Light shines down upon Frisk's face as morning rises. She raises her head up as the day before feels like a dream. She had fun in all honesty, she enjoyed spending time with everyone, a creeping feeling of the first time she went to school with humans where something similar happened… then they turned on her and made fun of her. She slightly curls up when suddenly her phone buzzes. She sits up and grabs her phone resting on the night stand looking at it there was a text.
"Howdy, This is Frisk right? I am hoping Sans didn't prank me again with another random person's number. It is Asriel." She reads before she its up, her face flusters. Ugh she should have given them her number, it went by so quickly she forgot.
Quickly typing a reply back as she wonders why he messaged her so early. "Yeah, sorry about that I should have shared my number with you three last night…" She responds, as she goes to place her phone down another ping comes out. Looking at the phone it was him again already… He was fast at typing.
"No worries! It was a crazy day for you. Hope you had fun. Anyways I wanted to ask if you needed a ride to school this morning. I can get Brax and we can pick you up." He says, Frisk's face heats up… Hes offering to pick her up for school. She quickly begins to type away.
"Sure! I wouldn't mind that if it is not too much trouble that is…" She send the message and watches as a few moments later Asriel posts a little chibi sticker of him giving a thumbs up. She smiles at the adorable post as she climbs out of bed and into the bathroom like she normally does, meanwhile in the kitchen Caroline sighs as she glances at the man sitting at her table right now. The large Fox-Monster whom placed her in this situation takes a sip of some coffee as she begins to place down plates onto the table.
"Are you sure we should introduce you now?" Caroline asks her eyes narrow at him. Egel gives a nod as his dull yellow eyes look back at her.
"Yes. I have thought it over yesterday… I plan to start small, no need to distract her with the full truth. We acquaintances for now, is that at least acceptable? I doubt she wants an old fox to walk in and act like her father all of a sudden anyways. She has had a wonderful mother to make her into a wonderful young lady." Egel says calmly before taking another sip of his coffee. Caroline gives a gentle smile, at least he was putting some thought into how he was going to handle this. It wasn't much longer till Frisk comes out, her hair down today as it goes past her shoulders, her eyes on her phone as she types out a message, She glances up and sees Egel before looking at him then seeing her mother turn and motion for her to come sit.
"Uh, hi…" She says curious about the man as she takes a seat on the other side of the. He smiles gently and looks to Caroline.
"You weren't kidding, she really has grown quite a bit. If I ran into her outside of here I wouldn't have noticed Caroline." Egel says, Caroline gives a slight laugh as she nods.
"I tried to warn you you wouldn't recognize her, she was still just a baby when you saw her last." Caroline says, hopefully letting Frisk relax a little by showing he knows her.
"I am sorry, but who is this mom?" Frisk says, she felt a familiarity with him, but it was odd.. she never seen him before and he too was a Fox Monster like her mother.
"Sorry about that, I am Egel Kein. I used to work with your mother before you were brought into her life. I got to meet you shortly before I had to leave for a while." Egel says as he offers his giant hand to Frisk, she takes it and her hand was easily swallowed by his. Talk about being massive, Toriel's hand is the only one that would look normal in his as far as she knew.
"Indeed, you still owe me me quite a bit from a bet we made…" Caroline says, her smile on her face brightly. Egel's face drains as he catches her drift.
"Ah yes… I will see what I can do as soon as I find a place to stay." Egel says, getting a satisfied nod from Caroline. Frisk blinks at the scene before her.
'These two… are they related? He said aquaintance, but the way they speak to each other, almost feels like… were they intimate?!' Frisk's face blushes slightly before digging into her food.
"I See." Frisk says between her first bite. Caroline amused by her daughter's antics. Ah the running mind of a teenager.
"Frisk, I know that look. We arn't related despite our typing being the same… Egel is much older than I am. Hes been around since before even Toriel…" Frisk's eyes bulge as he chuckles.
"An unfortunate bonus of not having a family yet." Egel replies brushing his age off as he digs into his food once again, Caroline follows his lead as the three eat, once finished Frisk looks to Caroline.
"Mom I am going to go ahead and take off, Asriel will be here in a moment to take me to school." Frisk says, getting a nod from her mother.
"I see, then you enjoy yourself. I will see you at class and after as well." Caroline says, watching her daughter stand up and leave the house. Frisk as she walks down the steps of her porch, the familiar car drives up with the back-window rolling down to reveal Asriel and Chara in the back. Asriel waves at her before opening the door, revealing them both dressed in a formal black and purple striped attire, Frisk was starting to be overly curious about the formal and yet uniform their look was starting to be in public. Frisk quickly walks over and climbs in as a voice greets her.
"Morning Miss Frisk, how are you today?" Brax asks as he looks at her through the rear view mirror.
"Morning Mr. Brax." She replies buckling into her seat.
"Please call me Brax. As you see Chara will be properly joining you now to school. After yesterday's incident his father saw fit to… teach him a lesson." Brax says as the vehicle begins to move.
"One you should know about as well; My father and Brax understand you and Chara have had bad interactions with Humans, and Brax suggested if he acts up again we bind him to you for a while… If you don't want to we don't have to, but Brax believes you might be able to chip away at his demeanor with everyone as a whole." Asriel says with a sigh, last night it sounded interesting however; they forgot Frisk is very new to them and he feared it might push her away.
"What do you mean bind him to me?" Frisk asks with a worried thought.
"They mean basically enslave me, putting an enslavement spell on me with you as my master." Chara replies, his tone calmer than last time.
"Uh is that even legal?" Frisk asks getting a headshake from both Asriel and Chara.
"Not entirely, however we can brush it off as a punishment for his actions. Normally for his actions in human courts would be extreme punishement without another chance, As this city is one of the few that abide by laws for cities with multiple races; Laws from both are applied as long as its not to abuse power. A monster law says that one can be punished with enslavement if it is ruled by either court or royal blood to 'reeducate' deliquents of fourteen and older. Below are put in a re-education school. In Monster law, the enslavement can be indefinite… here we can push for up to three years." Brax says as he drives.
"Wait that law is real? I thought it wasn't allowed on a hum-" Asriel's head snaps to Frisk then Chara. "oh my dust, Frisk is the only one who would be able to do it since…" Asriel leans back with a surprised look on his face.
"Wait, if it was you or someone else it would be illegal for me to get enslaved?! Its cause she is a human?! How would she even cast the spell; she is a human!" Chara says annoyed at the potential; he knew humans couldn't use magic.
"Well Frisk is a rare sight; she can use magic." Asriel says as he smiles at Frisk. "I don't think anyone who got the spell cast on them by her could actually disobey its crazy powerful, just unrefined right now."
"I still feel like your over exaggerating it…" Frisk says looking away. "I am unsure, I would prefer that we didn't… it isn't fair to Chara or me really." Asriel nods his head as he looks at Brax.
"I understand Frisk. While Chara is dealing with his current we will think of another route of course." Brax says the group gets closer to the school, Chara's eyes soften as he looks at Frisk, He expected her to be understanding why, even after his actions the day before… and yet here she is saying it isn't fair… for him. A slight bit of relief comes from these words and he felt a bit safer from his punishment.
'This… Why should I accept her pity… but its not pity is it? This isn't like before…' He was unsure what to do, however for this moment he would relax, and not be whom he usually was; he could be the younger brother whom was fondly remembered by Asriel.
Upon arriving to the school, Frisk notices Fenor and Teina on their way in as they were climbing out of the vehicle, their bags for their own personal supplies incase they needed it slung over their shoulders, Frisk instinctively reaches for her shoulder and feels the missing strap. Her eyes widen as she groans, causing Chara and Asriel to look at her.
"Everything alright?" Asriel asks as she points to their backpacks and then her lack of one.
"I forgot my bag, great this is starting off well…" Frisk says with a groan and a slump. Brax whom was listening with the window down glances back at her.
"I will go retrieve your bag if you will let your mother know before I leave here." Brax says, Frisk looks at him and nods as she pulls out her phone and begins to send a text to Caroline. " I will head that way then, I will let the school call for you when your bag arrives or send it to you." He says before driving off. Chara sighs as he waves to the two.
"See you two later I guess? Gonna go to class." Chara says as he starts to leave Asriel smiles and waves at him.
"Take care bro, see you at lunch or after school!" Asriel calls out as he and Frisk rush to their lockers and class, now that school has taken a full swing everyone knew attendance was going to be tighter. Quickly walking into class with their class's books they take a seat as Oobleck becomes a blur as he moves, hyped up on his coffee as he begins to speak.
"Morning class, Today we will review the inner most depths of what we now call; The Human-Monster war. Turn your books to page 143; Now this is one of the many sections of History that I deem both the most informative and quite valuable to take in!" He says as he moves to the chalkboard. "During the year XX83, a human was found killed and their soul was about to be taken by a Monster. This is what we know from the typical stories however this is more to this; Can anyone care to tell me the problem with this story?" He asks as he looks into his classroom
Frisk raises her hand, Oobleck points to her as she stands.
"There is too many holes, such as how did the human die? If the Monster was caught why didn't they take it and run? Why let them selves get so easily caught if that was the case? I read the original tales stated that the Monster was covered in blood, yet never mentions if there was magic damage. Monster spells typically leave some sort markings showing the attack was intentional; its how Monster magic works." Frisk says as she recalls her old home school teaching.
"Correct! There are indeed many un-explained things with the original story as if no one bothered to explain the whole situation, Most the world knows now that the Monster in question was a child whom tried to protect the human from a wild animal that had gone extremely aggressive, The Human in question was also the Monster's guardian, during a time when Monsters were vanishing and dieing off leaving children of some to be homeless and without family. The soul never left the body before the war began as it was used as an excuse by the six of the eight mages. One refused to side with their kin and another gone missing before it all happened."
Oobleck says as he looks around. "Some even say that the eight mage is the cause of it all; however there has been no evidence to support such actions. Shortly after the war began Monsters began to search for a way to protect their kin, they began to retreat to their vaults as we call them now; if the mages had succeeded, the vault we all live next to would have originally called; The Underground, and the Monsters we know today would either not exist or be sealed deep underground as if they were the problem. All the while; Some of the most legendary names to survive the war was due to their quick and tactical options." Bleck says as he finishes writing on the board.
On the board was several names on the wall. "This here is the Tweleve most legendary Monsters to still exist today." Of the twelve names Frisk's eyes widen as she sees three familiar names. "Of the twelve we have at least five in the city still; Gaster Wingdings, Asgore and Toriel Dreemurr, Gerson, and finally while he has not been easily seen Egel Kein. Gaster was the head of all things magical during the war making contraptions to stall and protect. There are those who say they made weapons; however none of those have yet to be found. Gerson lead defense squadrons of magic squads. Allowing the protection of small cities and towns during the war. Alot of lives were saved by his actions. Asgore was never far behind his previous king Egel. Egel the last of the pure Monsters, as possible the first son of Monsters to ever exist, and finally we have Toriel; during the war she was trained to take her mother's place as the Medicinal Shaman of then." Oobleck says as he looks to the class.
"Any questions?" He asks before taking drink from his thermos.
Frisk sighs as the two gather their things to leave the lesson went on and felt like forever. The knowledge they gained however weighed heavily on Frisk's mind. Asriel glances over as he slings his backpack over his shoulder.
"You good?" Frisk nods.
"Yeah, Its just I actually met Egel today; if he is as old as he is why does he hide and not help people. I am sure there is a lot we could learn from someone like him." Asriel's eyes widen as he looks at her.
"You met him?! Not even Sans could find him I heard, How the heck did you meet him?!" Asriel asks as the two reach their locker.
"Well apparently he knows my mother, he came by to properly meet me this morning for breakfast." Asriel's eyes narrow curiously.
"He knows her, shows up randomly at your house to meet you. That is weird as all dust." Frisk nods as she puts her history books up and grabs her books for the next class, it was then a girl with dark brown hair and brown eyes walks up to Frisk.
"Hey are you Frisk by chance? The office asked me to give you this." The girl says as she holds out a gray backpack with a numerous amount of adorable little charms on it.
"Oh my backpack, thank you so much for bringing me this… uh sorry I don't know your name." Frisk says as she looks at the girl, wearing slim sundress like attire with whites and green color. She smiles back and gives a gentle wave.
"Its fine, I am Penny. Nice to meet you, hate to leave, but I need to get to my next class." Penny says getting a nod.
"Same, see you around Penny!" Frisk says, this whole time Asriel was watching the girl. She seemed oddly familiar, and not in the good way. Penny leaves, Asriel steps up behind Frisk and frowns.
"I don't trust her…" He says out right, Frisk curiously looks at him.
"Why?" She asks, confused why he wouldn't trust her.
"Something is off about her. She was too… calm. Just to be safe double check if you have all if your stuff when you get a chance okay Frisk?" Frisk curiously nods. Asriel was her friend, and she wasn't about to completely dismiss the fact she was calm and very casual with her, she needed to know her more to be sure Penny was truly a good person. Frisk and Asriel head towards the their next class.
In another class Chara was staring out his window from his spot at his desk. His eyes trail to the clear blue sky, calm and still. The complete opposite of his mind as he feels unsure what to do. He had to keep himself out of trouble so he didn't get forced into anything else. He lost everything so far and it sucked and yet he seemingly didn't feel like anything had changed. Normally he would have done what had been doing and ditched school by now.
"You must be Chara." A voice calls out causing him to turn and face his teacher. Before him was none other than Caroline smiling at him as she lowers to his desk.
"Oh uh yes. Hello teach." He says before glancing away again.
"Is everything okay? You are just like Toriel's said you were, an almost distinct opposite of Frisk." Caroline says catching Chara off-guard.
"Huh? You know Frisk? And my mother?" He asks getting a nod. It was still too early as she sits in a chair next to him as they were the only two in the class now.
"Yes, Frisk is my daughter, as for Toriel we have been friends since I came to this city." Caroline says, Chara sits up looking at her.
"I see… can I ask a question then about Frisk?" He asks getting a curious glance.
"You should be asking Frisk, but it depends on what it is." Caroline says, he nods before looking to the sky again.
"I over heard that Frisk didn't have the greatest time around Humans, how is she still so-"
"Your wondering how Frisk can still smiling and show compassion despite her rough childhood huh?" Caroline asks cutting him off, Chara nods as he looks back.
"Yeah… I havn't been the greatest person I won't lie. Humans just, make me so angry though and yet…" He says as he looks into his hands.
"I see your mind is wandering, Frisk's spark of kindness blinding aint it. I don't know why she is the way she is, she would stay down for long. She used to come home covered in bruises and marks from her bullies, and despite that I don't think I ever saw her raise her hand to hurt anyone. Perhaps she feels it will do nothing to act upon vengence and getting back for all that happened to her, who is she supposed to do it to; the people whom did it to her, or the people whom she knows naught of?" Chara's eyes widen some as he hears Caroline's words.
"I… perhaps. Thank you for that Miss Caroline." Chara replies. "Also sorry I wasn't here yesterday." Caroline smiles and rubs his head gently, his face flusters as he recalls how both Asgore and Toriel used ruffle his hair, a small smile on his face as he recalls those days… how long has it been since he felt truly felt happy?
"Its fine, everyone deals with their own things; we just have to be patient. If you need anything feel free to talk to me okay?" Caroline says standing up as classmates start to pour in. Chara opens his book as he prepares for class.
"Morning class…" Caroline says as the bell rings.
However…
Frisk and Asriel annoyingly staring at the door to the classroom, they had just arrived a few minutes before the bell rang when their wonderful teacher Linda decided they needed a 'talk', and before they know it they were kicked out of the class, and without their stuff.
'Remember, do not kill humans. Do not kill humans…. Do not kill Linda…' Asriel's thoughts hammered, an anger he never expected. They wondered where Fenor and Teina were when they entered the room. Now they knew why, must have kicked them out as well in the same fashion.
"Asriel, for once… I want to punch someone." Frisk says as she glares calmly at the door.
"Think you could follow through?" Asriel asks, a loud hum comes from Frisk.
"No… I don't think so." Frisk says, getting a nod from Asriel.
"Good thing you don't need to either…" The two turned to see an older man with Fenor and Teina. Fenor, calm and Teina with a sickly sweet smile. "Did miss Linda set you two out as well?" The man asks as he gets a nod from the two of them, he smiles softly as he opens the door and motions them in. The five walk in, Linda was sitting smug at her desk when suddenly her only Monster students and Frisk walk in. The man smiling still as her face drains with color.
"Miss Linda Valhorn. Could we speak…?" He asks calmly as the two walk outside. Frisk and them get to their seats, the other students starting to chuckle at the teacher's misfortune. It wasn't much long as he comes back in. "You all are free to study or take it easy till your next class. Linda will be taking some… extra lessons to heart." He says getting the group to smirk at the situation. Frisk leans back as she looks to Asriel.
"So, Asriel you want to hang out again today after school?" Frisk asks, she notices Teina giving her a sly look as she gives a thumbs up her face flushes some before looking away. Asriel leans against his desk as he ponders for a moment before nodding.
"Hmm sure why not. You got any plans you want to do?" Frisk shakes her head.
"I… never really had Friends who truly wanted to hang out…" Frisk responds with a frown before looking away.
'Then what ca-' Asriel's thoughts were interrupted as he gets an idea. 'I have a feeling I am going to regret this, however leaving Frisk alone with Teina would not be ideal… especially Teina's taste of clothing sometimes…' a memory of Teina wearing a yellow tank-top with green shorts, both tie-dyed with other neon colors causes a mental shudder. 'I do not want to imagine Frisk in such…'
"Well, consider it my treat. I am guessing you haven't gotten many chances to go shopping for anything you wanted… within reason of course." Asriel says as he pulls out his phone typing out a text to Teina. Upon sending it, Teina's phone vibrates on her desk.
"Who co- Asriel… why not just tell me what you need instead of texting I am right here…" Teina says confused at her friend's actions. Asriel motions to his phone before looking away embarrassed. Looking at the message she smirks. "Oh poor Asriel, too embarrassed to ask a girl to help you help a girl eh?" Teina teases. "Nah, Frisk you good with me tagging along, I doubt you two wanna be looking at say clothes with him alone." Teina says getting Asriel to bury his head into his desk and arms in embarrassment. Frisk blushes before she realizes that situation would be weird especially when it came to…
"Y-Yes that is quite fine! The more the merrier I say!" Frisk says with a red face as she tries to hide it. Teina gives a chuckle, seeing a smile on Fenor's face next to her. These two were too easily embarrassed. Oh yes, they were perfect together.
'And to think, if they get together and caught in something REALLY embarrassing, oh god their faces! I must see that eventual outcome!' Teina cheers mentally as she knows this time its not to be taken lightly for clothes. She had to make sure Frisk was catching Asriel's every glance. Who knows maybe she can get Asriel something too to catch Frisk's eyes… maybe really nice suit. The three discussed their plans as Fenor takes his leave to study for class in the library.
Class soon ended, however the day was far from over, before anyone knew it, it was time for lunch. Chara grabs his tray before moving towards an empty table, an arm wraps around his neck causing him to stop.
"If it aint lil old Chara!" A purple eyed teen about Chara's age looks him in the eyes with a dangerous glint in his eye.
"If it ain't the dickheads." Chara says with a said as two other teenage boys walk up, one with blue and the other with green eyes.
"Aw, we are dickheads now huh?" The purple eyed one said as he pulls Chara to sit with him and the other two. "What happened to partners? Back when you and Jake still ran with us we were unstoppable… now your back all of a sudden I would say a celebration is in order…" He says as Chara glares at him.
"Viol, I am not joining you and your idiots Em, and Saph. I am not going to play your schemes anymore." Chara says before Viol laughs.
"Ah such a kidder… Eat up Chara after lunch we have a fun new target to mess with." Viol says brushing off Chara's words whom grits his teeth and clenches his hands against his tray.
'He always does this! What ever he wants he gets, how the hell is he even here?!' Chara growls mentally, he tries to ignore Viol and the other two as they belittle Monsters as a whole, and then mention something about humans raised by Monsters… more so a new person.
"Besides Chara, whom obviously didn't lose his Humanity being raised by them, can't say the same for that freak of nature who can use magic." Chara's eyes widen slightly. "I managed to find out she has lived with Monsters since her mother died. Likely killed by the dumb bitch whom took her." A twitch of anger rises in Chara's chest.
"For real, I bet that Monster is as ugly as the rest and couldn't find a proper cock to breed her." Em the green eyed boy says as he snickers. "I bet if she would bend over, I know a few people who might give her a real fun time." Em says licking his lips. A churning disgust rises in Chara's stomach, his appetite fading and his anger rising, his hands form fists and do a quick inch slam into the table making the three look at him.
"Shut up…" Chara mumbles as his fists shake, his head looking down as his eyes glimmer a vibrant red color under his thick redish-brown hair.
"Oh? What you care for Monsters now too? Don't tell me your going soft. Come on look, that girl who lives with Monsters is just a few tables ahead. Tell me she isn't a freak for being so friendly with them!" Viol says, Chara looks up to see Frisk, cheerfully talking with Asriel, Teina, and Fenor. A flicker to when he met them in his mind causes him to stand up.
"I will do what I want, I don't give a shit what you want me for Viol. I ain't doing it." Chara says as he tries to grab his tray to walk away. From their table Asriel spots this and points getting the others to notice. Viol grab the tray and pulls it away before stepping up to Chara, standing a foot taller than Chara he smirks.
"Gotten even ballsier eh?" Viol says before he grabs Chara by his inner shirt and lifted in the air. Chara didn't even flinch as he glares at Viol.
"Hey!" Asriel yells as he starts to walk up to the situation, The blue eyed teen named Saph walks up and blocks Asriel from getting closer. "Move the hell out of my way."
"Fuck off beast." Saph says, a numerous gasps as everyone's eyes lie on the group. Frisk's eyes widen as she looks at the boy in surprise as he glares at her. "The fuck you looking at freak." Frisk shrinks at the words, looks away ashamed. Chara's eyes on her the entire time, The anger… he could care less about his punishment… however no one would disrespect those he respected… Frisk even for a moment earned his respect for respecting his free-will this morning. Caroline showed him respect and care as a person.
"Now Chara if you don't want to end up as a bloodied mess I wou-" Viol's words cut off as Chara smashes his head into him causing him to drop, landing on his feet with a bit of surprise to everyone as he fixes his attire before standing up straight.
"That the fucking best you can do?" Chara asks his eyes glaring at Viol whom glares back, Viol's head red from the impact, he was also not balanced properly as Chara walks up and slams a right hook hard into his face causing Viol to fall to the ground. Em rushes up and pushes Chara down and begins to try to wail on him and sit on him to prevent him from fighting back. The first four hits landed, as Asriel who tries to move gets pushed back and onto his back as Saph pushes his foot into Asriel's chest, the boy was heavier than expect as Asriel struggles to remove it from his chest as he puts all his weight into it. Frisk looks up as the fourth hit lands on Chara as she sees the determination in his eyes, he was fighting for something more than an insult to him…
Chara rolls as something slams into him and Em. As he tries to stand he sees Em growling.
"You dumb bitch, stay the fuck out of our way!" Em says before he throws a punch. Chara's eyes widen as the punch connects with Frisk's face whom was on the ground. Then another and another.
'She… She…' Chara's feet push as he finds his body moving on its own. Asriel whom saw it from the corner of his eyes narrow as he twists the foot of the boy causing him to scream with a sickening crack. Chara's hand grabs Em by the back of his shirt throwing him to the floor as he begins to do what Em had done to him moments before. Slamming fist after fist into Em he yells out.
"Don't you ever touch my family ever again!" He yells in anger, before he stops and pants staring down at Em's beaten form. The boy's face swollen and one of his eyes swollen shut, blood flowing from his broken nose and busted lip.
Chara was sitting at the desk with Toriel and Asgore next to him, the Principle before him. Chara's face bandaged up slightly and only a bruise on his cheek was the apparent damage, With the Nurse taking care of Viol and Frisk, leaving Chara's injuries to be checked out by Paramedics that got called in for the others...
"So that sums it up. While normally I would be pushing for Chara's suspension now, after a fair bit of consideration I figured that the fault lied with us for not catching the first group's deliquency. We made an exception with Chara that he behave, and today besides that showed he could do just that. We the school teachers, and I agreed that this was retaliation in the end and will just have detention for this weekend only." The man says getting a sigh from Toriel whom glares at Chara.
"Sorry…" Chara says quietly. The man shakes his head.
"No, it is my fault that you, and your friends got hurt. I forget how deep some pockets can be sometimes." He says admitting to not caring for his student's well being enough in his eyes.
"Thank you sir, we should get Chara, and Asriel home." Toriel says as she stands. The man nods as Asgore glances at Chara whom stares at the floor refusing to look anyone in the eyes. Asgore nodded silently as he offers Chara his hand which he takes as the three leave.
"I can't believe you did that Chara?! Now…" Toriel starts before Asgore shakes his head.
"Dear, Toriel…. I think Chara was fighting for something more than a fight wasn't it?" He asks getting a slow nod.
"They… spoke about Frisk's mother so badly I was already upset… however then when I tried to walk away, I lost it seeing Frisk look ashamed as if she done something… we never chose this path of living with Monster kind, and yet we are treated less because of her and she never had the opportunity I had. She has nothing to be ashamed of…" Chara says getting a nod from Asgore.
"As I thought. I believe this is more than acceptable then and I won't be pushing for your punishment." He says getting a look from Toriel and him. "I may be the boss now, however does not mean I do not care son, I worried that you had fully closed your heart to the love around you and I see it has not. We love you Chara, always will." Asgore says as the three show up in the nurse's office, Aside Viol whom was knocked out in one hit, Saph had to go to the ER for his leg after Asriel twisted it in half almost. Em's face was swollen shut and also was rushed to the ER so he didn't suffocate or drown in the blood he was leaking from his broken nose and teeth.
Asriel was fine however he stayed by Frisk's side whom received a black eye and a concussion from the hits Em did as the three entered, Toriel gasps as she rushes over to Frisk whom was giving a small snoring noise as she was given some pain medication half a
"Oh dear, I heard Frisk got hit, however I didn't know it was this bad!" Toriel says as Chara frowns at Frisk's state. Asriel saw Chara as he stood up and started to move towards him. Chara thinking Asriel was upset that Frisk got hurt prepared for the words or perhaps even his fists.
"Asriel I-" a warm hug surrounds him causing him to look surprised. Asriel's tight hug as he holds his brother close.
"Idiot… why do you always do stupid stuff…" Asriel says sniffling a bit. Chara weakly returns the hug with a gentle smile, a spark of hope resides in his heart from this as he fights back tears.
"Sorry brother." Chara says as he sees him pull back.
"With only a bruise and a scrape to the head huh?" He says as he looks at Frisk. "She would have been worse if you hadn't stopped him then…" Chara frowns.
"Em was always a tough jerk… I am sorry I didn't act sooner. Frisk didn't deserve this, neither of you did. I hope your okay too Asriel…" Chara asks getting a nod.
"Just a little dirt from your crappy ex-pal's shoe. Sorry about his leg." Chara scoffs.
"He didn't need it." Chara says getting a smile from Asgore, Toriel tending to Frisk's face as she manages to get any swelling and bruising to fade away. As she groans before sitting up.
"Toriel? What are you doing here?" She asks as she sees Toriel hovering over here
"I was using magic to assist your recovery, I was taking lunch with Asgore when we got called about what happened. How are you feeling Frisk?" Toriel asks as she helps the girl up to the edge of the bed.
"A little sore? Other than that, I don't feel like I got punched like I did earlier…" Frisk says as Toriel nods.
"I took care of your injuries, thankfully they weren't worse." She says with a sigh.
"Is Chara okay?" Toriel blinks as she turns to look at Chara whom sees Frisk look at him. "Good thing your okay Chara." She says getting a frown from Chara.
"Why though, you don't even know me…" Chara asks curious why Frisk did that.
"Well… not yet. But my mother always said to me, strangers are just friends you haven't met yet… we may not have started off on the right foot, but if we are going to see each other why make it miserable?" Frisk says smiling at him. Toriel smiles at Frisk's words as Chara nods, however he found himself without anymore words. Asriel however suddenly perks up as he speaks out.
"Oh yeah Frisk, this is my father. Asgore Dreemurr." Frisk hears Asriel before she looks to the man with the golden beard as his attire was very much formal unlike Chara and Asriel's suit, he was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt and black tie completed with black pants. This repeated theme off formal attire was starting to catch her attention. He offers his hand, and it was similar sized to Egel's.
"Asgore Dreemurr, an honor to finally meet you Frisk. Sans and Alphys told me quite a bit about you. I look forward to working in the future with you." Asgore says as he motions for Chara to follow. Toriel looks to Frisk curiously, while Frisk wonders why she would work with Asgore in the future…
"So Mom, would it be okay if I hung out with Frisk longer? I can always call Brax to pick us up." Asriel asks, getting a nod from his mother.
"After an incident like that, perhaps being around someone would be good for you two. Go right ahead my child. If I am still here by the time you leave the building I will drive you where you want." Toriel says before leaving them to gather their things. Frisk gasps as she stands up her muscles sore in her legs as she recalls the leap she did, sitting back down she reaches down to rub the muscles in her legs.
"That wasn't very smart I know…" Frisk says as she massages her legs over her calves.
"Though Chara would have gotten hurt badly if you hadn't done that too… It would have been just as bad." Frisk nods as she stands up straight once more. "Thank you Frisk, I just wish the teachers got there sooner." He says with a sigh. "Anyways lets go steal Teina and take you shopping… Actually let me call my father up and get the money while you get Teina alright?" Frisk nods as she takes her things and goes to find Teina in the mass of students leaving the building.
The rest of the school was ending early as the principle saw fit to look into possible incidents he should have known and found more than he wanted. All teachers with the exception of Toriel whom had to take care of Chara and Asriel from the incident at lunch. Asriel pulls out his phone with a sigh, he knew he had saved up some money from his allowance, but he wanted to make sure he had plenty for the fact it may be a massive headache in the end. Digging through his contacts he finds his father and presses call before raising his phone to his ear.
"Hello Asriel, you do not call me often. How can I help you today my son?" Asgore's voice comes through.
"Hey dad, uh can I borrow some money?" He asks, he had a feeling his father was going to ask him something in exchange.
"Perhaps, have you already gone through your allowance for this month as well as your savings?" Asgore asks curiously.
"No, not at all! I was… taking Frisk to go shopping, to try and let her do something freely with friends since I figured she would like that…" Asriel says, his voice shaky with embarrassment.
"No need to be so flustered son… I will turn on the card. Spend what you need. However, I do need a favor as well." Asgore says, Asriel nods.
"I understand dad, I guess be home by six and your office by eight?" Asriel asks.
"No, tomorrow after school. No delays. I was going to ask you to come by tomorrow when you got home." Asriel's eyes widen slightly. "You enjoy yourself Asriel, we will discuss how you will repay this however after your task is done, if you do well perhaps I will consider that payment." Asgore says with a slight teasing tone before hanging up. Asriel sigh as he places his phone away and pulls out his wallet and looks at a solid black card with a diamond effect band on the corner. Reading "Meta Bank' he sighs as this was going to be hard to explain to Frisk. He knew why he did the card instead of cash.
'Dad, if we force this on her she may run away! I… I know you want her in the family, however we are far from the most legal and definitely not the most peaceful solutions are chosen. She may not want to be around me… if she learns the blood on my hands.' Asriel sighs as he shakes a hazy image of a pool of blood out of his head.
"Got her!" Frisk calls out, Asriel turns to see Teina and Frisk walking back into the nurse's office, as the three group up the nurse whom was a Cat-type Monster walks in, her eyes roll and tail flicks with annoyance.
"Please do not make this your meetup spot, I have another student still in here." She asks.
"We won't Miss Naya." Asriel says as the three leave. Walking outside they see Toriel getting into her own vehicle, a simple royal blue van. She looks about as she buckles in and notices them making their way towards her. Toriel unlocking the rest of the doors allowing the trio to pour into the middle seats.
"Where you three headed Asriel?" Toriel asks with a smile.
"To the mall please." Asriel responds as the group drives off and soon arrive up at a large three story mall. Frisk and Teina smile as they climb out as they walk off Toriel sighs as she glances to Asriel. Just as he starts to climb out she grabs his arm gently.
"Asriel a moment." She says with a sigh. Asriel sits down and looks at his mother. "You doing alright my child? I know your distracted the whole trip here I could tell you were fidgeting with something. My guess it is your wallet." Asriel sighs with a nod.
"Yeah… dad is just pressuring me to tell Frisk." Asriel says with worry in his voice. Toriel knew of what has happened with her son, she knows what is going through his head about his friend and his past.
"I see, we will talk tonight then alright Asriel? Don't worry about explaining today have fun. Frisk and Teina are waiting on you at the door, best to get a move along." Toriel says before letting him leave with a gentle smile, yet a dim sadness in her eyes.
Asriel rushes up to the two girls, getting a smile from them as they head inside, Oddly enough the first place they quickly find themselves exploring is a game store. Frisk staring in awe at a portable handheld device, Asriel glances at her with amusement.
"You want it Frisk?" Asriel asks as he looks at her, as she stands up blushing.
"I uh…" Frisk starts unsure what to say. She wanted to say yes, and yet she sees the price and feels instant regret for wanting it.
"Frisk, its okay. Im treating you, I don't mind a little gift like this…" Asriel says with a smile on his face, mentally he was a little sad she was so hesitant, cause he knew she was wanting it and would regret it for the price. If his family hadn't been as well off as they are… he would be in a pinch to do so.
"A-Are you sure? Its so expensive…" Frisk mews with a frown. Teina smiles as she rubs Frisk's shoulders some from behind.
"Frisk, you need to relax… remember, this is all about you today girl. Right Asriel?" Teina asks Asriel, whom nods with a bright smile on his face.
"Yeah, Normally me, Teina, and Fenor used to go practice magic or play video games. Sometimes when I feel up to it I take Teina and Fenor shopping. So I feel up to taking you to go shopping, We already went over the reason Teina is here…" Asriel says as he looks at the console. "Teina, is your online still active for your system?" He asks getting a shake from her.
"Nah expired two months ago. I can renew if you want me to." Asriel shakes his head.
"I gotcha you guys, Fenor was talking about getting on Hunter Squad again anyways. Alright Frisk lets find some games for you to play." Asriel says finalizing his choice. Frisk stutterrs as she reaches out to Asriel whom walks away towards the games. Teina gives a laugh as she pats Frisk's shoulders again causing her to sigh as Frisk accepts defeat as she walks over to pick some games. Teina follows as she helps her new friend pick some games. By the time they leave, They have a cart with a game system, several boxes for accessories, including extra controllers, battery-pack, screen protectors. Case, and more… the games however… a whopping forty-seven games across four bags. Most of them were games that Asriel and Teina reccommended or owned as a group to play online.
"Whoa! Havn't seen you spend that much on a person in a while Asriel…" Teina says staring at the basket. Frisk's face a deep red of embarrassment.
"H-He even bought warranty for all of it…" Frisk mumbles in awe. Teina had to nod a bit. Asriel did go a little overboard.
"H-Hehe my bad, I guess I wanted to include Frisk in our gaming if she wanted to, but after seeing you want the system made me realize I can chose to treat my friends with a gift… consider this my gift for being my friend." Asriel says with an embarrassed chuckle. Frisk may not notice the look on his face, Teina smirks as she looks at Asriel whom starts to scratch the back of his head with another chuckle as Frisk complains that hes too nice to her.
'Your both absolutely infatuated with each other… and don't even know it.' Teina mentally sighs as she grabs both of their shoulders with a big smile.
"So we aren't done right? Frisk still needs to go shopping for clothes with me!" Teina says, causing Frisk to pale at what that meant. Asriel, however decided if hes going to go crazy, he could go crazy. And so Teina drags Frisk away to the women's section. Asriel snickers as he lets them wander off as he goes and leans against some railing over a small ledge. He looks out into the mall when he hears footsteps and an exhale.
"Hows it goin buddy?" Sans says as he joins Asriel leaning against the rails facing away.
"Howdy Sans, its not often you come to talk to me alone. What is it?" Asriel asks, Sans never casually spoke with him, ever since Asgore took his place in the family business as he prefers to call it.
"What can't I visit to talk…" Sans says cautiously eyeing Asriel whom turns his head to glare back at him.
"Cut the crap Sans, what is it." Sans sighs as he turns around and leans against the rails the same as Asriel.
"Truthfully I did want to check in with you…" Sans says as he looks down before reaching into his jacket and sneaking Asriel a thumb drive, whom takes it in curiously. "That is reports from Chara's and your old sectors the most recent ones. Asgore told me I should give it to you, that you'd know what to do with it." Asriel frowns at that. More from his father's work… more of that life he still sees in his dreams as nightmares.
"What did you want personally Sans." Asriel asks still skeptical about Sans's personal visit portion. Sans sighs as he looks at Asriel dead serious in his eyes.
"Don't tell Frisk about the family. Ever."
