Prologue: Looking Back

Looking back, a lot of events had happened over the past two years, when I was in Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Academy.

Two years ago, a mysterious yellow octopus creature suddenly appeared and said he would be our homeroom teacher, and Karasuma-sensei shocked the whole class by offering us 10 billion yen if we could assassinate this creature.

However, when we met the creature, Koro-sensei, our lives as students of class 3-E changed dramatically, for the better.

Before meeting the teacher, I was just a drop-out student of class 3-E, who was deemed to be useless, worthless, and many more bad words. Up until now, all I had to do in my life was just listening to my mother said.

But when Koro-sensei told me: "Nagisa-kun, your life is only yours. It's not a tool to hide your complex." , I felt like the first round of my life had begun. After that, there was an argument that my mother had gone crazy and she was going to burn down the school. But luckily, Karma, Karasuma-sensei, and Koro-sensei knew this and came to rescue me.

In the end, my mother was arrested and she had to go to jail for all her crimes she had caused. I finally take control over my life, and I was adopted by Karma's family, the Akabane family.

After that, Koro-sensei helped me in many ways. That's why I was hesitated and didn't want to kill him. However, at that time, the government was determined to kill him by all means necessary. Therefore, this circumstance had made me kill him.

After I assassinated Koro-sensei with a knife, I, much like every members of class 3-E, couldn't stop crying. However, when I woke up, the clear sky seemed like our beloved teacher was blessing us a new start. That's why I vowed to myself and Koro-sensei that I would do my best.

After we graduated as Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Academy, or what we called the Assassination Classroom, the news focused heavily on Koro-sensei, who was deemed as a monster at that time. But the information security was implemented by the government, mainly the Ministry of Defense, and the truth didn't spread to the world.

As time passed, the incident was no longer featured in the news. And the incident, along with my life in the final year of Junior High School as an assassin, was left in the back of my mind, and wasn't mentioned anymore.

Koro-sensei, are you still watching us?

We, the former members of Class 3-E, are now High School students.

My everyday life now is a far cry from the Assassination Classroom in my ordinary High School life, but I still keep the things I learned as an assassin close to my heart.

I promise you, I will work hard to archive my dream: To become a teacher. So please watch over me, along with my former classmates, too.

I swore that while looking at the group photo of Class 3-E, which I'm keeping in my school notebook as a precious memory to remember.

After seeing the photo, I'm ready to head to my destination, Asahiyama High School, the school that I'm currently studying.

For over two years, my high school life was normal and peacefully, nothing worse happens.

I thought that from now on, I will have a normal high school life...

... But I never thought that the time would come when I would return and act as an assassin for one more time.

All of that... comes from just a not-so-simple part-time job as a tutor for five Quintuplets.
