When Izuku entered the house, Olly had his arms out and someone was getting his measurements. It was a bigger black woman with black hair put into an off-center bun with streaks of blue and yellow in it. Her dress nearly covered her feet, Izuku hardly being able to see her black heels with blue soles. She had a shawl that matched the black-yellow-blue streak pattern, and a fashionable belt around her waist with the same pattern. Her black gloves were short, ending right at her wrists, with bumped edges. She was quite beautiful. What was she doing in their apartment?
Olly put his arms down as she finished scribbling down something on a sheet of paper. "Mhm. And that means I'll need to make this looser."
"Huh? Why?"
She gave him a motherly smile. "Because, you're almost a teenager."
"What's that, exactly?"
She signaled a thumb at Izuku. "Why, take a look at him. He's tall, isn't he?"
"Why, I think he is. But Izuku's not a sheet of origami paper."
"What I'm trying to say it that you'll be having a growth spurt soon. Possibly within a few weeks."
"And that is...?"
"That means you're going to get tall, my King."
"Ooh! Yay!" He hopped up and down twice. "I won't be two feet tall anymore!"
"Why else did you think Mani and Sandi were taller than you?"
"Because the evolution of Origami Folk? I mean, Izuku's world can evolve powers, so why can't Origami Folk evolve shorter?"
"That's not how it works, my liege."
"It's not?" He tilted his head.
Izuku cleared his throat.
"Aah!" Olly jolted. "Izuku! I didn't know you were still standing there!"
"Who's that?"
"I'm the Elastic Entertainer, Rubber Band. Here, I'm human." Izuku noticed two large, round, blue earrings hanging from her ears.
"Are those heavy? They're pretty big."
"No, they're just rubber bands." She moved the small chunk of her hair away from her eye and tucked it behind her ear. "I'm made of them. From my hair to my shoes; even my body. I don't actually look like this. To be honest, I like this form a lot more than the one I had back in our world...Now my beauty can really captivate millions."
"Rubber Band is making me a new outfit. One that just screams 'royal!' If you understand what I'm saying..."
Izuku was startled by a knock on the door. He told Olly to wait a minute and went to answer it. Instead of someone he knew, like he had expected, it was Olive. He waved.
"Zuzu! I followed you home to apologize for being rude earlier." He bowed and Izuku saw him smile at his ridiculous red shoes. "Um...your shoes..." He held back laughter. "They're so silly!"
"Want to say hi to Olly?"
Olive lost all color in his face. "A-"
"I think he'd like you! As a friend, anyways..." Izuku grabbed his wrist and dragged him inside.
"Welcome back, Izuku." Olly was watching Rubber Band. He flinched when she poked him with the sewing needle.
"Sorry, King Olly." Izuku saw her deep blue eyes flick towards Olive's direction. "Who's your little friend and why does he look like my king?"
Olly looked at Olive when she acknowledged him. He turned his head so quickly, Izuku saw his left eye for a moment before his bangs fell back into position. "Oh! Olive! Hello! What are you doing here?"
Olive stayed silent for a solid minute before speaking. "Pooooweeeer..."
"Huh? Do you sense my Fold of Life? Can you sense magic as well?"
"Get me somebody else to love!" Olive pleaded to Izuku, grabbing his shirt collar. "I just can't bare the thought of being turned down by Olls!"
Olly looked pretty confused. "Rubber Band, what is he talking about?"
Her eyes widened. "Uh...He um...likes males."
Olly smiled, clearly not understanding what she meant by that. "Me too. They can be nice."
"You should really talk to your father about this..."
Olly smiled at Olive, and stopped when he saw him sobbing on the ground. "Is he alright?"
"He's a little confused," Izuku shrugged.
"Get him out of here, his sobbing is distracting me!" Rubber Band exclaimed.
Everyone stared at her, so she sighed heavily and picked up Olive by the suit collar. She walked to the door, held him outside, and kicked him into a bush. She dusted off her hands and walked back inside.
"Since you didn't want to do anything," she grumbled.
"You didn't want me to move," Olly said.
"I'm still confused," Izuku stated with a shrug.
Mimi went over to Olive as he was cleaning the leaves from his hair. "No luck in the apology?"
"Oh, that went well! It's just...It's Olls. Why was I built this way? To be attracted to power?"
"Oh, shut up. Just stop being weird around him and we'll be fine. Remember, you're the 'good cop' of this whole plan. If you aren't convincing enough, they'll start to suspect us and our cover'll be blown."
"I know..." He watched Izuku through the window. "But why them? They all seem so nice for villains. Everybody in that class was so accepting!"
"That's called 'manipulation,' Olive." Mimi wrapped her arm around him and forced him closer. "They're trying to trick you. They want you to trust them, only to stab you in the back. It's all part of their master plan. You, Master, and I are the only ones who know what they're truly up to." She leaned in closer to him. "They're just planning to use you, is all. Don't let them get to your head, okay? After all, I'm here to protect you from them. But if you turn against us..." She dug one of her spider legs into his back, stabbing a small hole and letting the blood run out. "We won't hesitate to kill you too." She walked off, her arm returning to normal.
Olive touched the area she injured. She was right, they were just going to hurt him if he let them into his heart. He clenched his hand into a fist, keeping an aggressive eye on Olly.
"You think you can play with my strings, huh? I'll show you. I'll show all of them. No more 'Mister Nice Olive.' Now I'll show you what damage I can really do." He followed Mimi. "Mimi, when can I see Master?"
She stopped walking and laughed. "Trust me, you don't want to see him. Just his name alone strikes fear into the hearts of those who are against us."
"What's he like?"
"A jerk, for starters. He won't stop reading my diary! I kept it in a padlocked safe and he still got his filthy little hands on it!" Her rage died down a bit. "But yet...I can't stop thinking about him. He won't stop occupying my thoughts. I just want him to stop making my heart pound like it does. He's so smart, cunning, and powerful." She sighed dreamily.
"Do you think Master would mind if I...changed up the plan a bit?"
"What? Why would you want to do that?"
"I'll need you to kill Livi."
"You mean that blondie that stole my lead role?" She rested a hand on her hip. "Okay, I'm listening. What do you want me to do?"
"During the play. Kill her. But make it look like an accident on stage. Olls will snap and go berserk like he did when Mind Weaver got to his head. He'll be marked as a villain, and he'll be totally wanted! Then we can get to Zuzu and his friends."
Her eyes grew wide. "You can be pretty nefarious, Olive. But that might just work. With Olly out of the way, it'll be easier to get to Izuku. Maybe we can snatch up his dad while we're at it." She pat him on the shoulder. "Sounds like a plan to me. Now let's discuss her death, shall we? How can we pull it off?"
"After my character's dance with Ayoyama, before your fight with Livi. We'll rig the entire stage as one big trap. Of course you'll know where the traps are, but she won't. She steps on one little pressure plate, and she'll be no more!"
Mimi smirked. "That'll go great with a ballard. I'll work on a song and you can work on the plans for the stage."
"Sounds like a plan to me."
