"As true as that is, I have no intention of forgiving them anytime soon." They've duped me. They made fun of my intelligence. They made fun of me for believing in strange beings." Carlos states.

"I know. I'm frustrated with them as well, but they're still our brothers. We will not abandon our ties with them because of this stupid act. Take a look at it. They are not truly cruel children. They're always friendly. Even when they irritate me, particularly James. "I accept his apology." Logan expresses himself.

"You're a good friend for taking that action." says Carlos.

"I'm not at all ready to grant them my forgiveness. Does that mean I'm a bad person? Worried, he says.

"No, needing to wait until you're ready is totally normal." Logan gives him comfort.

"What are your plans for today?"

"I want to go to the comic book store." Carlos responds.

"That's always fun." Logan states.

"You always tell me that comic books aren't going to teach me anything. "Are you offended that I read them?" Carlos inquires.

"No way, buddy. I apologize if I insulted you by saying that." Logan says with a smile.

They head upstairs to get ready for the day. They put on their coats and depart the house after freshening up. The comic book store is within walking distance of their home. Logan insists they need the exercise rather than asking their parents to drive them there. Carlos begins to object but realizes he would lose the fight, so he trudges through the shallow snow and somewhat treacherous walkways until they arrive at their destination.

They know the comic shop manager well because he's a freshman in college and very nice to them. Most of his regular visitors are younger than him.

"Hey guys. "How are you?" He says this while placing some books on a shelf.

"Fine, just fine." Carlos remarks as he walks up to the comic books with aliens and other strange creatures.

"He's not in the best of moods, Jamie." His birthday was yesterday, and last night was a mess. James, Kendall, and I tricked him into thinking aliens had invaded his property. When a news crew arrived, things became chaotic, and arrogant so-called alien specialists got involved." Logan explains.

"I found a few I wanted." Carlos replies as he walks towards them and places them on the check out counter.

"Ok, your total is 10.45 ." Jamie says as he examines the total on the register screen.

"That can't be true." "I just did the math on my phone with my calculator." Carlos states.

"It's a birthday deal." Logan explained why you weren't your usual joyful self when you came in. I'm sorry for everything that happened on your birthday." Jamie states.

"Thanks, but won't you get in trouble for doing this?" Carlos expresses his concern.

"Many thanks, man. I appreciate it." Carlos expresses himself.

He and Logan leave the store and return home. After lunch, they simply sit in the living room and watch television. Logan returns home later that evening.

Sunday morning, temperatures plummet to dangerously low levels. Everyone spends the most of the day inside their warm houses.
