuse me," called Top Hat. "Are you the engine from the Norfolk and Western?"

"That's right, hon," called the engine. "Ah'm Rainbow Sun."

"Nice to meet you, Rainbow Sun," said Frank. "I'm Frank, this is my brother Eddie, and our tugs are called Zob and Top Hat."

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance," smiled Top Hat.

"Yes, yes," sighed Zob, as Rainbow Sun got to work collecting her freight cars.

"Ah was just tryin' to be friendly," Rainbow Sun remarked crossly. "No need to get huffy."

"Sorry for being snappy," said Zob. "I've just been feeling put out lately. There have been UFO sightings here in Bigg City."

"Yes…" sighed Top Hat. "It's been quite bizarre if you ask me."

"Like the one at Roswell?" asked Rainbow Sun.

"Yes, but I don't think it's a weather balloon this time," replied Zob. "See, everyone keeps reporting strange whirring noises and flashing lights."

"Hmm," said Rainbow Sun. "My engineer's heard some rumours about a new type of flyin' machine that's being tested out somewhere in this region. Maybe, it's here in Bigg City."

"That's a possibility," Top Hat replied thoughtfully.

Soon, Rainbow Sun's cars were unloaded and she was soon ready.

"Thanks for the help, sugarcube," she called as she departed.

"Oh no, thank you," Zob said with a grin. "I think we're one step closer to solving the mystery."

When night fell, Ten Cents and Sunshine were out taking fuel to Lillie Lightship. Then, they came across a motorboat. Inside were Thomas and Andrea.

"Hello, you two," said Ten Cents. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, we were out for a sail," explained Thomas, "and were trying to get back before the fog rolled in, but I forgot to refuel." He gave a sheepish chuckle at that whilst Andrea giggled.

"Tell you what," said Sunshine. "Ah'll throw a towline and we'll tow you back to port once we've delivered Lillie her fuel."

"Thanks, Sunshine," replied Andrea. But just as she grabbed the tow rope, something happened that caused her to let go again.

"Andrea! What's wrong?" Thomas asked worriedly.

"My waters broke!" Andrea groaned.

"The baby's comin'!" gasped Sunshine. "We need to get Andrea to hospital, quickly!"

"But we're miles away!" gulped Ten Cents. Then, they heard a whirring sound and saw some lights in the sky.

"That must be the UFO everyone's been talkin' about!" gasped Sunshine.

"That's it!" exclaimed Ten Cents. "The UFO! It can get Andrea to hospital quicker than us!"

Quickly, Thomas got out a distress flare and shot it into the sky. The "UFO" seemed to get the message and landed onto the water next to them.

"I say, are you alright, old chaps?" the "UFO" called.

Ten Cents and Sunshine were surprised that it could speak English, but now wasn't the time to question it; there was an emergency. Quickly, Ten Cents explained the situation.

"Leave it to me," said the "UFO". With that, one of its pilots helped Thomas and Andrea on board and the "UFO" took off.

"Good luck!" the two switchers called.

"Is it just now, or did the pilot look human?" asked Ten Cents once the "UFO" was out of earshot.

"Ah'm beginnin' to think that there aren't aliens in Bigg City at all," said Sunshine as they continued on their way to Lillie.

The next morning, the Star Tugs were awaiting the briefing.

"Star Fleet," I said excitedly, "I have two important pieces of news to share with you! Firstly, Andrea gave birth to a baby girl last night."

The Star Fleet – and the Z-Stacks who had overheard – all whistled in delight, which was joined by the whistles of Zion and Zelda, the latter of whom had Captain Lucky on board.

"Guys!" cried Zelda excitedly. "Did you hear the news?"

"We did!" said Sunshine happily. "Congratulations, Captain Star and Captain Lucky!"

"Indeed," called Captain Zero from his megaphone. "It is definitely an occasion worth celebrating."

"Thank you, dearies," smiled Captain Lucky. "Andrea is resting well in hospital, and once she's been discharged, she and Thomas will bring their daughter to meet you."

"What have they called the baby?" asked Zip.

"Aurora Star," I replied. "Now, the other piece of news – I know there have been rumours going around about some strange sightings in Bigg City Port. Hercules and Venus asked me and Captain Zero to look into it, and it turns out that Sikorsky Aircraft have been testing a prototype for a new type of flying machine called a helicopter."

"A helicopter?" asked Zug.

"Yes, Zug," replied Captain Zero. "You see, planes are very good fliers, but they can take off from runways and need to build up speed in order to take off. Also, they can't hover like a bird can. Helicopters, on the other hand, have a propeller on top to provide lift and thrust, allowing them to be used in congested or isolated areas where fixed-wing aircraft and many forms of short take-off and vertical landing aircraft cannot perform without a runway."

"They are also able to hover like a bird," I added. "This particular prototype is being designed for the United Kingdom to bring the design to their shores, and it is hoped he will be used for rescue operations over there. After last night, the designers have agreed that Project: Harold was a success."

Then, we heard a whirring sound and we looked to see the helicopter land. He was painted white with red lining and the name HAROLD painted in red. He also had added floats which allowed him to land in water.

"Hello, old chaps," he said politely. "Harold is the name, and rescuing is my game. Apologies for scaring you all like that."

"That's alright, sweetie," smiled Venus. "You did an excellent job last night getting Andrea to the hospital."

"Wait until th' others hear aboot this," chuckled Big Mac.

"This ought to be good when the Salvage Team finds out," smirked Zorran.

"What?!" exclaimed Scorpio. "You mean I freaked out like a baby in front of Misty because someone wanted to test out their new toy?!"

"Oh, stop complaining, Scorpio," retorted Pisces. "If it wasn't for Harold, Andrea would have given birth to Aurora out at sea."

"There's still one thing I fail to understand," said Alonso. "Why were they so secretive about it?"

"Perhaps they wanted to keep it behind closed doors in case the project failed," replied O'Malley. "But based on what happened last night, they no longer have anything to worry about."

"Hold on a second, Scorpio," Stormy said, trying not to laugh. "You got scared? How did that happen?"

"Err… forget I said anything!" Scorpio said quickly.

"Come on, Scorpio," Ember said cheekily. "Out with it!"

"NO!" shouted Scorpio.

"You know what?" Pisces said with a smirk. "I have a better idea. Why don't we get Misty to tell us what happened?"

"DON'T YOU DARE!" snapped Scorpio. The other Salvage tugs had fun ripping into Scorpio. I think it served her right for teasing Misty, don't you?

A few days later, Zelda, Zion, the Salvage Fleet, the Z-Stacks and Captain Zero came over to the Star Dock to meet Aurora for the first time. Harold was there as well since he had gotten them to the hospital. Captain Lucky, Sarah, Thomas, Andrea and I came up to them. Andrea was carrying something in her arms – her newborn daughter, Aurora, all wrapped in a light blue blanket.

"Everyone," Andrea said proudly, "meet Aurora Harlyn Star."

Aurora looked at the tugs and giggled.

"Aww, she's so sweet," said Penny.

"Welcome to the world, Aurora," said Sunshine.

"Congratulations, you two," said Zob.

"Thanks, Zob," replied Thomas.

"Aww, s-she's so precious," said Zilly.

"You are lucky to have her, Thomas and Andera," smiled Captain Zero.

"Thanks, Captain Zero," said Thomas.

"And thank you, Harold, for getting us to the hospital in time," said Andrea.

"Think nothing of it," whirred Harold. "Glad to be of service anytime."

"And I've no doubt you'll prove to be excellent service to everyone in the United Kingdom," I said with a smile.

"Well said, Captain Star," agreed Ten Cents.

A few days later, Harold left for the United Kingdom. We all gave him a fond farewell. I'm pleased to say that Harold still works in the United Kingdom to this very day, helping out anyone who may be in trouble, and I have no doubt he will continue coming to the rescue for years to come.

Who do you call when the chips are down

When your back is against the wall?

A group of hikers sent up a distress flare after one of them got injured on a mountain.

When there's no way out

And time is running out

And you're heading for a fall?

Harold landed nearby and the injured hiker was helped onboard.

High in the sky

Suddenly comes the hero

You can rely on him

Harold flew the hiker off to the nearby hospital.

Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies

First to the rescue should help be required

The doctors helped the climber into the hospital and thanked Harold.

Harold the Helicopter, brave is he

Courage is his name

A group of children looked up to the sky to see Harold in action.

So look to the skies, should danger arise

Look to the skies, for Harold will be there

Harold came to the rescue of some people whose boat had capsized in the ocean.

He is a natural hero

He is guardian of the skies

And down through the years, there are many tales

Of his courage in the skies

A nearby farmer called for help after some of his animals were trapped in the barn by a fallen tree.

Out from the clouds

Suddenly comes the hero

We recognize that sound

Harold later helped to lift a tree and had brought a vet over to make sure the animals were alright.

Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies

First to the rescue should help be required

Harold the Helicopter, brave is he

Courage is his name

The farmer thanked Harold for his help and the helicopter took off again.

So look to the skies, should danger arise

Reach for the sky, for Harold will be there

Harold helped to locate some hikers who had gotten lost in the fog. Landing near them, one of his doors opened so they could climb aboard.

Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies

First to the rescue should help be required

Harold helped the hikers get home safely.

Harold the Helicopter, brave is he

Courage is his name

After all his rescues, Harold was awarded a medal and the crowd applauded him as his picture was taken for the newspaper.

So look to the skies

See how he flies

The newspaper was read by a member of the Sodor Coast Guard who expressed interest in Harold.

You can rely

Harold will be there

Harold flew off to the Island of Sodor for the first time.

The End

Athour's notes: Not too many differences from the prime timeline, and I get the feeling this will remain the same with the last few stories too. The Stars and Zs are in friendly competition with each other; Zelda and Zion talk to Sally every night; and there's some appearances from Top Hat and the now-alive Zs and Captain Zero where we thought nesscary.

Next time... an Iron Curtain hangs over the Eastern parts of Europe...
