Chapter 4: It 's Showtime!
The moment of truth has come. The musical career of our favorite guppies had begun in a big way. Thanks to their first official music video released to the public, the world has started to see more of their hits lately. There has been so much fame in a short time that Madame Octavia has organized and planned a concert at BubbleWood. The Bubble Guppies now had work to do. They had to create a new song for the concert. A new melody, choreography and new lyrics. This sounds like a big challenge. Although our protagonists already had experience creating songs and dances, this was not like previous times. For the first time in their short lives, they would be in front of hundreds and thousands of people. And not only that, many more people would see them through television or social networks. Basically, everyone was going to see them. That's something the guppies are going to deal with. At this moment, the 7 guppy children were planning everything they were going to do on the night of the concert. All of them were in the great hall of their hostess's mansion, where the guppies made modifications to the lyrics and certain dance steps.
"My idea is that the girls will be positioned on my left...While the boys will be on my right. I could be in the middle of everyone. Do not forget. When the girls go left, you guys go right. And when they go to the right, you will go in the opposite direction. This way, that part of the choreography will look great" Molly explained to her friends the dance steps for a certain part of the song.
"Not a bad idea, Molly. As long as we are in sync, the rest will work out" Gil commented.
"We already have the song finished. We just have to practice the steps a few more times and we will be ready" Goby added.
"Sounds great! Come on guys! What do you think if we practice a few more times?" Molly said excitedly.
"Hey Molly, calm down! Hey, we've been working on this since first thing this morning...I'm so tired" Deema commented on her tiredness. It was true, from the first day of preparation, everyone had been working hard.
"Oh…Have we really spent a lot of time on this? I'm sorry, I think I got carried away" Molly said nervously.

"Sure, Mr. Grouper" She accepted without hesitation. The orange fish decided to take Molly to a place a little isolated from the other guppies. He wanted to keep what he was going to tell his student a secret.
"I wanted to know how the rehearsals are going" Mr. Grouper asked her.
"Everything is going well as always, Mr. Grouper. Everyone is contributing. And they are doing it well. I know we can improve to be much better" Molly said excitedly.
"I see you are very determined. That's great...But you know, Molly? I wanted to tell you something very important. You are a very special guppy. You are someone with good leadership skills and the others will follow you wherever you go. And with that leadership, you have a responsibility...I just want to tell you to try not to put too much pressure on the other guppies. They are your friends. This world of fame can be a little demanding..." Mr. Grouper tried to give her great advice.
"You don't have to worry, Mr. Grouper. I just want us to make the song perfect for the concert. I'm sure others think the same. And this way, we will impress everyone!" Molly said happily. His mentor thought about his student's words.
"(giggle) Alright….I trusted you and the rest of you" He smiled at her. Molly left happily to return to her friends. Mr. Grouper thought carefully about certain things he was noticing in his students. Especially the leader of the group "(sigh) I hope you all don't try to impress the wrong people" The pink-haired guppy returned to her friends to continue planning the concert song. This indicated that they had to improve more for the special night.
Finally, the day arrived. That night in the city of BubbleWood, the Bubble Guppies' first official concert would take place, where their musical career would kick off. They had to be at the stadium before the concert time, so they had to prepare early to be there. In the mansion, everyone was waiting for Madame Octavia's instructions. She arrived in front of them alongside Wallace.
"Very good, kids! Are you ready to be the new big stars of BubbleWood?" Octavia said happily.
"YEAH!" The seven guppies answered happily.
"So what are we waiting for? Let's take the limo to the Big BubbleWood Stadium. It's time to take your fame to the next level" The cecaelia woman added excitedly.
"Great! Come on!" Molly said and the rest of the guppies followed her. Mr. Grouper followed them behind.
"Arf Arf!" Bubble Puppy barked happily.
"Oh….Yeah…I forgot to mention a detail…Maybe your puppy must stay here while we are in the concert" Octavia commented.
"W-What?!" Gil asked shocked.
"Hey! Bubble Puppy is one of us too" Deema intervened.
"I know and I'm really sorry. But it is a very big place and there will be many people. Your pup could easily get lost. Also, I wouldn't want him to make some mess like the one that happened on the day of the music video..." Octavia explained. She had a good point. Everyone got a little worried. But the most notable was Gil. Octavia placed her hand on his shoulder to calm him down "Hey, don´t worry. I called someone to take care of the puppy while we're outside. Believe me, he's going to have more fun here" She comforted him and tried to calm him.
"Do you think so?" Gil asked her with doubt.
"You can trust the great Madame Octavia, dear" She said with a comforting smile. Gil thought about it a lot. He had never been separated from his little dog. One of the few times they had been separated was when Bubble Puppy had to go to the vet.
"Hmmm…Okay….So…we´ll see you soon, buddy! Have fun and behave very well" Gil said before he received some licks from his puppy.
"Arf Arf Arf" He barked happily. The rest giggled.
"Very well. It's time to go" Wallace said quietly.
"Come on, guppies!" The octopus-woman added. Everyone decided to leave the mansion, leaving Bubble Puppy inside, thinking that the caretaker would arrive soon. The puppy noticed how they left and although he felt a little sad, he thought that there were things he could do while they were gone. The puppy thought about playing with one of his toys that Octavia had given for the puppy. What Bubble Puppy didn't expect is that someone was at home waiting for the ideal moment for the guppies to leave.
"Meow….."
They got into the limousine to go directly to the stadium where the concert would be. On the trip, they saw how many people were gathering at the stadium to go see the concert that they themselves were going to give. The limousine stopped at one of the stadium entrances. At that time, many people wanted to see the guppies. Tim and Tom, the bodyguards, started with the security protocol and decided to make way for the guppies in the middle of the crowd. Other bodyguards provided the escort. The guppies watched everything from the vehicle window.
"Wow! There are too many people" Molly said surprisedly.
"And everyone came to see you children. I hope you get used to this. Alright, it's showtime! Just smile and say hello to everyone. They love that" Madame Octavia told them before Tim and Tom opened the limo doors. The octopus-woman was the first to come out, receiving applause and shouts from fans "Hello everyone, dear fans at BubbleWood! Make way for the pop stars of the moment, the Bubble Guppies!" When she said that, the entire place was filled with shouts of joy. One by one, each guppy began to exit the limo. They smiled and greeted the public. Fans were very excited to finally see them.

"Alright, guys. I know you love cameras, but there is a concert to do. Autographs for later!" Madame Octavia said. Bodyguards escorted the guppies to prevent the crowd from getting too close to them. Finally, they managed to enter the stadium behind the scenes. That's where they had to prepare for the concert.
The guppies began to change their clothes in the dressing rooms. Everyone put on a bright outfit. The boys wore light blue clothing with silver glitter while the girls wore pink clothing with silver glitter as well. They looked like genuine pop stars.
"This is great. Did you see the number of people who came to see us?" Molly asked happily while she was finishing to groom herself.
"This really is amazing, Molly. We're going to put on a great show" Gil commented.
"Isn't it exciting, Nonny?...Huh?" Oona asked innocently until she noticed her friend's absence "Has anyone seen Nonny?"
"I think I saw him go to the bathroom" Goby answered. That sounded very strange to the girl with the purple pigtails, so she decided to look for him backstage. On the way to the bathrooms, she saw her friend with blue glasses hiding behind the stage.
"Here you are, Nonny…You worried me...What are you doing?...And...is something wrong?" Oona noticed that he had his face pale.
"Have you seen how many people are out there?" Nonny pointed to the stadium stands. She noticed how full it was, there could be more than ten thousand people.
"Oh wow...There really are a lot of people...Not counting the people who will watch us on television...Is there something wrong with that?" Oona asked him worriedly.
"Knowing that many people are going to see me makes me very nervous...It makes me feel uncomfortable...Well, I never said it but...I'm not liking the celebrity lifestyle. I feel like I don't have my space. Everyone wants to know about us from very close up" Nonny shared with her his own concern.

The concert would be another great challenge for him, but he saw Oona and knew that he could count on her and the rest of their friends.
"Thanks….I think I'll try it" Nonny said determinedly.
"I'm very happy to hear that. Just do what we rehearsed and everything will be fine…Come on, our friends are waiting for us" She decided to return to the other guppies. Nonny simply gave a small smile before following behind her. So they both returned to where the other guppies were.
"Thank you that you two have arrived. You guys took a long time...Oh sorry, I'm a little tense. Today is a very important night for all of us. Listen, kids...let's give a great show to thousands of people...Show everyone what the Bubble Guppies are capable of...Hehehe very good. Be ready...The show is about to start" Lady Octavia gave certain instructions before she went to the stage to welcome the audience. Wallace would be the main person in charge of the sound equipment. The colored lights appeared and background music began to play to welcome the great talent scout and influencer Madame Octavia. She entered the stage in a spectacular and glamorous way, earning applause and shouts of joy from many spectators.
"Good evening everyone, BubbleWood! Your host, Madame Octavia, is here! Today is a great night for everyone! For the first time, live and direct from BubbleWood, we will have the first official concert of our new pop stars! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages...I present to all of you with great pride and excitement our beloved and talented...Bubble Guppies!" The octopus-woman said with great excitement before fireworks appeared and many colored lights appeared on the stage. It was the signal! Behind Octavia the 7 guppies appeared with their pop star outfits, making the entire stadium scream with joy when they saw them. The guppies took up their positions. Deema, Oona and Zooli stood on the left side. Gil, Goby and Nonny on the right side while Molly stayed in the middle of both groups. She was the one who started speaking to the public. Molly seemed to want to start talking, but she seemed slightly nervous. Octavia simply approached her to whisper something in her ear "(whisper) "You just relax, Molly...Let yourself go and everything will work out wonderfully...I'm counting on all of you, especially you..." Octavia whispered that in her ear before walking away and leaving the stage to the little guppies. Molly simply took a deep breath before addressing the audience. It seems that she was going to speak before all of them.
"Hello everybody! It is an honor to be in front of all of you. This would be our first official concert. We are here as the winners of the Madame Octavia contest. And we have come to show everyone our great talent. So...It's time to..." Molly said excitedly to the audience.
"It´s time for Bubble Guppies!" The 7 guppies said at the same time. And when that happened, more colorful lights and fireworks appeared to liven up the atmosphere. Everyone shouted with joy and joy. The music began to play and the guppies began the initial steps of the choreography. The show has started! And it says like this!

"Hey! You're right...I did it! I did it well...You did it well...We all did great..." Nonny said nervously, but with a smile. Despite being nervous and in front of everyone, he felt a little better with his friend by his side.
"Everything went just as we rehearsed!" Zooli commented happily.
"It was worth it. It's time to enjoy the moment and give our fans what they want..." Goby said while he made a bow to the audience.
"I love you all! Good Night, BubbleWood!" Deema shouted excitedly, greatly cheering up the crowd before fireworks began to shoot out and the sky filled with vivid colors.
"Very well done, kids! You did great as always!" Mr. Grouper said happily.
"Bravo! Fantastic! Magnifique! Tonight was a total success! And this is just the beginning" Madame Octavia expressed with a big smile.
Tonight was totally crazy for our guppies. Not only did they give the best concert of their lives, but they were in the public's eye all night. The guppies gave autographs, answered questions from certain reporters or bloggers with the supervision of Mr. Grouper, Madame Octavia and Wallace present. They also posed for photos and basically greeted their fans. The spectacle was so much that it was no surprise that they were busy almost all night. Without a doubt, it was a success that night.
As you can imagine, it was necessary to end the event. Since it was getting very late and the guppies were not used to staying up late at night. So, with the escort of Tom and Tim, they managed to get back to the limo and from there they went directly to Octavia's mansion to spend the rest of the night sleeping in their beds. What no one expected is that, when everyone entered the mansion, they found something not very pleasant.
"(yawn) I'm glad I'm back...I want to sleep in my comfortable bed..." Deema said sleepy until she saw the shocking scene "WHAAATT?!" Everyone was shocked and gasped when they saw that the living room of the mansion was in a mess. Lots of furniture knocked over and some fragile things destroyed. It was as if a tornado had passed through the middle of the mansion.
"BUT WHAT IS THIS?" Molly asked surprisedly.
"I don't understand. The only one who stayed here was…" Gil was thinking before they noticed someone near. Bubble Puppy appears with tablecloths and curtains wrapped around his body.
"Arf Arf Arf!" He barked happily when he saw the guppies.
"BUBBLE PUPPY!" They all said at the same time out loud.
"Arf?" The puppy barked confusedly. He didn't know why they spoke out loud to him.
"Buddy…..But what did you do?! What about you? You are not like that. You never make disasters at home or at school...What's wrong with you?!" For the first time, we hear Gil scolding his pet. The puppy noticed that and tried to tell him something with his body language and barking "I do not want excuses. I thought you would do well with the house alone…" Gil said, a bit bothered.
"Gilly, don't you think you're being too hard on Bubble Puppy?" Molly tried to calm him.
"I…I…I just….Grrr….I´m sorry, Miss Octavia….He doesn't usually do this kind of things" Gil said, a bit ashamed of his pet´s behavior.
"Oh...Don't worry, Gil...These things happen...I think the caretaker didn't arrive. It was my fault, dear. He's just a little puppy...Listen, you guys go to your beds and rest. I and my servants will take care of the mess. Mr. Grouper, rest with them and take care of them while I take care of this. Good night, dears" Lady Octavia said calmly even though it was her own house whose living room was a mess because of the small animal. The guppies decided to pay attention, since it was too late to do anything else. Everyone was dying of sleep and all they wanted was to rest. The seven guppies, Bubble Puppy and Mr. Grouper decided to go to the shared room to sleep. The cecaelia called her servants to start cleaning. At this moment, someone approaches the hostess

"Awww…My little Snowflake! There you are! Where is my dear and naughty kitten? I see you're good at causing a few problems. Mommy is proud of you" Madame Octavia said with a suspicious tone of voice. It seems that that innocent looking little cat was causing the disaster. And not only that, the worst thing was that the octopus-woman herself already knew it.
"I don't understand, my lady. What's the point of Snowflake doing this to blame Bubble Puppy?" Wallace asked curiously.
"Shhhh...Be more discreet...Let's just say it's just a small part of my master plan" Madame Octavia said with a suspicious smile. She held and stroked the head of her cat, who purred.
Meanwhile, the guppies had their pajamas on and were ready to sleep. Everyone lay down in their respective beds. Everyone was happy for their spectacular night.
"It was incredible! The best night of my life!" Molly said excitedly. It seems that the excitement of the concert was greater than that of the last discussion.
"Undoubtedly! It was awesome!" Zooli added with a smile.
"Hey, how long do you think we'll be here? We've been away from home for a few days now" Goby asked curiously.

"Arf Arf" Bubble Puppy barked slowly. He was still sad about his owner´s words. Gil noticed the sadness in his dog's eyes and knew that his words affected him. So it was time to calm him down and forgive him
"Hmmmm….Hey...not because you've done that doesn't mean I don't love you anymore...Come on, friend..." Gil let his puppy sleep with him. The little dog simply curled up and slept peacefully with him. They both slept in harmony. No argument was stronger than their union. That's the good thing about a good-hearted child like Gil: They forgive in a short time. Meanwhile, Oona managed to sleep peacefully thanks to her clinging to her teddy bear. However, she noticed someone calling her. It was Nonny resting in a bed next to her.
"Still awake?" Nonny asked nervously.
"Huh…Hmmm…kinda….What's wrong, Nonny?" Oona said with a sleepy tone of voice.
"I just wanted to tell you that...thank you very much. You encouraged me and supported me when I was afraid. Without you, I would not have been able to fight my stage fright...Thank you, you are a great friend" Nonny said that sincerely and with a certain blush on her cheeks. Luckily, the darkness helped her so she couldn't see those red cheeks. Oona smiled upon hearing those words.
"That's what friends are for...I'm very happy to have participated in the concert with you...And you know? It will be very exciting to return home after everything we have experienced..." Oona said happily.
"(yawn) It's very late...We should go to sleep now...Good night, Oona"
"Good night, Nonny" They both fell asleep in their respective beds. Interestingly, both of them slept with smiles on their faces. And the girl with purple pigtails clung to her stuffed animal even more tightly and happily. They both left happy after that little talk.
