I made my way upstairs and through the hallway. I bawled up my fist and knocked on the front door of her bedroom.
"I wanted to know if you were open to talking with me.? I asked from behind the door. Minutes later the door opened.
She was looking more and more like Brooke by the day. But she shared my squint. Which was all over her face now.
"I thought you would be busy with you're girlfriend. Her name is Alex isn't it?" Sadie asked.
Lucas sighed deeply and closed the door behind him.
"Alex isn't around anymore. And she was never my girlfriend."
"I have to say i'm sorry. For hurting you're feelings. Making you feel unwanted and unloved. None of that could be less true."
"I made a mistake. And because of that i pulled away from you."
"Which is wrong and unfair. You deserved a better dad then that."
"I want to start over and fix the damage i created."
"I love you. And in time. I hope you can forgive me." Lucas said. The emotion in his voice thick.
Before he turned and left the bedroom.
