authors note : As we begin to see Alex was nothing but a smoke screen. The real reason for the breakdown of their marriage is beginning to show.
"I'm trying to be honest with you Brooke."
"I love you. I'm in love with you."
"I love Sadie. You know that. But i can't get passed this. Don't you think i've been trying all these years." Lucas said.
"I know you miss having you're parents in you're life. But isn't it better then seeing how things are with me and Sadie.?" Lucas asked.
"I wanted to believe that things were changing. That this disconnect you have was breaking away."
"What am i supposed to do with this now?"
"I'm going to put Sadie first. Maybe restarting all of this was a mistake." Brooke confessed. Before walking away from him.
Lucas wanted to stop her and tell her that she was wrong.
But there was something in him that was broken. And as much as he tried to fix and repair it.
He ended up pushing away and losing what mattered to him the most.
