"I'm Koichi. This is a story about something I've been seeing, and I almost can't believe it."
"I do volunteer work at a hospital. What I do is help patients with small stuff, assist doctors by getting them paperwork and supplies, and try to make others feel emotionally better. It was actually a lot of fun. Then, I started noticing this strange figure appearing with the patients who were in horrible shape."
Koichi helps out around in a hospital. He does enjoy doing it, but he found someone there that wasn't going to make things fun.
"I'll never forget the first time I saw him. I was passing by another patient's room when I noticed the lights were out. I just assumed the patient was sleeping, but I noticed something. He was dressed in black and I could barely see him, but there was someone in that room. He just stared down at the patient."
Koichi passed by a room and could see someone was in there with a patient. He could barely see someone was in there.
"Hello? Who is in there? This patient needs rest." Koichi said.
"I flipped on the lights, but then there was no one there. Whoever I saw just completely disappeared. It was so weird. I could have sworn there was someone in there, but now it looks like there isn't anyone there at all."
He couldn't make sense of this. Koichi could have sworn there was someone in that room standing over the patient, but now he didn't see anyone anymore.
"That wasn't the only time I saw him. I've seen him around with others. Time and time again, I saw this mysterious dark figure just lurking around and standing over some of the patients. However, every time I tried to confront him about who he was, he just disappeared."
Koichi kept seeing the dark figure around. He didn't understand who that figure was or what he was even doing. Even when Koichi tried to confront him, he just kept disappearing. Koichi couldn't get any answers.
"I asked around to see if anyone even knew what I was talking about, but no one did. No one else ever saw the figure in black. This was making no sense to me. Who is this figure? What does he want? Why am I the only one that can see him? It was starting to make me quite uneasy. I couldn't even go to the police about this because I had no idea who he was, what he did, or if this guy even did anything wrong."
Very mysterious things kept happening around the hospital. Koichi was the only one who knew about this figure and no one else could even see him. He wasn't getting any answers and he didn't like this one bit. It was becoming too ominous.
"I decided it was time to get some proof about this figure. The next time he showed up, I would try to get a photo of him and show it to others. I got my chance when I saw him roaming around in the halls and it was just the two of us. He didn't seem to notice me, but I had the chance now. I reached for my phone and took a quick photo of him. After that, I quickly hid myself so he wouldn't see me. Finally, I had proof. When I looked at my phone, I was shocked. He wasn't there. I had the camera aimed right at him, but he wasn't anywhere on the screen. I looked back, but he wasn't there anymore."
Just when Koichi finally was able to get proof, his plan failed. He had the camera aimed right at the guy, but he didn't show up on the photo. Even when he looked back at where the guy was standing, but he wasn't there anymore. How is any of that possible?
"With no proof, I couldn't tell anyone about what I saw. I've done some thinking about who that man could be, and I have myself convinced about it. I believe who I saw was none other than the Grim Reaper himself. The thought gave me chills, but he shows up when people are probably near their time. That has me scared about something. Why was I the only one who could see him?
Koichi was freaked because he's convinced himself he's seeing the Grim Reaper. If he is, why is Koichi seeing him? That probably isn't a good sign. Especially when he appeared behind Koichi without Koichi noticing with his scythe in his hands.
