The girls soon arrived back at the throne in the Ruins of Salacia. "Do it fast, Polvina," said Ester, who was worried that the mysterious fish would still be lurking around.

Polvina explained, "Okay, the trick is in the 'Speak it' part. It tells you what to say. Speak 'the truth of the guardians'."

It was then that the throne rumbled as it pulled back, revealing in the space beneath it another copy of the History of Salacia.

"Could this be the true one?" wondered Ester.

"It has to be," replied Tubarina.

"At last! Now, we'll find out who the guardians are," exclaimed Polvina.

The girls turned to the chapter on the guardians. They read it and they became stunned at what they just learnt.

"This can't be right," said Ester.

"It's impossible!" said Tubarina.

"I don't believe it!" said Polvina.

"So, I see you finally know the truth now," said the mysterious saline. It was then that the mysterious fish surrounded them, inflating themselves in defence.

"BLOWFISH!" yelled the girls, dropping the book in fright.

Polvina pleaded, "Please, we don't mean any harm."

Ester added, "We only wanted to know the truth about the guardians."

"Stand down," said the mysterious saline, and the blowfish deflated themselves as he came out. The mysterious saline was a young and pudgy boy, wearing shorts and a cap in the shape of a blowfish that enclosed his head. He saw the girls and suddenly became nervous at the sight of them. "Oh, um… I-I-I'm sorry. I'm not used to being around anyone, especially not… girls…"

"That's okay. Take your time. I take it you're the Blowfish Prince, am I right? What's your name?" asked Polvina.

"My name is Dinho. And I'm not just the Blowfish Prince. I'm also the Guardian Prince of Salacia. I see you girls know my pet, Bib."

Bib went over to the girls to say hello. Ester responded, "Wow, Bib, we never knew you had a prince or that you were his pet!" Bib chuckled at that comment.

The girls introduced themselves to Dinho before Tubarina jumped back to the subject at hand. "So it's true, then? The blowfish really are the guardians of Salacia?"

"Yes, they are. And as part of the Blowfish Royal Family, I am one of them as well. We guardians travel all over Salacia and look over everything to ensure that everyone upholds the Laws of Salacia. The goddess Salacia gave us the ability to speak to and understand every creature in her world. Anyway, congratulations on solving the riddle and discovering our secret."

"Oh, it was mostly me," said Tubarina, taking all the credit. "Oh, uh, they did help, but not much."

"And now that you know our secret," continued Dinho, "you must promise us not to tell anyone else."

Tubarina was shocked. "What? I solved the riddle and now I can't tell anyone?"

"You can't, Tubarina. Not a word," scolded Bib.

Polvina added, "And it wasn't you who solved the riddle, Tubarina. I did. You just sat there and slept while Ester and I worked it out. Well, you did give me the key to solving it, so I guess you do deserve some credit."

Ester switched the subject back. "Anyway, Tubarina, you promise you won't tell anyone about what we just learned?"

"Oh, alright then," said Tubarina, dejectedly.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

"And we promise too," said Polvina.

"Same here!" said Ester.

"Thank you," said Bib.

"It's us who should thank you for being the guardians," said Ester as she, Polvina and Tubarina bowed to Dinho, Bib and the blowfish.

"Your secret will be safe," said Polvina. The girls straightened themselves back up, but before they knew it, the other blowfish were gone, leaving only Dinho and Bib with them. "Where did they go?" Polvina then noticed Dinho staring at them with a stunned face. "Um, Dinho? Are you alright?"

"Wha? Oh, I'm sorry for staring at you. It's just… I'm so curious about what it's like to be a normal Salacian prince. My family and I had to blend in with civilians in order to do what we have to do, so we live in the metropolis. Miss Marla visits me once a month to bring me my schoolwork, so I never got to make any friends, let alone find out how ordinary children live. I always wondered what it would be like to be like them, or like you."

"Really? So you're like Bia then?" wondered Tubarina.

"I'm sorry, who?"

Polvina stepped in. "She means the Abysmal Princess. I've always been curious to find out what the lives of ordinary children in Salacia are like. It's too bad you didn't really get to find out… but if you want to make friends and live like a normal prince, we can certainly help with that."

"But Polvina," Ester interrupted, "what about the secret? We're not supposed to tell anyone about the blowfish being the true guardians of Salacia!"

"We can't tell anyone about that," replied Polvina, "but nobody said we can't introduce everyone to Dinho, the Blowfish Prince." She then turned to Dinho. "Come on. We'll talk to Miss Marla and your parents and see if they can let you come to our school."

Ester commented, "Who would ever have thought of blowfish as the guardians of Salacia?"

Polvina giggled and replied, "No one. That's the whole point!"

"What's the point?" Tubarina asked.

Dinho answered, "The blowfish are so insignificant that they're the last animal anyone would think would be the guardians of Salacia."

Polvina added, "They can do their job without anyone suspecting who they are. Neat, huh?"

"I suppose so," Tubarina reluctantly agreed.

"Come on. It's time we headed home," said Ester.

"Okay," said Dinho, "but I've got to do this first. Hang on." He took the true History of Salacia and put it back in the space where it belonged. The throne slid back to its original position and the girls left the ruins with Dinho and Bib.

As the girls headed back to Salacia with Dinho, Polvina saw Tubarina looking disappointed. "Don't be so sad, Tubarina. Think of the great adventure we've had today," she reassured.

"But we can't use any of what we've learnt for our assignment!" Tubarina replied.

Ester said, "That's okay. We'll just write about the history of Salacia, like we were going to do in the first place. Even though it is pretty easy."

Polvina wondered for a moment. "Hmm… maybe there is a way we can still talk about the guardians of Salacia without revealing the secret. Dinho, how would you like to help us with our assignment?"

"Even though I've never been to your school yet?" Dinho said. "Sure, why not? I'd love to know what you have in mind. How about it, Tubarina? Does that sound good to you?"

"Ooh, oh, okay. Sounds good to me," Tubarina replied.

"You see? Everything always works out in the end," said Ester.

"You got exactly what you wanted," Polvina pointed out.

"And that's about as good as it gets," completed Dinho. Everyone laughed as they continued back to Salacia. Laughing was always a staple of their adventures, which seems a bit weird because that's not how a good story is concluded. But anyway…
