Chapter Twenty-Eight: Duel
It had been a month since they arrived in Andor. Moiraine and Liandrin were both often called away to Tower business or for a task. Alessia was absorbed into the books as she would pace back and forth in a bedroom or in the library. Some sisters from the Tower came and went as well in the house. She was happy it provided a place in Andor for them. She had received several letters from her best friends, including Perrin who seemed to be enjoying life in the way of the Leaf. She was happy for him. The brown sisters were keeping Alessia busy with the study of history, relics, and Tower Politics. Trying to make sure she kept up with her education as well so she wouldn't fall behind. She was tense and stressed out. Liandrin being away for a week now wasn't helping either. It seemed she couldn't focus while sleeping in her bed alone. Moiraine of course had been in the blue room with Lan mostly in there. She wasn't jealous of Lan no, it was normal for the Aes Sedai to share their space with their warders. She grabbed her book and sat on the bed. It was a white room with a blanket of all the colors. She sighed while looking around. She was wearing a white short sleeve blouse and red palazzo slacks. She put her boots on and grabbed her coin purse. She received the leftover currency from the Steward after furnishing it and had given it to Liandrin. 'What's mine is yours.' She would tell Liandrin when the woman in red tried to refuse it. Not wanting her wife to go anywhere without it just in case. She put the belt on that had the seven colors before putting her Accepted cloak on and left her bedroom.
"Where are you going?" Moiraine had asked as Alessia nearly bumped into the woman in blue.
"For a walk to clear my head." Alessia spoke and brushed past her fiancé. Feeling her hand grabbed gently as she was pulled back and her cheek cupped to force looking into the blue eyes.
"Talk to me Lessy. You have barely said a word for the last few days." Moiraine spoke. She wasn't wrong. Alessia wasn't avoiding her, she was just stressed.
"I've just been stressed with all the studying and all." Alessia spoke as Moiraine nodded but she didn't seem convinced. Instead, she followed Alessia out of the house. She kept eyeing Moiraine who was following her.
"Honey cake for the Aes Sedai?" A girl asked while the smell of freshly baked honey cakes made her almost drool. Alessia handed the girl a few marks and took two. Handing one to Moiraine who accepted it with a soft smile.
"You forget Lessy. I can feel you." Moiraine spoke as they were now away from the girl.
"I just feel lost. Without either of you by my side sometimes." Alessia confessed. Moiraine took her arm into her own gently.
"Nothing is keeping you from sharing my bed at night." Moiraine replied.
"Lan." Was all Alessia replied back before looking at her. "You can always join me in mine." She added.
"That is true." Moiraine added. Alessia grabbed a basket and decided to restock back up on the fruits and berries since Alanna had taken a liking to fruits more now. Not that it surprised her.
"Alanna Sedai and I thought it would be best if we trained you at the same time to see how you can handle the stress." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head. She was sure she could handle it. She had to. To be an Aes Sedai, you had to face impossible situations while maintaining calmness.
"Very well. I look forward to it." She smiled while picking out fruits and vegetables. Making sure she grabbed strawberries as well. It was, after all, her favorite berry after that day. She felt Moiraine slide her arm around Alessia's waist from behind as they continued to walk.
"I hope you get raised to the shawl soon." The woman in blue spoke to break the silence. Alessia raised a brow at her.
"Why do you say that? I still have a ways to go." She spoke as Moiraine only smiled at this. Moiraine grabbed Alessia's left hand with her free hand and kissed it. It clicked. She blushed and smiled. Looking to the side.
"I can't wait." Moiraine spoke softly. Alessia knew the older woman couldn't lie. This made her have butterflies in her stomach as her heart raced. Hearing a chuckle from Moiraine as Alessia could feel her emotions as well. Yep, she is definitely in love with this woman as well.
"I can't wait either." Alessia spoke with a returning smile. She paid for the food before taking the lead back to the house. She stopped as did Moiraine who was giving her a curious look. Alessia looked around and pulled Moiraine into an alley area. Not realizing it was when they first officially met. Alessia pressed Moiraine against the wall out of sight before kissing her deeply. Her free hand trailing up her side. Hearing a chuckle from Moiraine before she took the lead and flipped them around.
Alessia was red faced as they made it back. She avoided all eye contact as she made her way into the kitchen. Hearing Alanna shout at the sight of the fruits before taking a couple apples. Alessia smiled at the woman in green before putting the leftovers up.
"We're having roasted suck for dinner!" Alanna shouted while walking down the hall. Alessia was leaning over to the side on one foot as she watched the battle ajah before hearing a throat get cleared. She turned to see Moiraine giving her a look.
"What?" She asked defensively. Seeing the woman in blue shake her head with a smile before turning to leave.
"Ah, Alessia. Time for your private studies." Verin spoke as Alessia nodded. She grabbed the book from the woman in brown and bowed to her. She hummed softly as she walked back to her room. It wasn't the room she was in as a child. That was now the yellow room. Her father's office was now the office for research and what not for the browns. She sat down on the chair by the window and opened her book to begin reading. The book wasn't thick like most of the ones she had gotten. She stopped reading when she realized what she was reading. Forbidden weaves. Curiosity got the best of her as she left the room to find Verin Sedai. Knocking on the office door.
"Come in." Verin's voice came as Alessia stepped into the room and bowed.
"Verin Sedai. This book had forbidden weaves." Alessia spoke softly. Hoping she wasn't going to be in any sort of trouble.
"It does. I want you to be able to recognize them. My dear, I know you aren't joining brown, gray, white, or yellow for that matter. Perhaps blue, red, or green. We need to make sure you are prepared for the worst in case these things are used against you. The Final Battle is coming and I can guarantee you that these weaves will be used. When that happens, you will be able to recognize them and prevent them from being used on you. Now, I want an essay on these weaves." Verin spoke as Alessia nodded her head. "Also, I forbid you from learning how to use the weaves." Verin warned as she nodded her head again and bowed before taking her leave. She was pacing back and forth in the sitting room now. Voices coming and going in the house as Alanna left with her warders and Lan coming back from somewhere. He smiled and bowed at her as she waved at him. Sitting down on a couch. One caught her eye. Compulsion. How would she recognize it if it were to happen to her? This was something she wanted to ask but was afraid to. She frowned as she became frustrated at this. Sighing as she closed the book and began to chew on her thumb. Looking out the window at the familiar sight. Where she would often spot Moiraine when she was younger. Feeling a hand on her shoulder as she looked up and saw the woman she was just thinking about.
"What's on your mind, Lessy?" Moiraine asked as she sat down next to Alessia. Pulling her close in her arms.
"Verin Sedai has me reading this book. She said to study up in case any were used against me or another. To recognize it and to prevent it. One of them I have no idea how I would be able to." Alessia explained as Moiraine was looking through the book.
"Why does she have you reading this? This book is banned from the Tower." Moiraine spoke as Alessia felt her eyes go wide.
"Think it has anything to do with 'advanced training?'" Alessia asked.
"Possible. Though one actively embracing the One Power cannot be put under any compulsion. I wouldn't worry about it since you embraced it wholeheartedly." Moiraine spoke. Alessia smiled. She was glad she wasn't being scorned for the question.
"I won't question Verin's teaching methods, but I believe she has her reasons." Moiraine added as Alessia nodded when she flipped open the book again to continue reading. Moiraine however stayed where she was. Arms wrapped around Alessia's waist and her head resting on her shoulder. Enjoying every minute. She shifted a little to run her fingers through Moiraine's hair as the woman was deep in thought.
"What's on your mind my love?" Alessia asked while she closed the book when she was finished.
"What I want to start with once you are under my teachings." Moiraine replied while kissing her cheek.
"Cloud dancing?" Alessia asked in a hopeful tone.
"Maybe. It's a blue secret though." Moiraine spoke as Alessia hung her head in defeat.
"But. I do want to teach you everything I know." Moiraine added while sitting up. She looked into the blue eyes and smiled. Cupping Moiraine's cheek and caressing it.
"Whatever you teach me that is supposed to be a secret. It'll stay that way." Alessia spoke as Moiraine nodded her head. She closed the gap and gave Alessia a loving kiss.
"Dinner!" Alanna's voice rang out in the house. Alessia smiled and stood up. Holding her hand out to Moiraine who took it and took the lead to the dining area. Alessia had given Verin the book back before taking her seat next to Moiraine and Lan on her other side. It felt odd still not having Liandrin on her other side. She frowned a little while waiting for the others to eat. She slowly ate her food.
"Alessia dear. Tomorrow will be your last day under my training for brown." Verin spoke as Alessia looked up at her.
"I still have much to learn." Alessia spoke softly.
"You do indeed but you have already learned more than an Accepted should under my teaching. Though, I will not hesitate to help further your studies if you wish." Verin spoke with a smile.
"Thank you Verin Sedai. I won't hesitate to ask." Alessia spoke. Feeling her back rubbed by Moiraine.
"That's great news! Now I can start with my teachings!" Alanna spoke with a smile. She gave Alessia a wink and she did not know how to take it. She nodded and raised a glass to the woman in green before drinking her water. She enjoyed listening to the sisters talk about their day and about the coming and going of the current events. Seeing she was the last to finish before collecting the dishes from the table and others before leaving to the kitchen. She felt tired. Her brain was hurting from all the new information she had gotten from reading the book. Humming softly to a song she knew while washing the dishes before setting them to dry. She took a cup of water and headed back to her room. Seeing Moiraine sitting on her bed reading a scroll.
"Well, this is a beautiful sight." Alessia spoke softly as Moiraine raised her eyes to look at her. Alessia smiled while walking over to the corner to change into her gown before crawling into the bed next to the woman in blue.
"Though I have been neglecting my fiancé." Moiraine spoke as Alessia only smiled. Giving the woman a kiss. Alessia leaned down to lay on her pillow. Opening her arms to pull Moiraine on top and curled up.
"By the light! I never knew there were so many items of magic!" Alessia spoke while rubbing her temples. She had finished her essay on the forbidden weaves and now on her last day, she had to pick three items of magic to study for the rest of the day. Her eyes were wide while looking over the list on the scrolls she was given to read over. Hearing a chuckle from Adeleas.
"My dear, you don't need to learn them all. Just the main ones." Adeleas spoke. She nodded. She had her eyes on a couple of them.
"Angreal, Sleepweaver, and the Oath Rod." Seemed easy enough but she was curious about the Oath Rod and why there were loopholes to begin with.
"Very well. There are a few books on each in the library." Adeleas spoke as Alessia stood up to bow to the woman in brown before taking her leave. She went to her room to grab a few scrolls, a bottle of ink and a quill in case she needed to take notes. It was silent in the house since everyone seemed to be researching or busy running errands. Alessia frowned when Moiraine left in the morning to go on an errand. Hoping she would be back by tomorrow. She grabbed her cloak and put it on. Today she was wearing her Accepted dress. She closed the door behind her and went straight to the library. She entered the library and set her things down on a table nearby. Taking her cloak off as she began to browse. There seemed to be no one else there as she found a book about the Oath Rod. Sitting at the table and flipped open the book to begin reading. Twisting the serpent ring around her left middle finger.
"Look, is that an Aes Sedai, mommy?" A little boy's voice spoke.
"Yes and you better behave or they'll come after you." The woman spoke. Alessia looked up and frowned at that. 'How could people say such things?'
"I'm not. Just in training." Alessia spoke as she went back to her book and took notes.
"Same thing." The woman spoke while taking her son's hand to leave. She was tapping her fingers on the table while looking around. She stood back up to look for more books as she put that one up. It seemed the sun was already setting when she finished two of the three scrolls. She seemed to be having more issues with Angreal. Wondering how an object allows one to channel into it to grab more of the One's Power without burning out. She gave up and grabbed her scrolls while heading back to the house. It was loud outside with the city folk running about. Alessia stopped to take in the sight while smiling as others passed her by. Feeling something crawl up her arm as she looked down and raised up her arm. There was another black spider. She allowed it to crawl onto her hand as she looked closer at it. It had small white spots on its legs. Wondering she suddenly had a fascination with spiders. Setting the small creature onto the wall of a building before taking her leave back to the house. Sighing while knocking on the office door as Adeleas opened it with a smile. Alessia walked inside and sat down. Setting two of the three scrolls onto the desk.
"How did your research go?" Adeleas asked.
"Not well. I couldn't find anything in Angreal." Alessia frowned.
"How does that make you feel?" The woman in brown asked as Alessia raised a brow.
"Frustrated." She answered.
"Good."
"I'm sorry?"
"Knowledge gets lost over time. Not everything that gets recorded stays on record." Adeleas spoke as Alessia was confused.
"So, that is frustrating. Not being able to get your hands on information you need to get things figured out." Alessia spoke with a frown. Adeleas nodded.
"Life of a brown ajah." The woman spoke as Alessia nodded. Watching Adeleas read over the scrolls and smiled. "I'll keep these and put them in the records once we arrive back at the Tower." The woman spoke as Alessia smiled.
"Thank you for everything." Alessia spoke. Adeleas walked around the desk to pull Alessia into a gentle hug.
"OF course dear. Though, I have one more research topic for you." The woman in brown said as Alessia nodded.
"Prophecies. Pick a few, read about them and write down what you think they mean." Adeleas spoke as Alessia smiled and bowed before taking her leave again. This was something she needed to get done quickly or maybe between the lessons with Alanna and Moiraine.
Humming softly as she was leaning against the wall in her room while playing with a strand of her hair. Pushing herself off and decided to use the house library while lighting a candle since the sun was no longer up. She had skipped dinner but did her chores either way. She knew there was a prophecy of the Dragon Reborn but she was curious about other ones as well. She found a couple books before pulling them off the shelf and quickly made it back to her room. Setting them down on a table in the corner before changing into her gown. Lighting a candle by her as she opened the book to begin to read. Taking notes on the titles of different ones she wanted to look into. One had caught her eye. It was about love being changed in ways others could not know. She wrote down that one as well. It made her very curious. She rested her head on her hand while looking through different stories and prophecies. Hearing her door open and then closed. She set the quill down and put a cork into the ink bottle.
"Not going to bed without me are you?" A voice she knew so well and loved as she jumped up and ran to the woman.
"Liandrin!" Alessia spoke while giving her wife several kisses across her cheek and neck.
"Missed me that much huh?" Liandrin asked with a teasing smirk. Alessia was holding the woman in red close. Not wanting to miss a single minute with her right now.
"No…" Alessia spoke as Liandrin then raised a brow.
"Oh?" She asked. There was hurt in her voice.
"I'll show you how much I have missed you." Alessia spoke while taking a step back. Pulling her night gown off slowly. Liandrin then smirked again while slowly walking up to her. Alessia grabbed Liandrin's hands and led her to the bed. Gently pushing the older woman on before straddling her.
"What are you thinking about my flower?" Liandrin asked in a rasped breath as she was kissing her wife's neck before whispering into her ear.
"Worshiping my red queen." Alessia spoke as she slowly traced Liandrin's jawline to her ear with her tongue. Feeling the woman in red shiver under her.
"Then worship me my love." Liandrin spoke in a whisper as Alessia smiled at this. Fumbling with Liandrin's tunic as she made quick work of it. Kissing down her bare chest and stomach. Making sure she kissed every inch before working her way down below the waist. Hearing her lover moan her name in sweet bliss. The pleasure was hitting her as well as Liandrin. Wanting to make this moment last as long as she could.
She had finally caught her breath as her cheeks were flushed. She could never get bored of this. The beautiful woman that stole her heart and bonded with.
"Tell me about your journey." Alessia spoke as she felt kisses trail up her stomach as she shivered. She was now naked under the older woman who was still smirking at her. She finally reached her lips and kissed her softly before deeply.
"It was alright. Uneventful." Liandrin spoke as she finally laid down next to Alessia on the bed. She turned to face her wife and traced her finger across her cheek. Knowing full well she was going to hear about it from Moiraine the next time she saw her.
"Well, uneventful means it was safe." Alessia spoke as the woman in red nodded. "Good. Also, My training with Verin and Adeleas Sedai is over now." Alessia spoke while kissing her wife's forehead.
"Oh? Learn anything good while I was gone?" Liandrin asked. She was tracing her fingertips across Alessia's chest and stomach.
"Forbidden weaves." Alessia spoke while shifting to lay on her back. Liandrin went straight to laying her head upon her chest.
"I thought those books were no longer in the Tower?" Liandrin asked.
"Well. Apparently one of them belongs to the browns." Alessia spoke. Running her fingers through the long honey blonde hair.
"They are forbidden for a reason." Liandrin spoke while looking at her.
"So, you are against me learning about them?" Alessia asked as her wife chuckled.
"No. Just. Be careful." Liandrin spoke. She raised a brow at her wife.
"Have you ever?" Alessia began to ask as she was cut off by a deep kiss. Watching the older woman pull back and place a finger onto her lips. Alessia nodded and understood. She knew her wife wasn't bound by the three oaths. It still didn't make her love for the woman any less.
"She has me researching prophecies now. While Alanna and Moiraine Sedai take over the training." Alessia spoke. "Enough about me." Alessia cupped Liandrin's cheek and smiled. Kissing her nose as the woman in red smiled.
"There wasn't much where I went. Just to make sure there weren't any law breakers going on outside of the Tower." Liandrin spoke.
"Being red sounds fun." Alessia spoke.
"Don't mock me." Liandrin spoke with a warning look.
"I'm serious. I am thinking about either red or blue. My final two." Alessia spoke. Seeing Liandrin's eyes go wide before giving her a deep kiss again.
"I know it's your choice but I would love for you to join my ajah. We could use your strength on the field while making sure the rules and laws are followed. Especially when it comes to gentling men." Liandrin spoke.
"I wonder what it feels like. To gentle a man." Alessia spoke softly while looking at the woman in red.
"It feels wonderful. I know you helped with Logain but doing one by yourself feels amazing. I won't lie about that." Liandrin chuckled. Alessia blushed as this. "What?" Liandrin asked.
"My love. Does it um." Alessia felt her cheeks blushing while trying to find the right words.
"Does what?" Liandrin asked while trying to pry the answer out by not breaking eye contact. Alessia took a deep breath.
"Does that arouse you?" Alessia asked as Liandrin chuckled.
"No. Seeing you use your power does. Showing me how strong and determined you are, does." Liandrin spoke as Alessia blushed even more at this. "I..I don't know what to say to that." Alessia stuttered among her words.
"I crave power myself and seeing my wife strong as she is makes me crave her more." Liandrin spoke while shifting her body as she was now straddling Alessia's waist. Feeling her heart race as she became nervous as Liandrin chuckled softly with a smirk before leaning in to bite her neck. Alessia let out a soft moan. Closing her eyes as she pushed her hips against Liandrin. She was definitely not getting any sleep tonight for sure.
Feeling the sun rays hit her face as the morning sun was up shining through the curtains. She turned onto her side and pulled Liandrin close into her arms. Tangling her legs.
"Hmm. Time to get up, love." Liandrin spoke as Alessia shook her head.
"Five more minutes?" Alessia asked.
"Alright but I am not covering for you if Alanna gets mad." Liandrin spoke.
"On second thought, you're right." Alessia spoke while sitting up. Alanna was known for her temper and Alessia was on the battle ajah's good side and she did not want to mess that up. She stood up and groaned a little. Feeling her area was sore.
"What's the matter, my flower?" Liandrin asked as Alessia looked at her. There was a smirk on the woman's face as if she was proud. Alessia rolled her eyes with a smile.
"I'm sore thanks to you my love." Alessia spoke as she put her clothes on. Wearing her usual Accepted dress. She turned and leaned over her bed to grab Liandrin's chin and kissed her deeply.
"Get some rest, love. I'll be back." Alessia spoke as Liandrin laid back down to watch her leave. She hummed lightly while grabbing an apple to eat while knocking on a door.
"Come in." Alanna's voice spoke as she entered the room. Her warders were asleep as Alanna was sitting on a pillow also eating an apple. "Ah, Alessia! Perfect timing. Come along!" Alanna spoke as she got up and grabbed Alessia's hand to have her follow her out of the house.
"I can't train you inside the gates without causing damage, so we will be outside the gates." The woman spoke. Alessia felt excitement that was her own. She mounted the horse after Alanna while looking around. Only Ihvon had joined them once they were outside of the gates.
"So. What are we doing today?" Alessia asked as Alanna raised up a shield. Alessia raised a brow at the woman in green.
"Throw everything you know at me!" Alanna shouted as Alessia nodded. Closing her eyes as she began to channel. Her legs were bent as she slowly raised her arms as several small rocks were raised off of the ground. Throwing her hands forward as the rocks went flying. Hitting the shield. She didn't stop there. She weaved fire threads to create the small fireball and shot it at Alanna. It was put out by the shield.
"Shield up." Alanna spoke as she weaved a larger fireball and threw it at her. Alessia was quick this time. Her shield was up in time for the fire to make contact.
"Not bad. Alright. I know you are holding back. Come at me Alessia!" Alanna shouted like she was teasing her. Feeling a presence as Alessia looked over as Liandrin was watching them. She nodded at her as Alessia turned her attention back to the battle ajah. Seeing Alanna have the shield back up. Alessia gave her a smirk. Weaving four of the elements as she then moved her hand forward. Stunning Alanna as she let out a shout and fell onto her knees.
"Who taught you that?" Alanna asked while standing back up. Alessia felt an overwhelming feeling of pride coming from Liandrin.
"A red." Alessia spoke. Not wanting to say a name.
"I'm not mad. I'm impressed that you were able to pull that off. I'll just have to go harder on you." Alanna spoke with a smirk. Alessia raised a brow as Alanna stunned her in return. Alessia was grunting as the wave of pain hit her.
"Normally greens don't stun since we don't hunt down male channels. For you, I'll make an exception." Alanna spoke as Alessia felt the pain released as she stood back up. Brushing the dirt off of her dress. Raising her arms up as she began to weave. Creating more fire threads as Alanna blocked them with ease. Alessia was now stumped as she was touching her chin while in thought.
"Give up already?" Alanna asked as Alessia shook her head.
"We've been at this for hours now. Just trying to figure out why my weaving is still slow." Alessia spoke as she weaved the fire threads a little faster this time and threw it towards the woman in green who weaved her shield in time. Alessia was now sweating as Alanna walked over to her.
"Let's call it for the day." She spoke as Alessia nodded her head. Watching the woman walk away with Ihvon. Liandrin touched her lower back as she looked into the blue eyes.
"I am no battle kind of person but I do need to get into shape with it." Alessia spoke as Liandrin nodded her head as they were making their way back to the city.
"After what happened, it doesn't hurt to be prepared." Alessia spoke.
"What do you mean?" Liandrin asked while still looking at her. Arm around the waist now. Alessia leaned into her wife's touch.
"After what happened with Logain. I was in the fight." Alessia frowned. She remembered the man she hurt during it.
"True. One can never truly be prepared." Liandrin added. Alessia looked at her wife and smiled. Alessia wanted to so badly tell Liandrin that she was picking red no matter what in the future. Even though Moiraine asked her to do it as well. In fact, she had wanted to be red ever since that fateful day.
"What's on your mind?" Liandrin asked as Alessia shook her head. Feeling the woman in red stop and make Alessia look at her.
"Sorry. Just. I'm worried about everyone. I hate not knowing what's going to happen when you get sent out or when Moiraine does as well. My friends at the Tower. I don't want to lose anyone but I know with the Last Battle coming up and all." Alessia spoke as her cheek was cupped again from both sides.
"Worry not about the future right now, my flower. Worry about the now." Liandrin spoke. 'Huh. Wise words.' Alessia thought as she smiled softly.
"My lovely wife is so smart." Alessia spoke as she kissed Liandrin's cheek to her lips before taking her hand to lead her back to the city.
"I have more life experience than you do my flower." Liandrin chuckled.
"That is true. I still have much to learn and I enjoy learning it from the people I love and care about." Alessia spoke as her wife smiled at her while following.
Seeing Alanna speaking to a rider before entering the house. Alessia watched as the man in black rode away before holding the door open for the woman in red. Following her inside as she saw a flash of blue. Alessia got excited while following her into the office room. Closing the door behind her as Moiraine looked up and smiled.
"I can feel your excitement Lessy." Moiraine spoke softly. Alessia nodded and quickly moved over and hugged Moiraine tightly.
"I'm glad you're back. And safe." Alessia spoke.
"I didn't go far." Moiraine chuckled before sitting down at the table. Alessia walked over and leaned against it. Feeling arms grab her and pull her onto the woman in blue's lap. Alessia slid her arms around Moiraine's neck and kissed her forehead.
"Alanna Sedai and I had a small duel earlier today. Well, not too long ago." Alessia spoke. "I can't wait to start learning from you." Alessia spoke. Caressing Moiraine's cheek lightly.
"I am still working on how to teach you without you know what." Moiraine sighed a little. Her poor fiancé was stressed out and she didn't like that.
"You can always just show me how to do the weaves." Alessia suggested.
"I did not think of that. Well, I did but I'm not sure how that's going to work out." Moiraine spoke while thinking.
"Did I ever tell you how beautiful you look when you weave?" Alessia asked as Moiraine shook her head. "You're so elegant and beautiful." Alessia spoke and frowned when she felt the sadness from her.
"Hey." Alessia cupped the older woman's cheek. "We will figure this out. I promise you. You can't be cut from the Source. There has to be something." Alessia spoke.
"It's not for you to worry about Lessy. You need to focus on your training and studies." Moiraine spoke as Alessia shook her head and sighed.
"Stop saying that Moiraine. I care about you. I love you. I am going to worry about it because it's you." Alessia spoke. She hated that Moiraine did not have her powers and it was killing her on the inside not knowing if there was something out there that could help.
"Why do you care about whether I can use the One's Power or not?" Moiraine asked as Alessia shook her head again.
"Because it's part of who you are. It's like severing someone's soul. I may not know what it feels like personally but I know the feeling because you are feeling it." Alessia spoke softly. Caressing Moiraine's cheek still. "Also, you are going to be my wife someday. So, I care and yes I will worry about it. You'd do the same for me." Alessia spoke as she felt her heart beat faster that was coming from Moiraine.
"That is true. I would do that for you." Moiraine spoke. "Alessia, you are going to become a great Aes Sedai." Moiraine added. This made Alessia beam and hug Moiraine tightly. "Remember that you serve everyone. Just friends and loved ones." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded.
"I know. I want to protect those who cannot protect themselves." Alessia spoke.
"Good." Moiraine spoke while pushing Alessia off her lap gently and stood up. "Come. Time to get some rest. From what I recall, someone had some fun while I was away." Moiraine spoke softly while taking Alessia's hand to lead her to her room.
"Right. Anything my future wife needs. I shall provide." Alessia spoke in a sultry voice as Moiraine gave her a look that made her smile.
