Chapter 51

Now that we are back in Twinleaf Town, we have been staying at Dawn's Mansion as we're figuring out where to go with our Elite Four challenge. Johanna says, "Barry came looking for you a little while ago. I don't know what it was about, but he was shouting about you needing to get on a ship at Snowpoint City. You know how impatient he is. He was gone before I could ask."

"Really? I wonder what this is about..." Lillie says.

"We can worry about that later." We say as we then decide to go to Lake Verity. After getting into the lake, we find Mesprit, who is floating around us.

"Hello, Mesprit." The Pokemon greets me and gives me the custom Pokeball, we're glad to have it join the team.

Mesprit: The Emotion Pokemon: Psychic Type. Although it slumbers at the bottom of the lake, its spirit is said to leave its body and flitter on the water's surface.

It is also then Professor Rowan has arrived. "That was Mesprit, wasn't it?"

"Professor Rowan!" We are surprised to see him. "You've accomplished what I'd asked you to do at the Canalave Library... I asked you to get data on the Pokemon of the lake, and you did. But it didn't provide any answers about the mysteries of Evolution. I still don't know why some Pokemon evolve and others don't. Ultimately, it only deepened the mystery. But having mysteries to solve... That adds to my enjoyment."

"I'm glad to hear it." Then we follow Professor Rowan to get to Sandgem Town, and we're surprised to find Professor Oak there.

"It's the Poetry guy!" Dawn says as we sigh. "Well hello to you again." Professor Oak says. "Sinnoh certainly is a long trip from Kanto. Of course, if it means meeting new Pokemon, there's no distance too great for the likes of us to travel."

"I should have expected as much from the world's authority on Pokemon! We always used to joke, "Where there are Pokemon, you'll find Oak!" It's good to see that hasn't changed one bit!" Rowan says.

"So what brings you here, Professor Oak?" I ask, and he says, "Ah, yes. I've heard that Ramanas Park is now open. If I remember correctly, it's at the end of Route 221. Ramanas Park has a special system that attracts every imaginable kind of Pokemon from every region. I've come to make certain that the system is operating properly."

"Ramanas Park? That sounds like a cool place. Can we go too?" I ask.

"Of course." Professor Oak says. Before we leave, Professor Rowan decides to give us another new item, the Poke Radar, which is for tracking special Pokemon. And when we are outside, we find Roark.

"Hi there! It's been a while!" Roark says.

"Roark? What are you doing here?" I ask.

"When I heard that you'd win the Sinnoh League, I rushed straight here to congratulate you! I mean it - great job! All the other Gym Leaders are really happy for you too. But you know, we Gym Leaders aren't going to take this lying down. Losing you was rough on all of us, yet we still have our pride as Sinnoh's eight Gym Leaders. Now we're all determined to beat you this time! So if you don't mind, could you give us all another chance with a Pokemon battle? We'll be waiting for you at our own Gyms."

"Well, if we have the time we'll do it." Then we bid farewell to Roark, and Professor Oak says, "Looks like you are really popular around Sinnoh as well."

"Yeah." Then we all head to Route 219 as we surf across the three routes, battling some trainers on the way until we arrive at the end of Route 221 where Ramanas Park is located.

"There it is. This is the Ramanas Park. This place has a special connection with regions around the world, such as Kanto and Hoenn! It's also connected to the Grand Underground Exploring down there might reveal new treasures. New discoveries lead to interesting encounters. Remember that."

"That sounds awesome." Lillie says.

As we walk around, we manage to see a lot of Legendary Pokemon statues until Professor Oak has another meeting in Eterna City.

After we're done, we head to Lake Valor this time, and we find Azelf and capture him. Although he wants to play games with us, he is actually a nice guy.

Azelf: The Willpower Pokemon: Psychic Type. Known as "The Being of Willpower." It sleeps at the bottom of a lake to keep the world in balance.

"It's also nice to know that the Lake Valor is back to normal after Team Galactic's attack..." Gladion says.

"Yeah. The weather is really doing a good job." I say.

The final one is Uxie in Lake Acuity, I remember the battle that I have with Paul and I'm also happy that I manage to beat him this time. Uxie is also waiting for us and gives us the custom Pokeball so that we can capture it.

Uxie: The Knowledge Pokemon: Psychic Type. Known as "The Being of Knowledge." It is said that it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes.

And now we get to find Aaron in the same village that we met before. Aaron says, "I heard from Cynthia. Congratulations on winning the League. I am kinda surprised that there are two winners."

"Yeah, and we're going to battle Cynthia, you are our first stop." I say.

It is decided that I go first while Lillie goes second. Aaron says, "Oh, I should explain, I'm a huge fan of bug Pokémon. Bug Pokémon are nasty-mean, and yet they're beautiful, too... Would you like to know why I take on challengers here? It's because I want to become perfect, just like my bug Pokémon! Ok! Let me take you on!"

His first Pokemon is a Dustox, so I decide to start things with Probopass. The battle began with Dustox darting around the field, using Gust and Toxic, and fortunately, Probopass is a still type, and the winds aren't affecting its durable steel body.

"Probopass! Show them your rock-solid resolve!" I command, "Use Magnet Bomb!"

Probopass responds by charging up energy in the large red nose on its face. Then, it launches a barrage of Magnet Bombs, homing in on Dustox. The gusts of wind from Dustox's wings can't divert the Magnet Bombs, and they strikes Dustox one after another.

"Moonlight!" Dustox is trying to recover, but I learn this from Paul and I yell, "Use Rock Slide!"

The attack not only causes it to flinch, but another Zap Cannon knocks it out of the battle.

Aaron's second Pokemon is a Beautifly, which is the same one that we helped reunite. I try to use Thunder Wave to paralyze the Pokemon, but Beautifly's Agility allows it to narrowly evade the attack.

"Look at the speed..." Lillie gasps.

Beautifly continues to unleash a barrage of Bug Buzz and Silver Wind attacks that surround Probopass. Each strike seemed to be taking its toll on the Steel and Rock-type Pokémon.

I have Probopass use Rock Slide, but even though it is hit, Beautifly is not down and it goes for Shadow Ball and Energy Ball, eventually knocking out Probopass.

My second Pokemon is Magmortar, and Beautifly goes for Silver Wind to boost all the stats, but I have Magmortar use Flamethrower, overpowering the attack and hitting Beautifly.

It tries to go for Quiver Dance to boost, but Magmortar goes for Smog to poison the Beautifly and then finishes with Fire Punch.

The third Pokemon for Aaron is Vespiquen, which goes for the Power Gem to defeat Magmortar in the end. I go for Staraptor as my third Pokemon. Staraptor goes for Brave Bird which manages to damage Vespiquen, but the Heal Order is healing Vespiquen and I know that it is the same trick that Lillie did to me in the league.

"How about this. Final Gambit!" I yell, and Aaron is shocked. Staraptor is going to take Vespiquen down with him, and that causes both Pokemon to faint in the end.

"I have to say that is a really reckless move." Aaron says.

"Final Gambit really is dangerous considering that Staraptor uses its remaining HP to inflict damage on Vespiquen..." Gladion says.

Then it is Heracross vs. Glaceon. Glaceon is having a hard time against Heracross because of the Fighting Type, but after managing to freeze Aaron's Heracross using Ice Beam, I start the counterattack by using Stored Power, defeating the Heracross in the end.

"Not yet! Your first Elite Four victory doesn't come easily, kid." His final Pokemon is not even a Bug Type. A Drapion, and it goes for Cross Poison to poison Glaceon before knocking it out with Aerial Ace. I decide to make things interesting by sending Regigigas as my final Pokemon.

"This is going to be interesting." He mutters. He tries to attack Regigigas by using X-Scissor, but Regigigas manages to counter it with several Comet Punches, and then it defeats Drapion with a Crush Grip attack.

"I will now concede defeat. But I think you came to see how great Bug-type Pokémon can be. I hope you also realized why you're up against in the Pokémon League. Battling is a deep and complex affair..." He says.

And now it is Lillie's turn, and unlike mine, Aaron decides to go with Yanmega as the first Pokemon. Lillie is using her own to fight the Yanmega, and with the Ancient Power, Lillie's Yanmega boosts all the stats and delivers the Hurricane to knock Aaron's Yanmega out.

The second Pokemon is Scizor, and it defeats Yanmega with an Iron Head attack. So Lillie decides to go with Electivire, and with Volkner's technique, it goes for Fire Punch and Thunder Punch to defeat Scizor.

The rest is the same, with Vespiquen, Heracross, and then Drapion as his ace Pokemon. Lillie loses Electivire, Bastiodon, and Mismagius during the battle, but the victory goes for Torterra who uses Headlong Rush to defeat Drapion.

"I lost with the most beautiful and toughest of the bug Pokémon... We lost because I wasn't good enough... That's it! Back to training camp! Let's hear it for me! No... That was wrong... Anyway... you should take this."

We both get the Bug Medals from him, and he says, "There are still three Trainers waiting for you, and they are all tougher than me."

"Okay." Then we bid Aaron farewell as we continue our journey for the Elite Four.

Here is the first Elite Four battle, it is not that easy to write because Ash hasn't faced the Elite Four in the anime, a few but not enough. And he also captures the three lake Pokemon. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be the next Elite Four member.
