Ginny awoke to the sound of feet on the stairs. She stretched out, a small part of her brain hoping to find Harry's warmth in the bed with her. No luck of that, as she felt nothing but sheets. Harry had stayed with her until she was dozing. He must have tucked her in and left quietly. She sighed, wishing he had dozed off too. Yes, things would have been complicated if her parents had walked in on them snuggling together. Though she suspected after the last few weeks, they could have slept together in all meanings of the term and they still wouldn't have been caught. She dressed again in her loss shirt and cut-off jean shorts before pulling her red mane into a ponytail. They would not be lazing around the house today. Many things needed to be done before the memorial services for the fallen could begin. The first of which was restoring order to Hogwarts. Hundreds of students and alumni would be flocking the castle to heal her wounds.

She headed downstairs, her bare feet barely making a whisper as she passed her parents' room. Her eyes widened as she found Harry and Ron in the kitchen. Harry is wearing an apron and is showing Ron how to crack an egg without magic.

"Why didn't you do more cooking on the hunt, then?" Her brother asked gloomily as he watched her secret boyfriend expertly drop an egg into the skillet.

"It's not that simple mate. I know non-magical cooking when I have access to plenty of ingredients. When we are using magic to supplement things, I don't know how that factors into things. Sure I likely could have cooked up the eggs we bought but once they are multiplied with magic, does that change how they are prepared without it?"

Ron nodded. "I think I see. That's why you didn't touch anything Heromine had done her magic on, in case you ruined it and we were completely hungry?"

"That's about it." Harry admitted. "Plus, I am used to being barely fed. It never occurred to me it would be an issue. I'm sorry about that."

Ginny felt the same anger only Harry's past could invoke in her. How she wished she could teach the Dursleys a lesson. She stepped forward.

"Good morning Ron. Good morning Harry." She started, doing her best not to purr Harry's name. She could tell he had noticed as well.

"Hey Ron, can you go get a couple potatoes from the larder?" Harry asked. Ron gave them both a look but did as he was bid.

"Sleep well?" Harry asked once Ron was out of earshot, tossing a Muffling charm in the direction of the doors.

Ginny stepped in and kissed him on the lips. It was brief but not lacking in passion. "Yep, thanks to a certain raven haired body pillow. Honestly, was worth way more than it was sold for."

Harry chuckled as he added another egg to the pan. "I'm glad I'm functioning as intended. That means you do not have to return me for a refund, right?"

She rolled her eyes and sat on the counter near him. "Now, let's not be hasty. I've not seen all of the added features yet."

She was rewarded with his laugh. Harry needed to laugh more, it was a crime how little she had heard it.

It was at that moment Ron returned from the larder and though he did give Ginny the stink eye for sitting on the counter, he said nothing about it. The three of them finished breakfast as an exhausted Heromine came down to join them. Soon they were tucking into the hot food and once they were finished, it was time to head to Hogwarts.

They stepped out into the Headmaster's office just under an hour after they had finished eating. They had changed into older muggle clothing they would not mind being ruined. Though much of the repairs would be magical, there would be some messy work. The workers were all broken into smaller groups, luckily Harry and Ginny were sent off alone to help Hagrid with the graves. It was decided by the Ministry that everyone that fell in the Battle of Hogwarts would be allowed to rest there, should his or her family wish it. Ginny did not know of a single family that had refused the honor. Ginny would use her wand to lay out the plots while Harry and Hagrid would carefully dig up the sod to replace later. Once that was out of the way, it was simple matter to shift enough dirt to make the rest of the grave. Ginny and Harry took turns doing that.

"Come on Potter, is that all the dirt you can move at once." She called to him a few hours in. "I think I could shift more than that with my eyes closed."

Harry set his load down and wiped his brow. "Oh yeah, Weasley? Is that a challenge?"

Ginny poked his chest. "The usual wager, than?"

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Loser has to listen to Ron prattle on about the Canons for an hour?"

"That's the one. Now, get ready to lose."

Right as they were about to start however, a voice interrupted them.

"Now, now, while I think we would all like to see Harry lose. I need to borrow him for a while."

Harry and Ginny looked over and found Kingsley smiling at them.

"Minister! Good to see you." Harry shook hands with the older man. Ginny did the same after he was done.

"It's a little too soon to be Minister. Just Kingsley is all right for now, Harry. Mind coming with me for a while?"

Ginny nodded as Harry cast her a questioning glance. "Sure thing, Kingsley. I'll see you later, Ginny."

He walked away with Kingsley. Ginny sighed, wishing she could have kissed him before he left but they needed to maintain the secret. Hagrid leaned on his shovel as Ginny aimed her wand at the prepared plot and cleared it for a casket.

"So, you and Harry doing alright then, Ginny?" The kind half-giant asked once the dirt was safely on the mound.

"We… have an understanding. It is too soon after everything that happened. He nearly died; people we all cared about did die. We just need a little time, that's all."

The Gamekeeper nodded and put his shovel over one shoulder. "I see. I always liked ya two together. Yer good for him, Ginny. I know I didn't interact with ya much before, but last year ya proved to be a force of nature. Why don't yer finish up the last of the grave plots and then we can head back up to the castle. Professor McGonagall ordered a luncheon for the workers and it's nearly time."

Ginny nodded and returned to her task. It was grim work without Harry. She had started the contest so not to think about what she was doing. Fred was going to be buried here, after all. Her mother and father had agreed right away, they would put a plaque in the family plot for him instead. She finished quickly, making sure to give each grave the proper attention before heading back up to the castle. She could not wait to hear what news Harry would be bringing from the Minister of Magic.
