A few hours after the attack
Midoriya's pov
I am limping back towards the facility while losing a lot of blood. I could focus on the wounds and heal them, but my mind is too clouded right now. All I can think about is watching helplessly as the villains took Kota. It's my fault. I wasn't strong enough to save him. Now the villains are going to kill him or worse. How can I call myself a hero if I can't save an innocent kid.
I finally make it back to the facility and Aizawa immediately sees me. "Midoriya!" Aizawa runs over to me. "I'm fine Sensei." I say. "No you're not. You're bleeding everywhere. Someone get a med kit!" Aizawa yells as someone goes to get a med kit. I then notice Mandalay running over to me. Oh no. "Midoriya, where's Kota? Is he alright?!" Mandalay asks.
I stay silent for a second before I start to cry. "I'm sorry…he was taken…by the villains…I couldn't stop them."I say, crying. "No. Nononono! This can't be true!" Mandalay yells crying as Tiger comes and hugs her. "We'll find him." Tiger says to Mandalay. I notice that Ragdoll is gone. "Where's Ragdoll?" I ask. "…The villains captured her. We don't know why." Aizawa answers. I then look at my classmates and see them in bad shape. This was supposed to be a safe trip. Now it's become a living hell.
At League of Villains bar
Dabi's pov
I walk through the portal that Kurogiri created and I am greeted by a pleased Shigaraki. "So, you actually won today. I thought you guys would lose, but it seems that you all indeed have potential." Shigaraki says. "We barely made it out of there since there was a student who had a powerful quirk and we also lost some of the others." I say. "It doesn't matter. It was a good way to get rid of the weaklings in the League." Shigaraki says, coldly. At least both the cannibal and the psychopath are gone. Mustard could have been useful, but oh well.
Shigaraki then notices the kid I'm holding by the neck. "Ah, and you brought Garou's little fanboy." Shigaraki says as he walks over to the kid, Kota I think is his name. "You're going to be a big help cause once Garou finds out you're here, I have no doubt he'll come to your rescue. And then, when he is least expecting it, I'll turn him into dust and finally get rid of him." Shigaraki says.
Suddenly, the freak with blades for hands comes over. "Sorry Shigaraki, but the child is mine. I've been very eager to play with him." The knife freak says. "Fine Royal Ripper, but not here. Do it at my Master's base." Shigaraki says. "Why?" Royal Ripper asks. "Cause I don't want to listen to a brat screaming while I prepare for Garou and All Might." Shigaraki says. "Master, is it really necessary to allow the child to go with Royal Ripper. The child still has a full life ahead—", "I don't care about what happens to this brat. Besides, his crying is annoying me." Shigaraki says cruelly.
Kurogiri looks down in sadness. Hm. Maybe, I could use this to get Kurogiri to tell me where All for One is. That way Garou can find him and deal with him. I watch as Shigaraki orders Kurogiri to teleport Royal Ripper and Kota to Shigaraki's Master's Base. "Now to start planning. Everyone, get rest." Shigaraki says. "Finally! I can rest on my comfy bed! I hate my bed." Twice yells. That just leaves Kurogiri and I.
"Not going to bed, Dabi?" Kurogiri asks. "Nope, I'll stay up a little. Can I have a classic margarita?" I ask Kurogiri. He nods and begins making my drink. "So, what is your opinion on Shigaraki?" I ask him. "Well, despite his attitude and his behavior, he still has so much potential to become—", "No, I mean on a personal level." I say. "Well…I…" Kurogiri says. Probably never had anyone ask him about his honest opinion.
"It's fine. What is said here will stay here." I reassure him. "…Very well. If you must know, I hate everything about him." Kurogiri says immediately. Damn. Straight to the point. "He's insufferable, he is psychotic, and he acts like a child. I've… I've asked Master to try and teach Shigaraki to be mature, but he simply says he'll grow and does nothing." Kurogiri says, getting pissed.
"And no matter what I do, Shigaraki always complains about everything. And I hate that he has no morals or reasoning for the things he does. Many villains have earned my respect for their morals and goals. Like Stain. But kidnapping a child?! Tsk! Who does that?!" Kurogiri says, finally done with his rambling. "Jeez. And I thought I had problems." I say. "I just can't stand him anymore." Kurogiri says.
"Well, to tell you the truth, I ain't staying with this group for long." I whisper over the counter. "Huh?" Kurogiri looks confused. "And I've been thinking, what if I could help you be free from Shigaraki. What if tomorrow night, both Shigaraki and his Master fall." I say. "…I'm listening." Kurogiri says, now intrigued. "I've been working with Garou for a while, so he can finally get rid of the League of Villains." I admit as Kurogiri looks shocked.
"I know you may not like him after he knocked you out, but he could be the key to your freedom. All you have to do is tell me where this All for One is so Garou can take him down and rescue the kid." I say as Kurogiri thinks.
Kurogiri's pov
This is shocking news, but this opportunity could be good. For as long as I can remember, I was always looking after Shigaraki. But no matter what I did, he wouldn't grow up or mature at all. I've tried to teach him about morals, but he believes that it makes him weak. He's completely abandoned his humanity and has become a true monster. In all honesty, he would fit in with Gyoro Gyoro's monsters.
As for Mas—no, All for One. He is diabolical. He is always taking in poor souls who have suffered and twist their minds to become pawns in his game. And allying himself with a monster? Has he truly lost it? Yes. I hate All for One and Shigaraki. Mainly because…All for One took my life away and took my freedom from me.
I've always craved freedom from my masters and to find out who I was before they made me a Nomu. I've always had this feeling that I wasn't always Kurogiri. I may have been someone else. Someone with a family, or friends, but I would always have to put these desires away for Tomura. But now? Now I have a chance to be free if I help Garou. Besides, I do respect Garou. Villains like Stain or Garou always get my respect since, unlike Tomura, they have morals and reasonable goals to achieve.
"…All for One's location is in our Nomu factory in Kamino ward. "Wait, isn't that like a few blocks away?" Dabi questions. "Yes. All for One always wanted to be close to Tomura if he needed him." I answer. "Alright, thanks." Dabi says, walking towards the door with his drink. "I should warn you. All for One and his associate have created new and dangerous creatures in the factory." I warn Dabi. "Don't worry. I'm sure Garou can handle it." Dabi says, walking out the door. I hope you're right. Because I don't know how long that child can last with that vile monster.
At the park
Garou's pov
The hell is taking him so long? I'm waiting for Dabi to show up for the meeting. He said that tonight he would be done with the attack with the training camp and the sun is starting to rise. If he does hurry then I'll just leave before the heroes come. Suddenly, I hear footsteps and see Dabi finally showing.
"Finally, what took you so long?" I ask. "Had a little chat with Kurogiri. He's on our side now." Dabi informs me. "You sure? He is Shigaraki's lapdog." I say. "Heh, Trust me, he hates Shigaraki more than anything." Dabi says. "Alright, so how did the attack go?" I ask. "We lost a couple of members and couldn't capture the student we needed since he got sent to the hospital." Dabi says. "Then who did you get?" I ask. "The Pro hero Ragdoll and some kid." Dabi says. "Kid?" I ask. "Shigaraki said he was close to you. I think his name is Kito, Kote, or—", "Kota?!" I say out loud.
"Yeah that one. Is he important to you or something?" Dabi asks. "Tsk, He's a kid I helped a couple of times." I answer. The hell is wrong with the League?! Kidnapping kids?! Tsk, And why is that Turd always getting into trouble?! "He's been taken to All for One's Nomu factory, so you might be able to get him and All for One while you're at it." Dabi suggests.
"…Tell me the location. I'll go get him at night while it's quiet." I answer. "Better be quick, cause some knife freak is going to slice him into pieces." Dabi says. You've gotta be kidding me?! Royal Ripper is still alive?! I'll deal with him later. "Head back to the League. I'll get Kota and deal with All for One personally." I say as Dabi nods and begins walking back. "By the way, I told a hero student where the League's base is so you may want to expect pros arriving. Especially All Might." Dabi says, leaving. "You better not die on me, Turd." I say to myself.
At the hospital in the middle of the day
Midoriya's pov
"All Might told me there'd always be people beyond our reach. That we can't protect everyone. Even though we want to, we can only save those we can. I was so close to being able to save him. I…needed to save him. And yet…I still couldn't." I say, crying while my classmates stand at my bedside. They all came to check on me since I was injured the most.
"Then…let's go get him." Kirishima says. "What?! We have to leave this to the pros! We shouldn't get involved!" Iida yells. "Maybe, but all I know is that at camp, I couldn't do anything! I heard a kid was targeted and I just stood by and did nothing!" Kirishima yells. "So, if I don't try to help, then how can I call myself a man and a hero?! Come on! He's still within our reach. We can save the kid." Kirishima says to me.
"Even if we go, how are we gonna find them?" Todoroki asks. "When I was fighting the villains, one of the villains said that their base is in Kamino Ward at an old bar. Maybe we can follow the pros and find Kota." I explain. "Have you two lost it?!" Iida yells. "We should just leave this to All Might. Mr. Aizawa only gave us permission to use our quirks at the training camp." Mina says. "Mina is right." Tokoyami says. "You guys are serious?!" Kirishima yells.
"Listen, we're all sad that Kota was taken. But we have to be rational. It does matter how noble your intentions are. If you go out there, trying to find the bad guys knowing you're breaking the rules, then you guys are acting like villains, not heroes." Tsu says. What?! Just because we break the rules, that makes us villains?! "Hey, why don't we just go and take a breather and relax. The heroes will save Kota. They always do." Kaminari says as he and the others leave my room, except Kirishima.
"Todoroki and I talked to Yaouyrozu and she's in. We'll leave tonight to go save him. We'll meet at the front of the hospital." Kirishima whispers to me before leaving.
At night
Midoriya's pov
Yaoyorozu and I exit the hospital and see Kirishima and Todoroki in front of us. "So, how 'bout it?' You decided?" Kirishima asks. Yaoyorozu stays silent before saying, "I think–", "Hold on!" Another voice cuts her off. We turn to see Iida behind us. "Why are you here?" I ask.
Iida stays silent before saying, "You…Why did it have to be you of all people? The one who stopped me when I acted recklessly. Who received amnesty with me after Hosu. Why are you trying to make the same stupid mistake that I made? Didn't you learn?!" Iida asks. "What are you talking about?" Kirishima asks. "We're still just students. And UA is in a bad position as it is. Anything we do will reflect on our school! Don't you get that?!" Iida yells.
"Iida, we have to. I know you don't like us breaking rules, but—" Iida cuts me off by punching me in the face. "I'm frustrated too! And concerned! Obviously! I'm the class rep! Dammit! It's my job to worry for my classmates." Iida yells. "When I saw your injuries, all I could think about was my brother in the hospital. What if your body ends up paralyzed like his? Because I—", "I don't care what happens to me." I cut him off.
"You weren't there Iida. You didn't see Kota's face. You didn't see how scared he was. How he needed me to save him, but I couldn't." I say as I grab Iida by the shirt. "It's my fault he's in their hands! So, it's my responsibility to save him! I don't care if I get paralyzed, or killed for that matter! I will save him! Even if I have to fight you!" I yell in his face. "*Sight*...Please, let me go save him." I say. "But—", "We aren't going to face them head on." Todoroki says. "Yeah. We'll go in stealthy. We can save Kota without breaking the rules." Kirishima says. "I trust all of your judgment. So, I'll join you as backup." Yaoyurozu says.
"Thank you, Momo." Todoroki says. "...I know you won't come to an agreement. So, I'll join you." Iida says. I simply smile as we start to walk to our destination. I promise, Kota. I will save you.
In Kamino Ward
Garou's pov
I stand on a nearby roof as I overlook the Nomu factory. A lot of heroes will be here soon. I have to be quick, but who knows what's inside that building. Either way, I have to push forward. Don't you dare die on me, Kota.
(Note: I completely forgot to tell you last chapter that the Nomu from the training camp arc wasn't there. Why? Well, all I'm gonna say it that the Nomu's are getting an upgrade. As for the other events that I didn't cover, the same things happened like in cannon. Also, I may upload at a slower rate to make better chapters for you guys and because I have to schoolwork and go to football practice. I hope you understand.)
